"• room: nice room a little dusty and in need for maintenance but the kitchen is fully equipped
• amenities: there is a gym with few cardio tools and one multi exercise machine which is enough for an average gym workout, they also have a pool which I skipped because overcrowded by kids
• location: well placed near the central market and 10 min from the main streets of CBD. There are 2 big shopping malls within 10 min walk and a big supermarket 2 min away. Not too noisy at night and pretty safe area to walk
• staff: helpful and kind
my background: I travel 320 days a year since 8 years staying in all range of accomodation from hostel to 5star. I just review objectively what I see with no judgement"

"Pool was fantastic albeit over chlorinated (my silver jewelry oxidised instantly so ladies please remember to take your jewelry off). Location was good. Room was clean and bed was comfy. The cons: no free water bottles in the room. Charging ports were not next to the bed so unable to charge our phones close to us overnight. And the bathroom is not fully private (sliding doors and large gap between the door and the wall meant you couldn’t fully close it and it’s a little awkward when you’re staying with business colleagues!)"

"Very confusing parking situation with the multi-plex parking ($25 a day)
Once you get through that, great location to travel to the Victorian Markets etc.
I was surprised at how sprawling the complex was, and how confusing it could be, very different to destinations like say, Marina Bay Sands, etc.
Clean rooms, good service, and overall very happy. Taking a young child back and forth to the parking wasn't great though. The Valet was ($70?) which would be alright if we didn't have a kid that needed random things from the car now and then."

"We were disappointed with this hotel. We are having a 6 week tour staying at hotels and motels along the southern Australian coast. Standard wise, this was the worst. Hotel we had stayed in. We stayed twice (with a side trip in the middle). The first room was just not clean, the bathroom mirror was really smeary and the bedroom mirror was covered in hand prints. The carpet in the passageway of the 15th floor was filthy and also needed a good vacuum. On our second stay, the standard of clean in the room was not much better and we did not get any room service on the second day despite hanging the request card on the door.. on the positive side, the bed was comfy although you only get one large pillow. The hotel is conveniently located with a large precinct opposite, a short walk to the Quayside and trams taking you into the city without charge."

"The Langham in Melbourne is ideally located for easy access to the CBD, transport and excellent restaurants and bars. The walk along the riverbank is really enjoyable. The facilities of the Hotel are well maintained and the service provided by staff is courteous and professional. Our room was very clean and the amenities were all that we needed. There was minimal noise at night. We had a restful, enjoyable stay."

"The Kimberley Hotel was really good. Staff were very accommodating considering I had booked for 5 people and trip.com allowed us to book a four bed room for 5 people (i had assumed it included a roll out bed) Was very annoyed when we arrived as very tired after a long drive, however the staff at The Kimberley Gardens Hotel were very accomodating and upgraded us to an adjoining room at no extra cost. Would not book with trip.com again, but would definitely stay at Kimberley Gardens again."

NNatashazwinWe had an amazing stay at Hotel Chadstone Melbourne MGallery Collection. From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly, professional, and attentive, making us feel welcome and well cared for.
The room was beautifully styled, clean, and very comfortable perfect for relaxing after a busy day. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and of high quality.
The absolute highlight of our stay was the swimming pool. It was stunning, with incredible views and a calm, luxurious atmosphere. It was the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy some quiet time.
The hotel’s location was also ideal, right next to Chadstone Shopping Centre, which made everything so convenient.
Overall, a truly 5-star experience. We will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Melbourne!

The facilities were clean, well-maintained and comfortable, creating a pleasant atmosphere. However, I would suggest that bottled water be available in the room for added convenience. I also really enjoyed the food, it was fresh, well-prepared, and flavorful, with good variety. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.

MMisafir KullanıcıThe 69th floor apartment was absolutely amazing . The views are breathtaking. The apartment was just the right size and the little outside / closed in deck was good on a chilly Melbourne night.
The only downfall was the indoor swimming pool it was FREEZING 🥶 !!! So not good after a long day walking around Melbourne city and ready to relax and have a swim !!! The Spa was nice and hot.

Room was clean but pretty sure the bathtub was not cleaned from previous usage as there was soap scum/dirt on the sides. And no body soap.

