"The price of the Hilton Urumqi isn't low, but the facilities are a bit dated. Specifically, the hairdryer could be upgraded; the old model has terrible airflow, it takes ages to dry my hair, and I had to wait for it to air dry before I could sleep. For a room that costs around 1500 a night, there's definitely room for improvement in many areas. The mattress wasn't very comfortable either. Parking at the entrance was quite convenient, and the hotel lobby looks grand and stylish. Breakfast was also good with a wide variety of options. I'd suggest improving the small details."

The only downside was some water pooling in the bathroom due to poor drainage."

"This hotel truly exceeded my expectations! First off, the location is absolutely fantastic – super close to the high-speed train station, just a few minutes by taxi. It's nestled in an authentic local neighborhood, with popular old-brand eateries and night markets right downstairs. You get a real feel for local life without any of the noise, making both getting around and finding food incredibly convenient. The room itself was another pleasant surprise. At night, pulling back the curtains reveals a dazzling city skyline; the high-floor view is completely unobstructed. Lying in bed and watching the city lights felt incredibly therapeutic. But the real star was Butler Xiao Huang! From confirming my itinerary before check-in to a warm farewell at checkout, she was incredibly responsive, gentle, and meticulous throughout. Seeing I had a child, she proactively brought kids' slippers. When I casually mentioned being thirsty, she quietly prepared warm honey water. Late at night, she even thoughtfully sent over a guide to local late-night snacks, and every restaurant she recommended was a winner. She even marked down the best times to visit attractions to avoid crowds. This kind of 'subtle yet pervasive' care resonated with me much more than the standardized service at a five-star hotel. Even though it was just a one-night stay, I felt looked after as if I were in my own home."

Was told by the staff that I could only come back later to try for a different room. When I got back, I still received a room that smelled of cigarette smoke. While the photos show a window, it just a fake one, leading to what looks like a fire escape. Only complaint regarding the window was that it lead to poor ventilation. So my room smelt of cigarette smoke for days."

"The Executive Room is larger than the King Room and includes two afternoon teas and light meals, making it quite a good value for money. The light meal on the first day even had shrimp, which was a pleasant surprise for an inland city. The hotel itself is very grand, and parking is super convenient with plenty of spaces and easy access. I really liked the room design, where the shower room is placed in the middle, providing privacy and also blocking out the air conditioning noise.
