"I had a wonderful stay at Grand Park Hotel. The location is excellent—just a short walk to Green Lake with its relaxing and beautiful surroundings. The service was truly excellent, and the healthy breakfast options were a great way to start the day. My room was clean and comfortable, making the stay even more enjoyable. I also loved the well-equipped gym located at the top floor, offering a stunning 360-degree view of the city. Overall, a fantastic stay and highly recommended!"

"10/10 will book this hotel again in Kunming!! The location is right smack in the city centre, easy to get around to Nanpibg street by foot (10 mins walk), shuncheng shopping mall. A lot of eateries nearby, no need to worry about it. The hospitality of the staff is also amazing as well, making our stay unforgettable."

"We (two friends) arrived by bicycle, having cycled from Guiyang, but our arrival caused a fuss, about five staff members came out not knowing what to do with our bikes, it wasn’t a nice welcome and was poorly handled. Anyway, nice rooms, amazing big gym, decent size pool. Great view across the city. Reception staff were nice and a guy called Wilson was very helpful."

"It had been 20 years since I last visited Kunming — I was just 7 years old back then. This time, I came back for something truly special: to propose to my girlfriend on Qixi Festival, China’s Valentine’s Day. Given how much this moment meant to me, I wanted everything to be perfect. That’s why I chose the Grand Hyatt Kunming, a brand I’ve always trusted, and booked a Deluxe King Room with Club Access for August 28–30. The first night started well. We stayed on the 26th floor — even though the room was near the elevator, it was surprisingly quiet, and the layout and lighting made it feel warm and comfortable. Everything was off to a good start. But things took a turn the next day — the actual day of the proposal, August 29 — a day I had been planning for a long time. We were given a room on the 24th floor, and from the moment we walked in, I could tell something was off. The layout felt awkward, and the room was noticeably warmer than the night before. I turned on the air conditioning, but it didn’t seem strong enough. I even checked with the hotel staff that afternoon and was told the room was “standard size.” After the proposal (which thankfully went beautifully!), my fiancée and I left the room around 9:00 PM for dinner. Before leaving, we set the AC to 16°C, hoping we’d come back to a cool and comfortable space. But when we returned around 11:30 PM, the room temperature hadn’t improved at all. It was still stuffy, and the bathroom was even worse — no proper ventilation, just heat and humidity. We called the front desk, and two technicians came up. After checking everything, they told us the room was “normal.” I asked if we could switch rooms, but the request was brushed off. They just told us to wait — that it would eventually cool down. By then it was already 2:00 AM. Both of us were completely exhausted and had no energy left to argue. We tried to sleep. But at 8:30 AM, I woke up drenched in sweat — the room still hadn’t cooled down. Honestly, I’m heartbroken by this experience. This day was supposed to be one of the most memorable and romantic nights of our lives. And now, while we will remember it, it’s for the wrong reasons. I never imagined that a stay at a Grand Hyatt, in a room I paid extra for (with Club Access and “Deluxe” in the name), would turn out to be so disappointing. I didn’t come here expecting perfection. But I did expect basic comfort, and at the very least, a response from staff that showed they understood how important this stay was for us. Sadly, that didn’t happen."

"Nice amenities, sumptuous breakfast menu items with local delicacies. The room layout was comfortable and spacious too, with a nice set up of vanity area and rest area. The only downside are the slow service at morning breakfast peak where 2/3 of the days that we stayed there were many uncleared dishes/ plates even after guests leaving resulting to limited seats to choose from. Could see that there are wait staff on the corner but only being clearing the plates at the end of breakfast service around 11am. Other than that, the concierge staff was superb and prompt in supporting us, and helped us to place order for delivery. Other thing to note for international travellers, there no designated smoking areas in the hotel, which led to people smoking within the hotel lobby (right beside the lift) or even along the corridors where your hotel room is at. Aside from the above, the entire experience was lovely clean rooms, and spacious layout. Will recommend."

"Excellent services and very nice behaviors from multiple people in the hotel - an amazingly friendly atmosphere and great English speaking people - a special mention for Colin li - the duty manager , Iris from front desk and Nova, Sally from front desk and concierge desk - in fact each one of them is exceptional in their services. Superb service overall -me and wife will comeback soon:)"

"Loved my room…loved how clean everything was…and the cleaning lady was so friendly…all the staff were really great except that very little English was spoken. I wished I could have stayed longer! Plus it’s close to all the markets where I could get all kinds of foods.  I highly recommend it! "
