"Very good location. Just stone’s throw from the hotel are the 60s tradition wet market, shops and malls to the new modern big malls. Big bright lobby with seats. Reasonable range and quality of food provided for breakfast buffet . Will be good if they provide the breakfast buffet as an option. Gave only 3 stars for cleanliness because we were given a smoking room even when we have booked a non-smoking room. The room has a weird smell even after they said they have cleaned it. They claimed all rooms were fully booked so can’t change. The hangers are those types that cannot be taken out and they were really built for tall people. Short people have difficulty hanging their clothes and if they are old, is “mission impossible”for them. No stools in the room to ease the challenge. The body soap and shampoo dispensers were difficult to press and only has very miserable drop being dispensed each time. Quality of the shampoo + conditioner (stated on the dispenser) is not good for female hair especially if is long."

"Convenient location near food courts and shops, about a 15-minute walk to Nagoya Hill Mall, though the route has many uncovered potholes - walk with caution. Contemporary room design but poor housekeeping; towels and slippers were not replaced, and I returned to find no towels on the rack. Breakfast spread is extensive, featuring live egg and noodle stations. Overall, much needed improvement on housekeeping."

"Location: Very close within walking distance from Batam Centre. Although within walking distance, have to beware that there is no pedestrian crossing to the hotel. Service: Pleasant service from the staff. However a bit disappointed that the room was not prepared in time despite us checking in at around 5PM. Had to wait around the lobby for quite some time. There is welcome drinks available while we wait. Room: Big and spacious enough for 2 adults. One bad thing is the walls were quite thin so sometimes can hear others voice, and also the doors closing is especially loud. Meal: Both days we were unable to find seats when we first arrive. Had to walk around for a while before finding table. The offerings were pretty standard. When we arrive at around 9am most of the menu were already finished. Recommended to go early to secure seats and more food options. One plus is it is located at the top floor so there is a good view around the hotel."

"This is overall the best choice if you want to stay in the Bengkong Laut / Golden City area, especially if you can get a room at SGD 20.00 or less. Do note that the high floors with the best views at night of the amusement park and go kart 🏎️ track are smoking 🚬 rooms. However, don't let this put you off. The smoking rooms actually smell nicer than the non smoking 🚭 rooms, because housekeeping are very effective at deodorising... Fairly large rooms but now getting very old and tired. Sheets and pillow cases have many stains and holes. I encourage you to take photos of all these things as soon as you enter your room. Other guests have noted that the hotel front desk staff have refused to return customers' Rp. 100.000 deposits for PRE-EXISTING stains that were nothing to do with the guests. Apart from that, I've stayed here on exactly 26 different occasions since 2017, so obviously I find it pretty good for my needs!"

"I stayed at Zest Hotel Harbour Bay recently and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel is located right next to Harbour Bay Ferry Terminal, which makes it very convenient if you’re coming from Singapore or Malaysia."

"It’s like a new game in beta mode with early release, and it’s got a lot of bugs, if you catch my drift. The potential is high, but unfortunately, I’ve encountered several hiccups. For example, check-in was only allowed after 4 pm, and there were lots of false promises. Even worse, there were disturbances at night because the staff couldn’t read the room number. They make a lot of mistakes, which adds up overall. The room wall was thin so we could hear everyone. But don’t get me wrong, it’s still a great stay. The breakfast was delicious, and the location is great for accessing all the nearby malls. I hope everyone gives them a chance, as they’re just opening too early and probably need more time to get things right. Overall, I’m still happy with my stay. You get what you pay for the price. Set a low expectation and you will still enjoy this hotel. I do wish the best for this hotel and hope they will improve from here."

"Room 706 I wanted to share that despite this is a really old hotel you can tell that they trying to make little improvements for example I noticed that the curtains are new. I believed the all of the staffs are well trained - bellboy, recept. waitresses and even housekeeping staffs keep smiling at you welcoming you and always helpful really thumbs up. I observed also every detail they have done to keep every corner of the hotel clean and tidy . Restaurant food is also delicious. Despite limited choice of food, the food taste really not bad. I like it that they keep their pastries in the warmer to keep it fresh, Again despite the smaller size room, it’s so nice to have a side table and chair to have our meals, dressing table and chair, a place for baggage, so many hangers a pair of slippers, fridge also working. All that we need for a short stat really thoughtful of them. I also find the pillows and bed very good and I slept very well . Hotel is unblocked so the feelings is good. Sound prove also ok. Doorway is also very bright. Just 5 mins walk to grand Batam mall and the wet market A2 and Batam city mall where we had dim sum so yummy 1-2 improvements is that the aircon is really noisy. Thought the towels smells good but there is a bit of stain 😬"
