Local hotel in central Kathmandu Not far from Thalem and Durbar square Good hotel if you are travelling on a budget while enjoying a nice Nepali deco with a patio-stupa in the center of the property. Room was pretty old but reasonable for the price!

Kathmandu is a stressful city with a sad underbelly. At the Green Horizon, you're removed from it all and greeted with a cheerful smile every day. I got a lovely room with balcon, big bathroom and booked three days straight away. Also the food in the restaurant is cheap and delicious. Green Horizon is a place to relax. Would come back every time.

Location is alright, there’s occasional cockroaches running past you when you are in the room, cleanliness has a lot to improve on. Worst part is that I booked a single room and was given a room next to the elevator with a window without curtain, anyone tall enough would be able to look into my room and everything in it, to add on to that, the room was next to the elevator and you can hear every footstep and noise/chat coming from the corridor, and when the elevator moves, there’s this super unnecessary music that runs with it so you would get a sense of that throughout the day and night. When I went to the receptionist to ask for a different room, she told me there’s no other rooms available and I have to pay an extra 1500 rupee to upgrade to a different room, that amount, adding with the original I paid for- would already be much higher than a standard deluxe room. Obviously she and the hotel was trying to scam me by leveraging on giving a super lousy room at first. Even though they eventually agreed to change room for me at no charge, I was honestly traumatised by this hotel and was uncomfortable through the stay. Then at check-out in the next morning, the guy was reluctant to let me go asking if I had already paid and making calls to confirm about it. Overall there’s surely better rooms for similar price in Thamel, so do try to skip this hotel unless you like some good memorable reasons to spoil your trip.

Absolutely great stay. Stayed for 7 days. Staff is super friendly. They clean and change the bedsheets frequently. Breakfast is available with pay or booking. In the dorms, you get a locker. They have a lovely rooftop patio to enjoy your take outs. They have water dispensers as well. Pro -tip : Exchange your money at the hotel at reception rather than at money changers, you will get a better rate. Overall 5 stars

10min away on foot from the airport, perfect for a short stay to catch the next flight. Very funktional, personnel very helpful and kind. Breakfast is also good, we had the Indian breakfast.

The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The bathroom was hygienic and cleaned daily. The staff were super friendly and always ready to help with anything. The location is also very convenient — close to shops, restaurants, and major attractions. Wi-Fi worked well, and there was always hot water available. Overall, it’s a perfect “value for money” hotel — you get great service at a low cost! ⭐ Rating: 4.5/5 Highly recommended for anyone looking for a nice, affordable place to stay in Nepal.

Quite near to airport but the road condition aroundis pretty bad.. walking from airport requires you to cross a big road and requires a little finding to the place. Cleaniness can be improve but most basic neccessities are there in the room not many to complain about. Pretty basic room for the price.
