"The location is great—very close to Hadimba Devi Temple and just a 5-minute auto ride to Mall Road. The property has its own parking, which is a big plus if you’re driving your own vehicle. The staff was very cooperative and helpful. The food was average—not bad, but nothing special. We had a mountain view room, but the view was partly blocked by nearby buildings. Overall, it was a good stay, especially for the price. I would recommend it to couples and families."

"Yalakhom is situated at a remote yet accessible village in Himachal Pradesh called - Kalgha. Kalgha comes in the way to Kheerganga Trek, so those who are planning to go for the trek may consider staying at Yalakhom, as it is a great place to rewind and relax. I stayed at Yalakhom in the first week of June, the weather was pleasant and the rains made my stay even more pleasurable. When you will be at Yalakhom there won’t be any view you could take your eyes off. The people managing the homestay are also great. They take their time in cooking food, but they will serve you the freshest food possible with wide variety to choose from, that too at such a remote place. The wonderful folks at Yalakhom also offer accompanied guidance for treks, however I wasn’t aware of this until my final day at Yalakhom, so I couldn’t make use of the same. Pemba bhai, Agrimji, Resham bhai and Yangzee didi must be specifically mentioned. They will accomodate you as you are their friend, while respecting your privacy at the same time. I highly recommend Yalakhom notwithstanding your purpose of vacation, be it trekking or taking a peaceful break at the Himalayas."
