Great experience; appreciate the warm hospitality from everyone, from concierge to front office, housekeeping to restaurant and lounge. Also loved the stunning bird’s eye view of Shenyang and the cozy night view in the evening!! Only one slight disappointment: the hotel doesn’t have any international sockets (albeit being an international brand - not sure if that’s the norm in China though). Plus-point was when the call centre staff took the initiative to send their concierge member to buy an adapter for me when I called them and was told that they didn’t have any adapters available in the hotel at that point in time to lend me. Really appreciated the initiative. Though the concierge member brought the wrong type of adapter (China to UK instead UK to China - thought that should be at least commonsensical for someone working in an international brand); and he was slightly unpleasant to deal with when he demanded for payment for the adaptor even though the wrong type was bought. He was also hesitant to escalate the issue to the duty manager at first until I really insisted. Duty manager resolved the issue seamlessly, took the initiative to bring one from their office and sent all the way to my room - again appreciate it. Overall, great environment and professional but warm hospitality. All other concierge members were also extremely helpful! Jacky also took initiative to send me a GPS location of the nearby police post when I needed to settle some documents there.

Today morning, an power outage happened in the surrounding including this hotel, we need to walk down 15 floors carrying luggage because we need to check out and going to airport, even though a staff has helped. Anyway, they try to do the best and have prepared take away breakfast for anyone who like it.

This place is amazing. I got a free upgrade to a suite, the housekeeper, Aunty Yan, was also amazing. As I caught a bug there, she made sure to give me a lot more bottled water everyday. Since I was barely eating and felt that the welcome biscuit was pretty good, she gave me a new pack almost daily. Anyway, the hotel has got a very cosy feel and is really clean and tidy. Down side is that it is a little quiet. I highly recommend though. Breakfast spread had a pretty wide variety too.

Every day when I come back from tutoring with my children, I go to the laundry room to wash clothes. The hotel architecture is absolutely beautiful. Anywhere I walk within the hotel is spacious, modern and really just gorgeous. I definitely wished I could have stayed longer - the bed and bathtub themselves were beyond cozy. The swimming pool is crystal blue, open all year round, and kept at 28 celcius. Daily kitchen is located on the top floor with, again, beautiful architect and window views. Hospitality of the staff was well beyond also. As soon as I arrived at the hotel, the attendant lead me out of my taxi and insisted on carrying my bags, while more attendants kept opening doors for me and leading me to the front desk and then to my room. They explained everything while in my room too. The front desk lady offered me late check out right upon request. And the friendly waitress in the daily kitchen stayed within my presence just so she could be attentive to all my needs. I truly have never felt so welcomed in a hotel before.
