"The room was surprisingly spacious, especially the double room I booked for my colleague. It had a large corner window with a view of the Taihang Mountains in the distance. The room was well-equipped, with an electric water dispenser providing purified water, which is rare in guesthouses. Towels and bath towels were disposable, but you can request regular ones. The lobby on the first floor offered complimentary milk tea, milk, and other drinks, and there was a refrigerator and microwave for food preparation. The owner even had a car wash machine and could wash your car for free, which was a first for me."

"Facilities: I'd say they're decent. The elevator is a nice touch, the AC gets quite cold, and the hot water is good too. Hygiene: The cleanliness is acceptable, quite good for a guesthouse, and they even provide disposable bath towels which is a thoughtful touch. Environment: It's located in the Anshang Service Area, which is the closest to Yuntai Mountain. You can walk to the Yuntai Mountain scenic area, which I highly recommend. There are tons of places to eat and shop. Service: The front desk guy was really enthusiastic and patient. He thoughtfully upgraded one of our rooms so our two rooms could be next to each other, which was a huge plus. It might not be the absolute best guesthouse, but I definitely think it's worth recommending for a stay."

"The guesthouse was newly renovated and located in the back. They said there was no gas supply, so breakfast wasn't provided. Not having breakfast wasn't cheap for the price. The room was small, and the bathroom was prone to overflowing water when showering. Even with a floor mat, water still flowed all over the floor. The floor was white tile, and it got very dirty after walking around in the water. I suggest they repair and fix it."

"The boss's B&B is located in the shore service area, which is very close to the scenic spots. "Travelling as a mandarin speaking foreigner. If you are able to converse in mandarin, want to stay near to Yuntai Mountain and still be relatively connected to other attractions like Baoquan scenic area, this is for you. Hotel was clean and spacious, it also has a water dispenser with different temperature settings. The hotel is pretty much a one-man show but the boss is extremely accommodating and helpful. He even offers to drive and pick up guests to/from nearby attractions like Yuntai and Baoquan, which is a game changer. Especially if you are worried about staying too far away from Yuntai, it's only a few minutes drive away from the hotel to the main parking lot at Yuntai. Simply give him a call or message on WeChat. The only down side is that the village in Sha Qiang Cun does not really have many options to eat, but there are quite a few restaurants down the street if you aren't picky. Otherwise, enjoyed my stay here and would recommend to foreign guests!"
