"A Mixed Stay at Apo View Hotel: Room for Improvement I recently stayed at Apo View Hotel in Davao, booking a twin room for myself and my cousin upon arrival. Given the hotel's reputation, I had fairly high expectations, hoping for a comfortable and top-tier experience. Unfortunately, my first night left me feeling a bit underwhelmed. The amenities felt outdated, and two major issues stood out: the internet connection was very weak and laggy, and the air-conditioning in our room wasn’t working properly, making the space uncomfortably warm. After a long 24-hour journey, I was too exhausted to raise a complaint that night, but I hoped for a better experience in my second booking — a family room. Another point of concern was the service at the reception desk. Upon check-in, I stood before the staff without even being acknowledged. What was more frustrating was that another guest who arrived after me was attended to first. A simple greeting or assurance that someone would be with me shortly could’ve made all the difference in that moment. However, it wasn’t all disappointing. During my first breakfast buffet, I was pleasantly surprised by a friendly and upbeat staff member who went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. His cheerful attitude truly brightened my morning and helped shift my perception of the service. I regret not getting his name, but his hospitality deserves to be recognised. In summary, while Apo View Hotel has potential, especially with its long-standing reputation, there’s certainly room for improvement in terms of guest service and room maintenance. With a few upgrades and more attentive customer care, it could provide the high-standard experience guests expect."

"The only hotel close to the airport so you have no choice if u have a morning flight. I was in Room1 and wifi is very weak. Shower water pressure is also very weak. Room is not sound proof so little sleep can be enjoyed with noisy traffic on main street. Bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. Check your room bedsheet and amenities first time when u enter the room to avoid lost of your deposit when check out . Staff is available 247 so i dont get why trip.com insist that check in must be done before 9pm. Massage place and joilibee are available within walking distance to hotel."

"I just want to say, thank you for a wonderful experience at sun my hotel, even thought theres a slight problem with the door on our room they immediately transfer us to another room and still clean and with complete amenities were seen. I stayed in 4 hotels in davao and this is one of the best hotel I stayed in even just for one night, It has a shower with a functioning heater and also the aircon is cool too, I also want to include the items that I left they even kept it and informed me( will book there soon). I never regret booking in this hotel. THANK YOU!🙂"

"I had a very comfortable and convenient stay at this condo bed spacer. The place is clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described. The bed was cozy, and I appreciated the privacy curtain and personal storage space. The air conditioning and Wi-Fi were both strong, and the common areas (kitchen and bathroom) were regularly cleaned. The location is perfect — close to public transportation, shops, and restaurants. The host/landlord was very responsive and easy to talk to, which made the whole process smooth from check-in to check-out. Highly recommended for students, young professionals, or anyone looking for a budget-friendly but decent place to stay in the city!"
