We were very pleased with the hotel and stayed there at both the beginning and end of our trip to Italy. We rented a car at the airport and parked it right in front of the hotel's door in a private courtyard. That was very convenient. I believe they charged us about 35 Euros each night for that perk. The hotel was luxurious, and the staff were very accommodating and pleasant. They had someone carry our bags to and from our room during check-in and check-out. Everything in the large room worked; it was clean, and there was a safe to store your valuables. As Americans, a few reminders or unexpected things to note. You'll need a power adapter (easily purchased on Amazon) and, unless you bring a voltage converter, make sure any appliances (CPAP, travel steamer/iron, etc) are compatible with both 110V and 220/230V. We didn't find washcloths in any of the hotels in Italy, so we just used hand towels in the shower. The shower at this hotel (both rooms) was a bath/shower combination. There was no shower curtain or door, only a small partition near the removable shower head to keep the water from splashing everywhere, which it basically did. While it is a beautiful historic building, there are a couple of elevators at this hotel, so you don't need to lug your stuff up a bunch of stairs. The room key is enormous and they only give you one. We kept ours in the car whenever we left the hotel so we wouldn't carry it around. Even though we had a car, we found it more convenient to leave it at the hotel and take an Uber to Vatican City rather than walk more than a mile each way, which we also did twice. The area surrounding the hotel was historic and lots of fun. Plenty of places to shop and eat. The breakfast buffet at the hotel each morning was also superb. Plenty of hot and cold items to fill you up before trekking out. That's about it. Don't forget to check out the view from the rooftop at the hotel. Have a great time in Rome!

Roma'dayken favori otelimiz. Bunu yıllardır biliyoruz ve her zaman harika vakit geçirdik. Çok güler yüzlü personel, çok konforlu odalar, çok rahat şilteli geniş yataklar, restoranda yemekler güzel, ayrıca harika salata ve pizza seçenekleri sunan bir bar da var. ve diğerleri. Walls in our room were dirty and dusty. Mold in the bathroom and around our window. A/C controlled by front desk, so you have to call for them to turn it off and on, kind of annoying. Entrance to the museum of Vatican is across the street, so too many people in front of the hotel all the time. Noise in the morning from other guests and house keeping can get loud. Worst part is check out at 10am. Definitely not staying there again.

Hotel Caravel, Stazione Garbatella'dan birkaç blok ötededir. Personel İspanyolca, İngilizce ve İtalyanca (muhtemelen başka diller de) konuşmaktadır. We stayed here for four nights in June of 2025. The location of the hotel is generally good for getting to some of the more noteworthy site (Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, etc.). There's a metro station around 8 minutes walk away, which opens up most of the rest of the city pretty well. We walked from here to the Vatican, which took around 35 minutes, but would be less than half that by cab. The surrounding area is great for clothing shops, but the food we found nearby was mostly so-so, and frequently over-priced tourist fare, though I'm sure if you walk a little farther from the hotel you can find some good options. The room itself was booked for a family of four, and was comfortable. The bathroom and shower had good water pressure, and the AC worked just fine. Some of the sheets were not quite clean, but we just didn't use the one we found slightly dirty. The beds were comfortable and a good size. The room and hotel have little to no facilities, so you're really just paying for room and the location. The exterior entrance is not well marked, and we actually walked past it on the street several times. If you're thinking of booking here, I'd recommend just looking for the GAP store which is directly across the street, much easier to find. Our interactions with the hotel staff were limited. We received a number of automated messages, some of which were contradictory, or had out of date information. After booking and paying for the room (a non-refundable booking) we were told there was an extra ”city tax” not included which would need to be paid before checking in which amounted to around an extra $90 or so, and the offered price of an airport transfer service went up as soon as we requested it (from 85 euros to 95). The hotel arranged the transfer service for us, but the driver left the airport before we could get out of the passport control due to another booking. The driver service showed up at the hotel at the time the flight was supposed to arrive, even though the flight was late, and you'd expect them to know that going through passport control takes easily an hour, so this seems to be quite poor planning on behalf of either the hotel or the service. We ended up taking a taxi from the airport which was also slightly over half the price of the transfer service, so I'd recommend skipping their service, it seems like a rip-off. Taxis from the airport to the city center seem to be subsidized by the government, and were a fixed price of 55 euros (for a normal size car big enough for 4 people) at the time we visited. The train from the airport is also not a bad idea if you're comfortable using the metro, as the train station is just 3-4 metro stops from the nearest metro station to the hotel (Spagna). Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but felt like we mostly paid for the location.

Resepsiyonun yanında bagaj depolamak için küçük bir oda vardı ama kimse gözetiminde değildi, tamamen emanet edenin sorumluluğundaydı. İçiniz rahat etmezse, yanınızda bir zincir kilit getirip valizinizi raflara kilitleyebilirsiniz. Kahvaltı da idare ederdi; çeşit çok azdı, sadece ekmek, jambon, süt ve kahveden ibaretti. Asıl şikayetim ise odanın gerçekten çok küçük olmasıydı; Japon otel odalarından bile daha dardı. El bagajı valizimi bile açacak yer yoktu, eşyalarımı almak için valizimi banyo küvetinin üzerinde açmak zorunda kaldım. Tesisler oldukça eskiydi; klima traktör gibi ses çıkarıyordu ve tuvalet sifonu çekildikten sonra sürekli su akıtıyordu. Bütün gece o şırıl şırıl sesle, adeta bir nehir kenarında uyuyormuşum gibi hissettim. Ancak, tren istasyonuna yakınlığı gerçekten çok kullanışlıydı. Çevredeki diğer otellerin de benzer olduğunu sanıyorum. Neyse ki fiyatı da uygundu, zaten bu fiyata ancak bu kadar olurdu.
