"The best hotel in Iceland"

"Good location quite and clean. The only problem is we booked a room with kitchen but the first one we got has no kitchen in it, called the hotel and get the 2nd room which has the kitchen."

"Surprisingly an amazing place, I was not expecting such a pretty location too. The nearby hiking trail between Hellnar to Arnarstapi was beautiful. Probably one of the best bookings during my Iceland trip because the room was a good size, with lots of various storage space options, and many great amentities. I appreciated the mini fridge and kettle which isn’t really common in Iceland hotels. The bathroom was nice and clean too. Staff were friendly! Just a fantastic place!"

"Laundry and drying services are chargeable. Breakfast options are a bit limited. The bathroom lacks an extractor fan, making it very humid. The room has heating and a window. Parking is available but can get full. The singing activities at night didn't end until past 11 PM. Remember to bring earplugs."

"Arriving at this resort is the start of a logistical and customer service nightmare: An unmarked labyrinth: You get lost among unrelated restaurants and private homes, searching for a reception area that no one seems to know where to find. Parking disaster: Cars driving haphazardly across the grass. It's impossible to tell if you're parking in an official lot or in the middle of a garden bordered by a few stones. Zero hospitality: The reception staff is curt and unfriendly. It's clear that in northern Spain, we're miles ahead in terms of warmth and professionalism. Commercial dungeons designed to squeeze you dry: The photos sell charming cabins, but the reality is that you're given a tiny room with an obvious double purpose: A cramped space where everything is crammed together and the amenities are limited to a microwave, a kettle, and a handful of cups. Zero cutlery: A blatant attempt to prevent you from preparing your own food, forcing you to spend money at their restaurant. As if the size weren't enough, the hygienic conditions inside are bordering on unacceptable by any hotel standard: Dust accumulation: General room cleaning is practically nonexistent, demonstrating a complete disregard for guest comfort. Cloudy shower: The shower screen is disgusting; it's completely opaque, covered in a thick layer of limescale and dried soap scum from previous guests. The final straw, and the most serious issue with the entire accommodation, is a negligence they deliberately conceal on their website: Freezing in August: With outside temperatures of 7°C at night, the cabin is a veritable icebox. The ridiculously small mini-stove provided is incapable of heating the space. Timed hot water: The water heater in the bathroom barely lasts 20 minutes. If you exceed that time, you're condemned to shiver for an hour and a half waiting for the tank to refill. Verdict: A completely disastrous experience. They sell you the magic of Iceland and deliver a dirty, freezing, and claustrophobic corner."
