"I had a fantastic stay! I stayed at four hotels in Shaoguan over five days, and this one was the cheapest, but I'd give it my 1.5th place ranking (the one ranked first is because it has a private hot spring). First of all, the cleanliness was excellent, and the toilet in the bathroom was very comfortable. Secondly, the hotel is very close to Shaoguan East Railway Station, which was perfect for storing my luggage on the fifth day of my trip. The service was excellent, and everyone was very helpful, including the two young ladies at the front desk and the laundry staff. Since I didn't know that the breakfast voucher had to be booked through the official app, the front desk even gave me breakfast and a late check-out, so I'll give them a good review (although I would still give a good review even without the voucher). Finally, I really appreciated the facilities; the elevator requires a room key to use, which ensures security. Since I didn't take any photos, I'll just post a few travel pictures."

"1. The hygiene is terrible. Upon checking into the room, I found cigarette ash everywhere – see picture below. The glass in the bar was covered in dust. 2. The toilet in the bathroom was broken and couldn't be repaired; it's clearly been neglected for a long time. 3. The restaurant management is chaotic. It was crowded during the May Day holiday, and by 9:30 PM, there was practically no food left. I complained to the staff, but they said there were too few staff. 4. Bottled water is charged. When I asked for more than two bottles, they said there would be an extra charge. For a room costing over 400 yuan, this is the first time I've heard of charging for bottled water. 5. The customer service phone is frequently unreachable and no one answers. 6. The room cleaners didn't make the beds or tidy the bedding – this is the first time I've encountered this. The staff later explained they forgot. Speechless. 7. The price on Gaode Maps is cheaper than on Ctrip. In short, it's not suitable for traveling with children or business trips. It's an older hotel, but the management is chaotic. The lobby is five-star, but the rooms are budget hotel standard. Don't come here!"

"I booked one night for the Dragon Boat Festival, and when I arrived, the scenery was so stunning it far exceeded my expectations, so I extended my stay for another night. I rarely leave reviews voluntarily, but I just couldn't help myself this time. I kept raving about it, praising my husband for picking such a great place. First, let's talk about the scenery. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer an unbeatable view: country paths below, a babbling brook, and crops – it all brought back fond memories of my childhood. Nan Shui Lake is nearby, and it's a short drive to Yun Mountain. Second, although it's a guesthouse, the hotel environment feels just as good as a five-star hotel. The bedding and towels were very clean, and the toiletries provided were excellent; I even took the unused ones with me when I left, haha, I just couldn't bear to throw them away. Third, the food was also fantastic. The complimentary afternoon tea, beer, and coffee were all great. But the most important thing is that the food ingredients were incredibly fresh. I personally saw the staff go out to buy groceries after we ordered our meals. The chicken was probably from their backyard, freshly slaughtered, and the eggs were super fresh, as was the corn, picked straight from the field. Even better, everything tasted absolutely delicious. We ate three meals there, and each time we cleaned our plates. Fourth, the air in the mountains is so fresh and it's incredibly quiet. All you can hear are the wind, the water, and birdsong. It's truly stress-relieving! As someone who's lived in the city for five or six years, staying here for a few days brought an unprecedented level of joy; it's so therapeutic! I was sad to leave, and I will definitely be back! Goodbye, Shaoguan, what a refreshing and captivating city~"

There is a gym and karaoke room but the karaoke looks more like night club, swimming pool looks old too and it’s closed. Room size ok, necessities are all equipped but lack of power points for charging and no international sockets. Shower surprisingly very comfy good water pressure with enclosed shower and bath tub, and I am very happy to see the washlet toilet. Room comes with a balcony with table and chairs and the view is nice. Free coffee and tea at the lobby. Buffet breakfast variety more local and food are all quite oily, very tasty though. There is a male staff at the reception which I would like to compliment, he helped us book DiDi during our stay throughout using his own account as we have issue with our WeChat. Excellent service! Took DiDi to nearby bainian dong jie for night market and food, must go place if you visit Shaoguan, try the mu mian ting chuan shao, very nice."

By taxi, it takes just around 10–15 minutes to get to Shaoguan National Park. The breakfast was also included. Well, it’s just okay, but at least it’s good that they provide it. It’s simple, but it has both Chinese and Western food. The staff was very friendly, and check-in was very fast. About the room, it’s nice but kinda really small.
