I stayed in a D-Fourth Non smoking room on the 8th floor. The room has a nice view of Mount Hakodate from the balcony and a view of the port from the bedroom window. Room was clean and there is daily cleaning if you ask for it. Cooking utensils are available though no condiments provided. The bath system is electronic and took a while to figure out how to use it. Room was spacious and adequate for 4 of us. What we loved is that while the dryer did not really dry our clothes (separate washer and dryer), the heater in the room was strong enough to dry them and we could borrow a rack from the hotel to hang them out to dry. Only improvement we would like to suggest - we arrived when it was snowing heavily, and as we moved our luggage into the room the floor became wet and dirtied, we had to clean with tissue as there is no floor cleaner available.would be nice to provide self cleaning tools especially since there is a kitchen and things might spill. And also the balcony did not have any ‘balcony’ shoes so it was just too cold to step outside to enjoy the scenary. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay in the hotel. Would choose it again if we go Hakodate.

Location is good for every spot of hakodate hightlight's place, 5-10 minute walk to every spot. Room is clean and bed is big. I like washing machine that for free and reasonable room price.

バルコニー付きの洋室で、奥に海が見え、外の風が気持ち良いお部屋でした。 2食付プランを選びましたが、夕食も朝食も種類も見た目も、質も良くて、全部少しずつ食べたいくらいだったので、また行きたいです。 大浴場は思っていたほど広くはなく、楽しみにしていたスチームサウナは故障していて入れませんでしたが、湯上がりのアイスキャンディーやハスカップ水もおいてあり、美味しくいただきました。 エレベーターは2台しかなく、チェックインやチェックアウト時には、しばらく乗れないことがありましたが エレベーターとフロントやレストラン、浴場への動線が別になっていて、移動はしやすかったです。 夜は卓球（1時間1100円）で楽しめました。

This Japanese onsen hotel is new and clean. It’s a good choice of ours as both the hotel spring bath and the room are spacious and environment is quiet and decorated with taste. The breakfast was provided in super nice private rooms and the food was just too good. We highly recommend the hotel to you.

Chose this hotel as there is a free sightseeing bus. The check in staff lacks common sense as he gave me a map in Japanese even though there’s an English version as I clearly don’t speak Japanese. Need to register for breakfast and will be assigned table according even though there’s restaurant is half empty. Buffet spread is mediocre.

I absolutely love Hanabishi Hotel — I had the best 2-night stay here. The hotel is quiet with no large tour groups, and I really enjoyed the traditional feel and relaxing vibes. I tried all of their room types, and my favorite is the futon room with a private onsen. The futon is very comfortable, and the room itself is incredibly spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful, even assisting me with arranging taxi service. The location is convenient, only about a 10-minute drive from Hakodate Airport. I also loved both the breakfast buffet and the dinner set — they truly pampered me like I was the queen of the world. The public onsen is beautiful and huge. I will forever choose to stay here whenever I’m in the area.

Location is the king. Booked a room that can see the canal right off the window for a peaceful view. Otaru is a small town and most of the places are within walking distance. Stroll along the Otaru canal right in front of the hotel was great! Room itself was normal, and we have one advice for the hotel to just remove the aged cupboards in front of the beds since nobody really needs them to give more walking space and luggage space. Onsen on the top floor was decent though not of the best, offering a good view of the canal. Service at the hotel was normal. Those who have cars will need to pay 1200 yen for one day of parking (will need to inform hotel to reserve the parking space when you go out). Everybody, regardless you are going to onsen or not, needs to pay 150 yen onsen tax when you check in.

Nice public onsen on the top floor. The hotel breakfast is a highlight, with lots of fresh seafood and a wide selection of food and drink. Location is quite far from Hakodate JR Station, so this hotel is more suitable for travellers with a car.

About 10-15mins driving distance from the city center. Parking is located next to it (around 2mins walking distance) where u have to walk through an alley to hotel main door. Perhaps they can install a street light in the alley way or a back door near to parking lots coz it is quite dark and scary to walk alone. Breakfast is lack of variety but acceptable. Other than these, overall is satisfied.
