"The location is fantastic, right next to the train station. It was so convenient to check in within a three or four-minute walk after getting off the train, especially with luggage. However, there's no elevator. Public transport is right outside, making it super easy to get to all the towns and attractions in the lake district. Breakfast was excellent and clearly prepared with great care. The staff were very welcoming and always attentive to our needs. The hotel was very clean."

"The stay experience was beyond my expectation. The room was not big, but it was comfortable and clean. The most surprising thing was the English breakfast set provided on the second day. I could quietly bask in the sun in front of the floor-to-ceiling window and slowly enjoy the English breakfast tea. It felt like time slowed down."

"The hotel is located in a prime location overlooking the lake, the service was friendly and professional, the room was clean and comfortable, that shower was excellent if a little small, I ordered poached eggs which were done to perfection, the rest of the breakfast was buffet style which was OK. I would recommend this hotel for it's location, service and cleanliness. I think it needs a little tlc but our stay was very enjoyable"

"Just home from a lovely one night getaway staying at the beautiful Beaumont Boutique. Such a lovely warm welcome for us and such a beautiful room for my birthday treat. Wonderful location central for discovering all Windermere has to offer. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Bed so comfy I had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was also wonderful. Highly recommend as we had such a lovely stay. We would most definitely stay again."

The bedroom was wonderful, authentic but with full modern facilities and views from room 11 are exceptional. The food served in the restaurant was excellent with wide choice and high quality. The staff were all helpful and friendly. I can't really think of anything to be critical about."

"I was a little worried after reading the reviews, but everything was fine after checking in. The room was large, the hot water was good, and the location was very convenient. The only shortcoming was that there was no information from the hotel before arriving, which was puzzling. I had to actively find a way to contact the store to inform me. It would be perfect if this could be improved. However, this price is considered cheap here, so there is no need to worry about no one booking. Hi!"

"Me and wife had a opportunity to have a night away after having child free and no work commitments for the weekend so we decided to have a last minute night away in the lake district. Applegarth has always been on a must visit of mine for a while being on a must stay list for the past few years with there reviews they have had and I must say we were not disappointed! We booked a 1 night last minute stay in Luxury Room 17. We had arranged a early check in, late check out through there website which I would highly recommend. We arrived to be greeted by Suzanne with a warm welcome. The hotel is a truly family run hotel and you are greeted like family friend which is a lovely touch. She explained where are room was and any questions or recommendations she was happy to advise, she also invited us to dine in the onsite restaurant but was not pushy with the invite either. Once we got to are room we were really impressed spotless and well thought out with local complementary products (tea, coffee, toiletries and chocolate). The room sports a super king bed which provided one of the best night sleep I've had as I don't sleep very well in hotels but no complaints with this one. The bathroom has a waterfall shower above the double spar bath which made good use of a narrow bathroom layout. We will be rebooking once we get a childfree/work free weekend planned but will be stay for longer as we really enjoyed our stay!!"

"There were only 2 bottles of water in the room, and they were not replenished after the three nights I stayed. The classic big bed, the room was very small, there was no place to open the suitcase, and there was a fire drill at 1am in the middle of the night, which scared me half to death. This hotel is suitable for self-driving, on the hillside, 20 minutes walk to the lake, and about 20 minutes walk to the town center."
