"I stayed in this hotel in this April, which is a wonderful experience. Thus, I brought my family (total 4) to stay in this hotel again. Unfortunately, the experience of this time is not pleasant. First of all, as i m the IHG member, I am entitled to have welcome drink. Last time, we can drink in the lobby lounge, but this time, the waitress declined us to take the drink at the lounge and requested us to take away the drinks. Whats ridiculous?! The welcome drink is offered by the hotel, but i m not wrlcome to drink at the lounge. Secondly, the cleaning service is not pleasant, two cups in my room have not been cleaned. Thirdly, the food serving of beef soup is very unsatisfactory. I don't understand why I requested to have more soup and got a black face from the chef. I spent over US$600 for two nights, but seems not be welcomed from the lounge nor restaurant. I would not recommend others to stay in this luxury but not welcome hotel"

"Very nice, beautiful and looks new accommodation in Tainan amongst the old buildings and houses within the vicinity. It is very near to eateries and night market and you can rent a bike to enjoy a bike vacation riding around Tainan especially with bicycle friendly lanes and most tourists’ sites are within or less than 10 minutes from the hotel. The price of stay is affordable however it does not provide toothbrush and paste but you can purchase them near the cart beside the lift. Good kitchen facilities however with abundance of nice food in Tainan, I don’t cook as compared when I’m in New Zealand. Staffs are very friendly as well and location is excellent and quiet."

"The location is great and very central, so getting around was easy. The price was fair compared to other hotels in the same area, which made it feel like good value overall. The room itself was nice, with a big window and a bathtub that made the stay more comfortable. The hotel is also quite pretty, especially the lobby area which has a nice atmosphere. On the downside, the room decoration and amenities could be improved. Things like the hand soap and blankets felt a bit basic. The AC also did not seem to work properly and had trouble keeping the room comfortable."

"Honestly, this was the worst Shangri-La experience I've ever had. When I got to the room and opened the toilet, there was toilet paper still in it that hadn't been flushed. After using the bathtub, I accidentally spilled some water and discovered that the bathroom floor actually sloped in the opposite direction of the drain, with the drain being the highest point! All the water that should have flowed towards the drain under the sink instead flowed the other way and pooled next to the toilet, staying there all night. I called housekeeping, but no one came, so I had to step into a puddle every time I used the toilet the next day. When I complained to the front desk at checkout about housekeeping not responding, they just brushed it off, saying it was a shift change. Absolutely unacceptable!"
