RRabePaulThe first thing to know about our room can NOT be ignored -- we had to walk up three flights of steep stairs to get to it. After a full day of enjoying our time in Split, this is NOT how we would want to end the day. Also, it is NOT fun to go up & down these stairs to pick up something we forgot to grab on the way out. If you have any kind of problem about going up steep stairs, I'd recommend avoiding our room. HOWEVER, this place is located near the harbor, the main bus station, old city, and typical pickup points for tours. Also, there are innumerable shops, restaurants, ATMs, and even a grocery store nearby. If location is important, this place would be hard to top. Our room had shower, AC, in-room safe, coffee-maker, iron & board (small), mini-fridge, free wifi, and TV with scores of choices. It was clean, well-maintained, and quiet. Staff was willing & able to take our suitcases up & down the stairs, an example of their willingness to make our stay pleasant. If you reserve directly with the hotel, and pay in cash, you can get a 10% discount. If you can overlook the steep & long staircase to get to your room, this place is good value for this city.
