"Initially booked a deluxe queen suite and Trip.com / hotel confirmed we could add a single bed. Upon arrival, hotel said they couldn't and changed us to a family suite even though they have rollaway beds available and the deluxe queen suite had ample space. Room: Family suite is spacious but A/C took very long to warm up the room. Bathroom is open concept with clothing rack situated outside the shower closet which makes it inconvenient to dress/undress. Breakfast buffet has a decent selection of Chinese dishes including a noodle station. Location: Hotel is ＜10 min drive from train station and old town area which is quite convenient considering that most of the hotels that are walking distance from the old town are dated and undermaintained."

Easy access also to get to the natural scenic areas of the region. The hotel itself is nice, clean, well-maintained. The room is spacious and has modern features. The staff is very helpful, they do their best to accommodate a laowai customer. The only critique I have that is true for the vast majority of the hotels in China that the breakfast isn't exactly attractive for foreigners. One can of course eat Chinese breakfast with steamed buns and spicy soups and things like that most of the time, but occasionally I wouldn't mind to have a western style option available too. In a four star hotel I would expect this to be on the menu"

"The room is spacious, with chairs, a sofa, and cabinets, making it very convenient to store things. The hotel is a bit old, but the amenities and decor are still well-maintained. Hand towels, face towels, bath towels, floor mats, etc., are all fully stocked. The service is excellent and quite prompt. The hotel is a three-minute walk across the street to the scenic area shuttle bus, which takes about 20 minutes to reach Dajin Lake. A five-minute walk from the hotel brings you to the ancient city. Getting to the hotel from the high-speed rail station takes about 40 minutes by bus or 20 minutes by taxi. The breakfast offers a good variety of dishes; on the first day, I had chicken and mushroom soup, and on the second, seaweed and pork rib soup, which was more diverse than I expected. Most essentials were available. The milk and soy milk are instant mixes; the soy milk is plain, and the milk is a bit sweet. You can also order dinner. Even with tour groups, especially in the off-season, breakfast is still hot and comprehensive. The hotel now has central air conditioning at night, providing warm air. It's very quiet and comfortable to stay here. For a trip to Dajin Lake, this hotel comes highly recommended for its food, accommodation, and transportation."
