"Great location, making it only a short drive to nearby attractions sites. The service upon arrival was very welcoming. One of the Japanese lady at the front desk spoke really good English and we spoke about nice places to eat so that was nice. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was soft and comfortable. The room had an open floor layout, which meant that there is no wall between the bed (room) and the bathroom. However, upon taking a closer look I moved that there are sliding dots that shoes you to create a wall between the two areas, so that was a cover design. In terms of amenities there aren’t many. There is a communal area behind the reception which has a communal kitchen that has toasters, microwave, coffee machine, cutlery and I think that’s it. There is a vending and a small laundry room (which you have to download an app so that you can pay to use). Finally, it is worth mentioning that the view from the room was simply gorgeous. Waking up to such a view makes you happy and excited. Overall, it was a really countable stay."

"There is a strong odor inside the whole room, it smells like moist and very unpleasant. We had to use air freshener to make it more breathable. The room is in old condition and not clean enough. Bathroom is very tiny. Expect a long walk from lobby to the room if you stay in East wing, which is not so convenient for elderly. Upon checking, the air conditioning vent is all clogged with dust. They need to pay more attention in cleaning. The only good thing is the free child playground and the food quality is pretty good."

"Rooms were large, walls seemed soundproof, had a public bath that operated from 530 to 9am and then from 3pm till late. Breakfast and dinner buffet had a spread, but were the same items for the two consecutive nights we stayed."

"My recent stay at Hotel Kadoman left me thoroughly impressed. The generously sized rooms provided ample space to unwind and relax, adding an extra level of comfort to my stay. What truly stood out, however, were the culinary offerings. Both dinner and breakfast were a culinary delight, with each dish crafted to perfection and bursting with flavor. The service was equally commendable, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant and memorable experience. "Very beautiful place, and the room was truly excellent: spacious, bright, warm, with impeccable bedding and cleanliness. The bathroom is large and includes a bathtub, and the room is very well equipped (electric kettle, small kitchen, large refrigerator). It was also possible to arrange horseback riding and get onsen tickets, which is a real plus. However, for backpackers, this accommodation is not ideal at all. It is very far from everything: – FamilyMart: about a 27-minute walk – Bus stop: about a 21-minute walk – Mount Aso Museum: around 1h15 total (including 20 minutes on foot) – Aso Station: about a 1h15 walk A small anecdote: we first climbed up to the accommodation carrying our 10 kg backpacks, only to see on the door that check-in is actually done at the bottom. It would be helpful to indicate this more clearly downstairs, or at least make it easier to notice for foreign travelers, as we missed the information 😅 Finally, for those planning to walk to the Aso Museum or hiking areas, the path indicated at the end of the residential area near the accommodation does not exist."

"Better to rent a car to get there, so convenience is not somebody who books this place should look for. For relaxing purpose, this is a nice area with lots of green, the down side is it is next to a golf course, so there were sounds of tree-cutting and a bunch of golfers practicing their putts on the practice putting green next to the site for trailers. I am not a big fan of that. Service is closed to non-existent, there were staffs who helped checking us in, they were friendly and did their job explaining all the essential functions of the trailer. They had to use the translator machine to communicate, they were very patient. I can't rate the service too high because after checking in we were pretty much on our own. So not something you should look for if service is a top priority. Best part is there is an onsen next to the site that offers family bath, that's memorable."

"高評価だったのでとても楽しみにしていたのですが、夜ご飯も物足りなくて、朝ごはんもちょっと残念でした。 おかずも似たりよったりで、煮物系が多かったです。*などもあったら良かったと思いました。 食事処が掘りこたつでしたが、温度が入っていなくて寒かったです。 平日だったのでお得に泊まれたとは思ったのですが、金額も1人25000円以上になったので、その金額を出すのならばもう少し満足度が欲しかったですね。 本当に期待していたので、辛口のコメントですみません。 お部屋のお風呂は良かったので、料理をもう少し。。。と思いました。"

"I was welcomed by the grandpa who happened to be ********* so we could chat every night. He provided me with many recommendations regarding the activities and restaurants nearby. He even brought me by car to the starting point of one of the trails in Aso park! There were fruits and many kind of snacks, the room was super clean and comfortable (the only drawback is that it’s slightly pricey). Miyaji is not exactly next to Aso station but you can borrow a bike from the guesthouse, it’s ~20 min away, or take the train (1/h) or a bus (the owner has the timetable). The advantage of miyaji is that it’s closer to Aso « downtown » where you have many restaurants and the shrine (but many of them are closed at night)"

"Like the onsen in the hotel; onsen water is good and big enough for 6-7 person to use. Japanese breakfast served by staff was quite substantial and tasty. The room that we stayed is quiet and faces mountain and park. Bathroom a little small but clean. There wasn’t any wardrobe but there were hooks on the wall and hangers were provided."

"We are greeted warmly when we arrive. Love the classic building and look out from the window. Food is nice and Private onsen is wonderful. We see our shoes drying next to the fire place, thank you so much to the Hotel lady in being so caring."
