"Traveling through Ya'an on my western Sichuan trip, I chose to stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton. The hotel's facilities are brand new, and the overall design is simple yet elegant, with a very stylish lobby entrance that's great for photos. The location is convenient for getting around, and parking for self-drivers is easy. Front desk agent Yang Lu provided attentive and efficient service, and even kindly upgraded my room and helped me register for the hotel's loyalty program. The guest room was spacious and clean. With amenities like a swimming pool, it was a comfortable and relaxing stop to recharge during a long drive."

"I really loved the style of this hotel! The bed was incredibly soft and comfortable. The location is excellent, and parking is super convenient with a dedicated underground garage. It's especially handy for those on the G318 self-driving route. The breakfast had a good variety and was delicious, even offering freshly made noodles. The room itself was clean and tidy, and I appreciated the disposable towels and face cloths – very convenient. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and there's unlimited refills of freshly ground coffee. Downstairs, there's a snack street which is incredibly convenient for food – I tried several places and they were all great. It's also really close to Wanda Plaza and the high-speed rail station. But what I'd really recommend most are the disposable towels and face cloths in the room."

"I booked two rooms with my family for the weekend of the 22nd. The confirmation call the day before clearly stated we wanted to stay together, with a baby and an elderly person. We were assigned one on the second floor and the other on the fourth floor. There was no air conditioning in the lobby, hallway, or common areas. I think the lack of service at a new hotel is understandable; I'll just avoid it next time. The result was a truly disgusting experience. When we checked out, my child had forgotten a Jellycat Halloween pumpkin pillow (298 yuan from the counter) and had slept with it the night before, squeezing it under the comforter without checking it before leaving. It was still thick and large, and noticeable. I figured since it was a brand-managed hotel, I could just call and confirm and have it shipped to me, cash on delivery. Instead, I received a reply from Ctrip on behalf of the hotel, saying they hadn't seen the pillow. 298 yuan isn't a lot of money, but finding a guest's belongings and not turning them in or admitting it is just a shame. Is this the kind of behavior you'd expect from a hotel like this? Is it safe to leave personal belongings in a hotel like this? Is this the level of quality a brand-managed hotel offers? I still visit several brand-name resort hotels in Sichuan every year, as well as those outside the province. I've never had to worry about not being able to retrieve something I forgot to take. And from the beginning, it was Ctrip that handled the situation and gave me 60 yuan in compensation. Since Ctrip wasn't the cause of the incident, I didn't say anything, let alone the actual price of the pillow. Finally, I want to say that hotel management shouldn't let a single bad omission spoil the whole thing."
