"Nice, modern and new hotel in Kinosaki onsen with great hospitality from the hotel owner and his staff. I was welcomed by the owner at the door when I arrived, and they even prepared a beautiful greeting card on my arrival. Welcome drink was provided and the owner recommended good restaurants and provided the USP of each onsen in Kinosaki. The room is spacious, clean and new! I especially like the Japanese style of the hotel. Yutaka and 1-day onsen pass were provided for my stay. As the next day I had to move to another hotel, the owner very kindly helped me to transport my luggage to another hotel near the JR station. Overall, excellent stay, excellent people and excellent breakfast! :) Would love to visit Kinosaki onsen again and stay with Utsuroi Tsuchiya."

"This Hotel is a little bit far off and mainly for winter skiing. There is no restaurant in the Hotel and also in surrounding area. On the other hand, the Hotel is clean and Hotel staff is very friendly."

"Ryokan tradicional en Kinosaki Onsen. Bien ubicado (a unos pocos metros de la calle principal del pueblo). A la llegada, disponen de servicio de transporte desde la estación en autobús (sin coste adicional). A la salida, existe la posibilidad de trasladar y almacenar el equipaje hasta la oficina de turismo próxima a la estación (por apenas 300¥/maleta). Instalaciones excelentes, con seis departamentos tradicionales completos y muy cuidados, como se puede apreciar en las fotografías. Cuentan con tres pequeños baños termales privados dentro del propio Ryokan y un salón con habitaciones privadas para las comidas (cena y desayuno estilo kaiseki geniales, con productos de temporada y proximidad de gran calidad). Servicio impecable, digno de un Ryokan. Muy profesionales, amables y resolutivos. Hubiéramos agradecido alguna indicación/explicación en inglés durante las comidas, pero lo cierto es que no supuso mayores dificultades. Facilitan yukatas, ropa cómoda, pase para los diferentes baños termales públicos del pueblo y todo lo necesario para disfrutar de ellos. Una gran experiencia no sólo de alojamiento, sino también cultural y gastronómica. Muy enriquecedora y recomendable."

"对不是日本人完全不友善的酒店 Not foreigner ( Western & Asian) friendly. We travelled around 70 Roykan in the last 3 years and this is the wrost service we ever had. Japanese get to seat and offered juices when they checked in while we have to stand at the front desk and no juice offered. We asked for the yukata rental (free rental) and the young staff just ignore us twice. We asked for sizes a few times then he just said it’s all here. Then when we picking the only two small sizes he grabbed and give it to the Japanese girl and ignore us or never ask us before he took it as he knows we are looking into those. Very rude. Most of ryokan will bring you to the room or assist to bring luggage or already put in the room for you. This one you do everything yourself after check in. When we get into the hotel room it’s hot as no aircon is on. Then air con is broken so we called reception. With their broken English they insisted I don’t know how to turn on the aircon which I told them the air con is broken, after 15mins on the phone showing me how to on I keep telling them to send the staff up as we are so hot in the room as it’s summer and no window open and no fan was on after moving luggage. They came up and fix the air con for 45mins then told us it’s broken and need to change room. The whole hour we were sweating but no offer of water / drinks or anything and we just stand in the room while they fixing. When they decided the room need to be changed, they asked us to wait downstairs but leave the luggage in the room so we thought they will move luggage to the new room but they did not. Staff see us so hot at lobby didn’t tell us there is free drinking machine that we can get ice juices , they just watch us hot and sweat and not saying a word. When the new room is finished, they gave us the new room key and asked us to move the luggage ourself and return the old key. No help at all and wasted 1.5 hours of our onsen time. No apologies as well. I feel like being treated like a trash. Not enjoyable at all. I paid extra for the sea view room which when they change my room they offered a slightly bigger room but my sea view was mostly blocked (in the pic )which I am not so happy. There is amenities corner at the lobby, at night after the onsen we come back and want to take the lotion as early on it was gone and they didn’t replenish, the female staff have a bad attitude and flip her eyes ask us which room we stayed, we showed her the key and she said the cream is already in the room which her broken English. There is one set in the room but those are small one time pack which we finish after we had the onsen so we want to take another one. She was rude and insist we can’t take. Her attitude was so bad seems like we are stealing. There is an amenities cornor, if you not allowing guest to take please do not have this setup. Food is okay with the buffet. Wagyu beef is nice but they is a normal standard for Japanese onsen buffet nothing too special. Overall, with the price paying compare to other roykan in Japan, this hotel have very bad service to non Japanese. There is also nothing special for this onsen. Probably best to try somewhere else."

"The hotel is a bit old style  As a Onsen hotel - the facilities ; Elevators should have hand rail or / and a seat inside the lift to allow older adults to hold on or in case of fainting occur !  There should be towels inside the spa area instead of asking customers to bring along the towel to & back to room ! There should be towels available inside the spa area !  The free transportation starting from 4 o’clock till 9:30 is good but it would be better if the free transportation can start a little bit earlier say I’m 12  The hotel staff are where we helpful and where we polite thank you !"

"위치는 역 바로 앞이라 저는 좋았어요 그러나 온천 중심지하고는 거리가 있어서 사람 성향에 따라 다를듯합니다 3층에 묵었는데 옛날 건물이라 엘베 없고 계단이 좀 높아요 1층은 카페로 운영되는데 조식 괜찮았어요 방은 다다미로 바닥 입니다. 매트리스? 너무 푹신해서 저는 좀 불편했고 온천이라 방에 욕실 없어요. 화장실만 있어요. 호텔 전체에 공용 욕실이라도 있음 좋을텐데 없어요. 온천 가서 씻지 않으면 못씻어요. 그거 모르고 갔다가 완전 낭패... 아침에 온천갈 생각 없었는데... 유카타 2층에서 가지고 올라가야 합니다. 방은 넓어요"

"It's a lovely hotel in traditional Japanese style. It has a pretty inside garden and an onsen (no private onsens for booking, only common ones for all hotel guests that are divided for males and females). Hotel provides you with a yukata and a haori for your stay (you don't rent it, they are included in price), which is very convenient. When I asked the receptionist if I can buy them, 'cause I loved them so much, she said I can take them for free if I want. I double checked to avoid any miscommunication, but she insisted that I don't have to pay extra for those. Everything in the fridge, including alcohol, is free. Hotel is a bit far from the main street, but has a transfer, so I'd say it's fine. We ordered a dinner and breakfast, and both were absolutely wonderful, had several courses."

"Рёкан расположен а пешей доступности от вокзала, можно дойти за десять минут. Удобно проходить семь онсенов, один из них совсем близко. Еще есть две приватные и две публичные бани в самой гостинице, та, что с пузырьками, интересная. Кормят вкусно, и на ужине, и на завтраке. Важно, что есть англоговорящий персонал, гораздо легче освоиться, если не знать японского. Все были вежливы."

"A very authentic Japanese experience! Plus I booked a kaiseki dinner, which was delicious and unusual for a European person. The food was very fresh and beautifully served. Used public and private onsen of the ryokan, both were nice."
