This is a quirky/oddball charming hotel experience. The rooftop garden with the pool is pretty amazing, the pool is a teensy bit murky but it doesn't seem to have done me any harm and the food is pretty good. The rooms have great A/C, they are somewhat dark (most seem not to have external windows) but the location is excellent and the staff are great, they'll book taxis etc and the ambience is generally very friendly. It's all situated around an internal courtyard garden, I wish I could have stayed longer.

We were warmly welcomed by staff members with fast, efficient check in and was presented with cold Passionate Fruit drinks which were cold and tasty. No elevator in hotel but I was able to walk the stairs daily without any problems. The room were comfortable size with excellent wifi and cold air. There are 3 English stations on room TV 6,7, and 22. The included breakfast was good with lots of choices. Also Coffee was delivered to my room every morning on request with no charge. The Staff was very nice and efficient including the Owner Danielle. The locations has plenty of souvenir shops and Restaurants right outside of the door. We felt very safe walking day and night. The dinner is served from 1800-2000. The food was excellent. Also a 13 minute walk to the 6 degree restaurant and a 5 minute walk to The Old Fort restaurant with both having excellent foods and both took Visa. Out thanks to Danielle and the wonderful staff for an enjoyable visit.

I traveled to Zanzibar after climbing Kilimanjaro this past July and decided to stay at The Seyyida. I had originally booked this trip for 2020 but we all know how that story ended…The staff at The Seyyida were generous enough to move my booking to 2021, andddd then again to 2022 when my trekking group postponed the trip a second time (still due to Covid). The hotel itself is beautiful. I had a room with a ocean view and I felt like royalty. The bed was HUGE, the bathroom lovely, and the balcony (albeit small) offered a *STUNNING* view. They offer to spray mosquito repellent every night and, although I do highly recommend taking them up on this offer, it does have quite a lingering smell. So plan to be out of your room for dinner or a tour for a couple of hours. The rooftop restaurant is beautiful and offers an amazing view of the city and ocean. The hotel staff was nothing short of amazing. When my hair dryer broke, they found me another. When I needed more towels, they brought me them immediately. When my driver never showed up for a a tour I had booked, they arranged for a new tour and a driver was there in 5min. They mailed a postcard for me when I asked where the bearer post office was! They let me leave my suitcases there after I checked out because my ferry wasn’t until the afternoon—and they even helped me carry my *very* large duffel (from climbing the mountain) all the way to the ferry!!! I also had an amazing massage here on a rainy day when I wasn’t sure what to fill my day with. The front lobby is unreachable by car, but it is perfectly located, and quick/easy by foot to meet a driver on the road. Within walking distance of so much. I didn’t use the pool, but it looked lovely as well. It’s not very big, but big enough to sit and relax. Cannot speak highly enough about the wonderful front desk workers (and all other staff) and this beautiful place.

Excelente localização Limpeza impecável Quarto espaçoso, mas o que vale mesmo e a simpatia e o acolhimento do staff, eles são maravilhosos digo isto com certeza porquê vi como eles tratam todos os clientes❤️ Super recomendo e claro se um dia voltar a Zanzibar voltarei a esta acolhedora casa
