"Ever since this hotel has been built I have wanted to stay there. It was supposed to be one of the top hotels in Wuxi. As I have been travelling to Wuxi for over 26 years I decided to treat myself. What a disappointment. The shower gel was empty, It was impossible to get a seat at breakfast and the breakfast room looked like a war zone. It took me 15 minutes to get a coffee due to the sheer size of the people wiating in line. On top of that the staff looked miserable. All in all, it's not worth the money and there are much cheaper and better options in my opinion. I definitely will not be staying again. One really good thing though, was the view from my room."

"Haven't been here in a year! Having adjusted my expectations based on previous stays, I actually found this visit quite good. If this were my first time, especially seeing 'luxury hotel' in the name, my expectations would be high and the actual experience might be disappointing. The mini-bar and complimentary water selection have been upgraded, giving it more of a luxury hotel feel. The quality of the steak at breakfast has also improved. The 'Jiangnan Feast' menu included in the package has been revised and is much better than before Chinese New Year, though the spare ribs are still very sweet. The butler team has also changed; the new staff are friendlier, and the service has significantly improved. Both floors have restrooms, but the one on the first floor was out of hand soap. 😳"

"Unexpected Culinary Delight at a Quiet Retreat! My friend and I visited Wuxi last week and specifically chose the Junlai Lakeside Hotel. I was initially looking for a quiet place away from the crowds, and it turned out to be incredibly worthwhile! The location is excellent, offering a peaceful escape right next to Liyuan Garden. You can enjoy the beautiful lake and mountain views without the throngs of people, making for a wonderfully relaxing stroll. But what truly surprised me was the food – it's an absolute foodie paradise! Let's start with breakfast. You can practically try all the Wuxi specialties in one place, like xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), wontons, tofu pudding, osmanthus taro, and gluten puffs. Everything was fresh and authentic. I ate it for two days straight and didn't want to stop; it saved me the hassle of queuing up in the city center. For dinner, we had the buffet, which happened to be Xiamen-themed. The seafood was very fresh, and the Xiamen specialties were plentiful and high-quality. The price was reasonable, offering great value for money! I highly recommend the afternoon tea at Yue Bar on the 9th floor – it's an absolute must-visit for photos! Located high up, the views are unparalleled. You get a panoramic vista of Liyuan Garden, and it's fantastic for taking pictures (my WeChat Moments exploded with likes!). The afternoon tea quality is excellent, with delicate pastries. Combined with the stunning scenery, it's perfect for a get-together with friends. My only minor regret is that the hotel has some age to it, so it's not the trendiest, but it's well-maintained, and the rooms are clean and tidy, which didn't detract from the overall experience. The convenient location made sightseeing easy, but the best part was definitely the food! The breakfast was super comprehensive, dinner was abundant, and the afternoon tea was both delicious and photogenic. Highly recommend for travelers who love good food and great photos!"

The service was prompt and responsive; our requests were generally met quickly. This is my top recommendation for families visiting a local guesthouse, and I personally think it's the best choice for accommodation in Wuxi."

Facilities: It's an renovation of old facilities; the sofa sags when you sit on it. Hygiene: They actually left disposable toothbrushes from previous guests, and didn't provide any new disposable toiletries. The breakfast is outsourced and terrible, with very few options and poor taste. It doesn't match the hotel's price. The experience was bad and I won't be staying here again."

From the moment I stepped in, the modern minimalist architecture immediately caught my eye. I chose the 'Huazhiya Mansion' king room, which was spacious and airy, with elegant yet cozy decor. The bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable, guaranteeing a good night's sleep. For our two-person package, we opted for dinner. The dishes were exquisite and flavorful, with a strong local touch. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, both Chinese and Western, and everything was incredibly fresh. The 'Yiduo Cloud Hot Spring Pavilion' deserves a special mention for its excellent privacy. Soaking in the hot springs and washing away all fatigue was simply a divine experience. The complimentary tickets to Yangshan Taohua Island Scenic Park were a great bonus. It was lovely to stroll around, admire the scenery, and soak in the pastoral charm. The staff's service was consistently outstanding throughout, from guiding us during check-in to recommending activities – truly attentive and thoughtful. This 699 yuan package offered incredible value for money, even including the minibar, a sweet nightcap soup, and a souvenir. It was truly romantic to stay here for Valentine's Day, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway! ✨"

"I chose Jinjiang Inn Wuxi because I saw it offered free breakfast and an EV charging station. The hotel's location is excellent; it's right across from Donglin Academy, and just one block away from the commercial area of Xiaolou Alley and Suning shopping mall, making it very convenient for getting around. However, the hotel's decor is a bit dated, and the rooms facing the street can be noisy at night, especially since there's a construction site across the road with night work that can disturb guests. This floor is also rented out to other businesses, and with only two elevators, the wait times for going up and down can be quite long. The hotel breakfast is very generous, mainly Chinese style. In winter, the hot food保温 isn't great, and some of the stir-fried dishes were a bit cold. The noodle station is self-service, and the staff seemed too busy to attend to it."

The front desk staff proactively arranged a complimentary parking space. The room's internet speed was stable, and there was a small desk, which made working during the trip very convenient. Plus, there's a self-service laundry room and drying facilities, which is perfect for longer stays. The hotel is a quiet oasis in a bustling location; despite being in the city center's commercial district, the rooms are quiet and peaceful. The toiletries were high quality. The public areas were clean and spacious, and the staff were responsive. The transportation is very convenient, with a direct subway line to the train station. "The room facilities are outdated. The air conditioning doesn't cool, it just blows air without actually chilling the room. The room was incredibly stuffy, and the windows wouldn't open – the handles were designed in a way that made it impossible. The room clearly hasn't had any ventilation for ages. The air quality was terrible. It was so hot and stuffy I couldn't sleep at all. I finally managed to fall asleep past 2 AM, and when I woke up in the morning, my throat felt scratchy, likely from dust in the air conditioning. I was so uncomfortable in the middle of the night that I seriously considered going to the lobby to sit there all night; it was that miserable! It's not even as good as a standard chain hotel."
