"My stay at the Wiesler Hotel went beyond my expectations. I booked the tiny room because I am not fussy about having a big room. When I entered the room I was disappointed because the bed was above ground level and that it's a no no for lumbago sufferers, such as I. The size was actually quite decent, certainly no 'tiny' at all, and so was the bathroom but the bed put me off. I walked down to the reception desk, and I asked for an upgrade. I told the senior gentleman at the desk (could he be the general manager or even the owner?) that I did no like the bed without footboard. He was most understanding and he issued 2 keys for me to check and to choose from the Comfort bedroom and the Grand bedroom. I chose the former -the bed had a proper footboard, legs and headboard. He offered me to stay at the Grand for the same price of the Comfort, I was very pleased by the kind offer but I said that I was happy to go for the Comfort. As he insisted I accepted the Grand bedroom, which has the size of a one-bed apartment. The location is spot on: it's right in the city centre with views to the river Mur in front. I had the buffet breakfast in my last day too and I highly recommend it if you enjoy a good quality and varied breakfast. I've tried the local red wine too at the bar in the lounge, which was excellent and at a surprising low price- after all this is Austria! The decoration of the rooms aren't the typical you find in a 4 stars hotel with history and the curious eye has seen in the lobby's beautiful colour lithographs that the hotel has changed its style a few times over the last century. But it won't put me off to stay back tat the Weisler next time I am in Graz."

"Hotel war super. Über das Frühstück kann ich nichts sagen da ich nicht gefrühstückt habe. Am Service beim ein- und auschecken ist das Personal sehr nett und freundlich auch die Reinigungskräfte. Ich würde mir auf dem Zimmer ein Wasserkocher wünschen und vielleicht auch Teebeutel aber ansonsten trotzdem super"

"A beautiful classy old school hotel. The single room was perfectly adequate with a large comfortable bed and a large bathroom with good quality fittings. The food and service in the restaurant was excellent. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk across a park to the historic centre. The location means that it's very peaceful and I slept well. All in all a great stay and I would definitely return should I visit Graz again."