MMisafir KullanıcıI stayed at house 13 on March 10 2025, and there a gang of black people having a party over the night at house 12. I don't want to discrimate people and I used the word ”black” merely to describe that group of people that night. The music is very loud, and from time to time there are heavy drum beats which you can feel the vibration from the floor, and sometimes they knocked the wall of the townhouse separating house 13 / 12, and I supposed no one can sleep under this situation. Both my wife and me could not sleep but scared because they are young & strong black males. Finally we turned on the light at 2 a.m. and open the curtain to tell them to quiet from our 1/F balcony when 3 of them were arguing with a woman loudly in the common backyard. They ignored and continued!
At 5 p.m. it's raining but I could not tolerate anymore, I went out to tell them silence please! A big tall black guy (not brown, very black) said ” I got you!”.
Frankly speaking, I was a little bit scare., but what elase I could do?!
When the reception open next day (house 1?), I complained and requested a change of room (actually house). The reception ladies are very friendly and they said they had reported the police twice that night for the noise is too loud & affecting many customers staying at different houses that night. But they do the same regardless the police warning. According to the reception, she had blacklisted this customer from booking the Quest hotel chain nationalwide (Australia) anymore. When I returned to the hotel the other day, I got a thank you card apologize for what had happened together with a bottle of wine for the inconvenience caused.
Although I had a nightmare in this hotel, I think it is a one-off incident, and I will still recomend this service apartment.

JJason369369I recently stayed at Novotel Melbourne on Collins, and overall it was a great experience. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of the city, with easy access to shops, cafes, and public transport.
The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable, with large windows overlooking Collins Street. The bed was very cozy and ensured a good night’s sleep. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially at check-in — they made everything smooth and welcoming.
Breakfast had a good variety of options, and the dining area was bright and pleasant. The gym and facilities were well-maintained, though the pool was a bit small.
Overall, it’s an excellent choice for both business and leisure stays. The combination of great location, comfort, and professional service makes it one of the best value stays in Melbourne CBD.

GgowanchaidotcomWe stayed altogether three nights here. The hotel was converted from a historical building dated back to 1890s . We enjoyed the stay-included breakfast at Alluvial restaurant. It got charming vibe. the King Classic room we stayed is spacious consider it is in zone 1 of Melbourne. The hotel is in walking distance to many of the Melbourne city attractions we are even able to take some rest in the room in our planned city walking trip in the middle of a very hot summer sunny day.
The bathroom provides Byredo toiletries which we like. However, the decor is a bit dated and need refreshing and we are not happy with the service level of the staff. For example, the phone handfree function is not working properly; the safe is according to the hotel ”in the process of replacement” and not working either; the call to ”Instant Service” for help often took more than 5-seconds ring especially during the night time. There is even a false fire alert during one of the morning time of our stay. I doubt it is a standard of Intercontinental hotel or a 5-star rated hotel.
For whom consider staying at this room type of this hotel, please note the windows is fixed and facing the hallway so the room has 1. no natural sunlight 2. no fresh air and 3. needs closing the curtains all the time if you prefer privacy. Another point worth noting is the bathroom floor is very slippery after bath, I would call it a death trap if you wear the one-off slippers that is provided in the room as you can easily get a slip and fall on the bathroom floor even for a grown adult.

The hotel is situated in a very quiet area, perfect for a peaceful getaway. Nights were serene with barely any car noise. It’s about a 10-minute drive to a nearby mall with Coles, Kmart, and other essentials—super convenient. For travelers, it’s around 40 minutes from the airport, which is manageable.
Cleanliness:
This was a mixed bag. Upon entering, we noticed a burnt iron mark and several purple stains on the carpet. We made sure to report these to reception immediately due to the $300 AUD bond fee, to avoid being held responsible.
Being close to a lake or river meant encountering mosquitoes and some large flies. We also found spiders in the bathroom, but we managed to catch and release them outdoors. Towels provided were an issue—one was dirty when we checked in, and even the replacement towel the next day had stains. However, the beds were spotless, which was a relief.
Service:
The front desk staff were excellent—friendly, thorough, and accommodating. They explained all the amenities, including the location of the gym and pool, and handled our late checkout request graciously.
Facilities:
Although I didn’t personally use the gym or pool, the in-room facilities stood out. The smart TV was a bonus, with access to YouTube, Disney+, and Prime Video, ensuring entertainment for the family.
Room:
The two-bedroom apartment was incredibly spacious, with two bedrooms flanking a central living room. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, complete with an exhaust fan to keep the heat out. The beds were the highlight—so soft and comfortable, providing an excellent night’s sleep.
Overall:
While the initial issues with bugs were unpleasant (I dislike insects), once we cleared them out, the stay became very enjoyable. The spacious layout, serene environment, and cozy beds made it a pleasant experience overall.
