"We visited the Halfway House while staying in the area on 2 occasions and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The level of service was great, the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. This was matched by the food, which again was excellent. The presentation was a feast, as the saying goes, you eat with your eyes and the view certainly doesn't disappoint. Would quite happily visit again if we're in the area, would thoroughly recommend, never judge a book by it's cover as you need to enter to sample the delights. "

"Great staff and great accommodation. High tide kept me in but I was very glad. Wonderful place right on the water. High tide came right up to the door but in fact it was a great experience Great staff and I’ve found my new favourite place when I’m in the area Highly recommended"

"We stopped off here on the off chance of a drink and snack being after 2pm. Very cosy feel to this lovely pub. Landlady was very welcoming as were the customers at the bar. Kitchen was just closing but very happy to cook our snack. 8oz Steak medium rare sandwich and fries which was delicious. My better half had fully loaded fries and totally enjoyed. This lovely pub has a bar area and a restaurant area and outside garden. We need to go back as we wish to try there pies. So nice to chat to the owners a very welcoming local pub. Keep the good work up."

"My first visit, with family to this off the beaten track pub, situated down a narrow country lane, on the Cornwall side, overlooking the river Tamar. Pre booked a table for Sunday roast. We tried the slow cooked beef brisket and the roast pork loin. A lovely welcome from the staff and superb service. A good selection from the bar. Try the Cornish stout. Dinner was wonderful, tasty, hot and plentiful. The atmosphere had a good buzz of people enjoying themselves. Very reasonably priced & excellent value for money. Highly recommended."
