The rooms are very spacious and nicely decorated; a family of four in a twin room felt incredibly roomy. However, room cleaning needs improvement. I stayed for two nights, and on the morning of the second day, I specifically asked housekeeping to wipe the floor, but it wasn't done. When I returned in the afternoon, I specially asked the front desk to call housekeeping, and it was the same cleaner as in the morning. I again specifically asked her to wet-wipe the floor, but she just gave it a quick sweep and left. Other hotel services were very satisfying. They even provided free breakfast for the kids and offered taxi contact information when we couldn't find a ride at night. Overall, I'm very pleased. Wuyi has a great environment, less crowded, which was a nice escape from the usual hustle and bustle. I would definitely go back if I have the chance."

"I was curious how Wuyi Huatian Meidi Hotel, after three years in business, still manages to maintain a perfect score. The answer isn't its artificial landscapes, but rather its truly astonishing service. An 'insect expert' (a staff member) would ride around on a balance scooter, taking fantastic travel photos for us. But hey, since real life can't be Photoshopped, one can only focus on self-improvement and inner peace! We even got to see a rare insect valued at 200,000 RMB! The complimentary activities like go-karting, kayaking, horse riding, and archery were all sadly skipped due to the scorching 40-degree Celsius heat. I heard children had to be practically dragged away from the hotel because there were just so many exciting activities to try. The restaurant's own farm-raised fish was excellent, and the portion sizes were incredibly generous."
