"I had a reservation for one adult and two children. When I arrived at reception, it was listed as a two-person reservation. They immediately resolved the issue, but the room only had two beds, and they didn't resolve the issue. When I arrived for breakfast, my reservation wasn't listed, and we had trouble getting in. The room's air conditioning wasn't working. Terrible check-in information. They didn't even inform you about the Wi-Fi, breakfast hours, or the restaurant's location. Excessive wait times for check-in or check-out, lines to get to breakfast, and no pool loungers available."

"Gorgeous hotel situated in a quaint square near a church and lovely sound of bells. Our room faced the square. Very nice. Spotlessly clean. Everything we could need, including slippers which are always necessary. Turn down service too. Chocolate. Wine. And hotel staff, so friendly and attentive. Beautifully renovated building. Breakfast was really lovely. Again, staff friendly without being in your face. Good coffee, overnight oats, fruit, eggs. Most everything. We did not dine here but regret having not done so. All in all a winner of a hotel. Would definitely recommend. Only one thing, there really isn't a pool per se but more like a small plunge pool. Apart from that. Five stars."

"My husband stayed here and wanted to take me for a getaway and it was an amazing, tranquil weekend I highly recommend to other couples in need of some downtime. We had very little agenda and the property in off season was so quiet with only two other guest rooms occupied. Staff leave at 10PM-we felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. The oranges and blossoms were in their prime so the fragrance was amazing! There is a front gate you must open/call to enter & exit for maximum privacy and the view from hotel rooms show distant sea. The room was well appointed and comfortable with ample storage, a small fridge, lovely bath products, robes and extra towels/blankets. If we needed anything, we just asked. Our lunch was incredibly prepared and after a short nap, we ventured in the rental car about 20 minutes across the border to Spain for an excellent dinner! Saturday, we spent the day at nearby Cabanas and bought from the artisanal market where we enjoyed our feast on the rooftop terrace, alone with the sunset! For the unique, pastoral, respite with high quality food & service, I think the value is exceptional. I almost do not want to review to keep the secret to ourselves...but this hotel should be honored and enjoyed by others. We cannot wait to return again!"

"We took the cooking class in this hotel and wish we would have stayed there for our trip. This place was one of the highlights of our trip to the Algarve. The owner is passionate about sustainable farming. She's actively expanding the farm that has been in her family, now, for three generations. It was a small number of students, five. She taught us traditional Portuguese recipes, including fresh seafood cataplanos. At the end of the class, we ate with our new friends on a beautiful terrace next to her bed & breakfast. All of our dinner companions, guests at the B&B, raved about their stay there. "

The varied breakfast with live piano music was very pleasant and enhanced the meal. A minor drawback was a problem with the hot water one morning, and the room doors are heavy and noisy, which can be bothersome early in the morning. However, these issues didn't detract from the overall positive impression."

"We stayed in a private house within the hotel complex. We had the right to use the pool and the river crossing, but not the main restaurant. There are two pools. The water is immaculately clean, however the sun beds are crammed together.. although we always managed to find a bit of space ( would be horrific in high season) The beach is only accessed by a boat crossing. It runs every few minutes. The beach is stunning but can get crowded. There is also nothing there, so take everything you need for the day. The pool bar is good, it only serves breakfast. The pool restaurant is OK. Basic small menu, but OK. Overall, if you get a cheap deal, this is OK. I would not want to stay here if it was not a 'deal'"
