"Can highly recommend this bed and breakfast. Christine is a lovely host, friendly and helpful. The room and en-suite was nicely furnished, very clean. Tea and coffee making facilities with a small fridge and on arrival 2 pieces of homemade cake, a lovely touch. The breakfast choice was extensive and all beautifully cooked and presented. The homemade bread was a bonus ! Well situated for short walk to beach or town. Highly recommend. Thank you Ian and Shelagh"

They are very knowledgeable about the places to visit on the island. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be returning next year. The hotel is ideally situated in Shanklin, close to amenities and the views are stunning."

"I recently stayed in Summerhill Apartments. I was in Steephill. The accommodation was spacious, clean and had lovely views over Shanklin. The kitchen had everything that you could possibly wish for and the bottle of water, biscuits and jam that greeted me on arrival was a pleasant surprise. I would highly recommend this accommodation and the owners are very friendly and helpful."

Westbury Lodge

"This was our second visit to Westbury Lodge B&B, Shanklin. Isle of Wight. We travelled as foot passengers on the ferry from Portsmouth to Ryde Pier Head, then caught the train to Shanklin which takes about half an hour. Westbury Lodge is about a fifteen minute walk from the station. Upon arrival we were met by hosts David & Rosemary, shown our room and then had tea and coffee in the guest lounge. We stayed in room 2 on the ground floor for the second time, which is a thumbs up to the room itself. Breakfasts were excellent, plenty of everything. During our stay we walked along the esplanade to Sandown to the north and Ventnor and Steephill Cove to the south, where they sell crab pasties in the Crab Shed. An excellent find. Another walk later in the week was along the old railway line into Wroxall. The bus service is very good and you can get anywhere on the island without using a car. There are plenty of places to eat in Shanklin and Ventnor and you are spoilt for choice, one place in particular is the Ventnor Kitchen Bistro, for something a bit different. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Westbury Lodge and will return. Terry & Linda"
