"I highly, highly recommend this beautiful property! We had the most relaxing time here! The breathtaking views of the vineyards, the taste of the homemade wine, the food, the location, the pool, the super friendly staff, everything is 10/10! It’s the perfect oasis of calm and beauty. "We have visited many hotels in Portugal, without a doubt this one is among the best!!! We stayed in the Junior suite, and we were very surprised from start to finish, the attention given at reception with a tour of the facilities up to the room with help with luggage. Regarding the room, it is simply fantastic with luxurious decoration, a huge room, a generous balcony, a large jacuzzi, bathrobes, mini bar, large bed, biscuits and water as a gift. The outdoor pool has fantastic views over the hills, with a poolside bar. Not to mention that the hotel has a swing with a phenomenal view!!! Congratulations to the management for providing us with this experience."

📍 Avenida da Câmara, 22, Vila Verde

"Having discovered this wonderful hotel in March, we have now just completed our fourth stay. True luxury but with a genuine warmth of hospitality. From the check in and welcome glass of champagne to the exquisitely designed bedrooms and exceptional service, this hotel has never failed to deliver. Larissa, who has greeted us for nearly every stay is simply wonderful. The outdoor pool is beautiful and the service of towels and drinks is first class. The bar and restaurant deliver fabulous food and drinks. Breakfast is a delight. Fully served at your table and excellent quality. Francisco and his team are efficient and provide fantastic service. We thoroughly enjoyed the champagne wine dinner and look forward to other similar events. Maison Albar Amoure has fast become our favourite hotel, we look forward to our next stay."

Terra Rosa Country House & Vineyards ★★★★
"We booked as it called its self a tranquil retreat . It said “calm quiet and peaceful in the countryside”. Which when we arrived was all of the above . After an hour by the pool ( a few other couples dotted about) Then arrived the small badly behaved children. The hotel is to small to accommodate both type of holiday . You either say a family/ child friendly or you say quiet retreat both cannot work in this small beautiful space . There are only 7 rooms . I CANNOT fault the staff the management, the food or the stunning interiors. But our short trip was ruined by 3 family’s that had no control of their children and no awareness of how much noise they made . The hotel staff politely said they blamed the parents not the children and were so sorry but they could do nothing , which we got . I felt sorry for the lovely staff. Terra Rosa needs to decide whether it is a family kids hotel or a tranquil peaceful retreat. It cannot be both ."

"A truly lovely hotel, big spacious rooms with a large private terrace. Excellent restaurants, one for a light lunch and a real high end dining place, with lovely views over the vineyard. Not often had the pleasure of having real good food at a hotel!"

Hotel Cotto do Gatto ★★★★
"If you are looking for the comfort of home away from home this is the place for you. I haven't had that many experiences in my life but I can tell you this is a once in a blue moon location. The hotel itself is jaw dropping beautiful. The staff are the kindest, humblest people i've ever met. The Idea itself of the place is absolutely genius and well executed. I am very particular about a few things due to having some impairments but one thing I value the most is the pet friendly policy. I looked and looked through a LOT of so called pet friendly but at the mention of 3 cats I was always shut down. Not here. They LOVE your pets and just animals in general. There is a kennel in the premises where they house a few animals from the region they choose to care for as their own. The place is beautiful and quiet. Your pets are treated as royalty and like they are part of the family, in fact, you yourself will be treated like family. We spend over a week there and it was honestly the best week i've had in a while. We left overjoyed with our stay and will be counting the days until we come back. With my whole heart I thank you Hotel Cotto do Gatto, you are now something to look forward to every year."

Amoure Hotel - The Leading Hotels of the World ★★★★
"We have stayed at Maison Albar - Amoure three times in this its opening 12 months and it doesn't feel enough. It's boldly and beautifully designed and laid out. The gardens are delightful, punctuated with contemporary artworks. The pool is long and complemented again with great landscaping and artworks. Every member of staff is superb. The check-in is one of the best check-experiences we've had, making one feel special as soon as you step out of your car. The rooms are comfortable, modern with great beds, luxurious bathrooms and fascinated views over the gardens to the surrounding countryside. On our first stay, we ended up ordering room service because we didnt want to leave the room. That said, in the subsequent stays we have eaten in the restaurant and in the bar - both menus are excellent. The breakfast deserves special mention, as does the waiter service. We have just booked our fourth stay later this month and are looking ahead to when we can fit in the fifth and sixth!"
