"Although my most recent booking was only for one night, I actually lived at The Rangoon Hotel for more than a year and a half, so I experienced much more than a typical guest. What started as a hotel stay eventually became a safe and comfortable home away from home. One of the hotel's biggest strengths is its location. Situated in downtown Yangon, it offers easy access to many parts of the city and is located in a township where there is always something happening. Whether for work, daily errands, dining, or exploring the city, everything felt convenient and accessible. The rooms are comfortable, and depending on where you stay, the views can be excellent. Many rooms offer beautiful city views, while the river-facing rooms provide a different but equally enjoyable perspective of Yangon. The Pier Rooftop Bar is also a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery after a long day. What truly makes this hotel stand out is its people. Throughout my stay, the housekeeping team, security officers, maintenance staff, and front office personnel were consistently professional, friendly, and accommodating. Whenever I had concerns or requests, they always did their best to assist and ensure everything was handled properly. I had several requests granted, including room changes and special arrangements. The management was also very supportive and flexible, and I was fortunate to receive substantial discounts that made my long-term stay possible. This level of understanding and customer care is something I genuinely appreciated. Like anywhere else in Yangon, the Wi-Fi could occasionally be inconsistent, but overall it was reliable enough for daily use and comparable to what you would experience in many other places around the city. The hotel opened recently, and when I stayed there, it was still relatively affordable compared to many other options in Yangon. While prices have increased over time, that is understandable given the circumstances in the country and the continued improvements in service. In my opinion, the value remains excellent. The best compliment I can give is that I was always happy to come back after a long day. Returning to the hotel felt comforting, and it became a place where I could truly rest and feel at ease. I am incredibly grateful for my time here and consider myself lucky to have been part of the Rangoon Hotel community for so long. I will genuinely miss everyone, and I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future. Highly recommended."

"The room was cramped (though the size was specified), but clean. However, what I'd really like to see improved is their 'eco-friendly' concept of not providing bottled water. Instead, the hotel provides a pitcher for guests to fill up at a water dispenser. Personally, I'm not confident about the water production standards. How can I be sure the water system meets the required standards? Furthermore, the shape of the pitcher makes it quite difficult to clean. How can I be sure the pitcher is clean? (Personally, I never use the drinking glasses in hotels due to cleaning concerns; I once saw the same sponge used for both the toilet and the glasses)."
