I have been to Taipei many times, but this is my first time to Yilan. This time I will try to stay in a hot spring hotel in Jiaoxi for one night. Jingquan Hotel is about a 3-minute walk from Jiaoxi Station, and it only takes 10 minutes to get to Jiaoxi Transfer Station. There are convenience stores, Cosmed, and souvenir shops near the hotel. The hotel has a large bathing area, located on the top floor. It is boundless and you can enjoy the view of Jiaoxi while taking a bath. There are also fitness and yoga rooms. During Happy Hour, green tea, detox water, red and white wine🍷 and snacks are placed in the lobby for guests to enjoy. We booked an elegant king bed room. The room is so big. There is a wardrobe as soon as you enter. There is a cabinet next to it for a refrigerator, a water pot, a Japanese teapot, and tea cups. Tea bags, coffee bags, Pocari, Coke, and facial masks in the refrigerator are all given to guests for free. The double bed is so big that 3 people can sleep in it. There is a sofa next to the bed, which is big enough for one person to sleep on. Full of space and so comfortable. There is a water tank on the terrace of this room type, where you can take a bath🛁. There are some bamboos and a Japanese lamp next to it. Wearing the yukata and Japanese flip-flops provided by the hotel🩴, you can have a pseudo-Japanese trip. The toilet board is plugged in. It's warm and comfortable to sit on. The hotel provides guests with toothbrushes🪥, earplugs, soap🧼, makeup sponges, rubber bands, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and moisturizer. If you need a shower cap or razor, you can get them at the front desk. The room rate includes breakfast for 2 people, which can be enjoyed at the Japanese restaurant Sanya in the hotel. Room 1104 The Hotel location is great with plenty of local eateries within a stone throw away. On check in we got upgraded (which I didn’t know until the day of check out !). Room was quite modern and spacious with a relatively big bathroom and hot spring tub, and most importantly clean! Notably this was a 4 star rated hotel , but it was one of the first time that I was escorted up to my room by the front desk staff who kindly introduced us to the amenities services the hotel offered. I had my 18months year old toddler with me , so was restricted with venturing many of the things nearby . Hopefully, my wife and I took turns in using the communal hot spring pools which was small area , but spacious and clean . In the men section there is a small balcony with some plants hiding my modesty after a few minutes hot sauna and pool plunges . Breakfast was a choice of set menus with a small semi buffet choice which was sufficient. Restaurant was located on the top floor which a nice pleasant view of the surroundings but can imagine sunset time must be amazing . The restaurant staff were attentive and polite considering my little devil running around , but all the staff from front desk , cleaners, communal spa etc were super polite and helpful towards my family and baby . For the price we paid I think it’s as good as you can get in for a short drive from Taipei City for a strong 4 star hot spring with almost 5 star services and hospitality . If this hotel had a swimming pool and their hot spring water was little heavy with the sulphur it would’ve been perfect. However , we would definitely recommend this place and we will definitely be back next month ! This place has become one of my favourite hot spring places already and we’ve been to many around Taiwan . I generally prefer boutique hotels as I feel they pay more attention to details on ways of design and products used. My baby got on with all the staff there and she’s picky ! Apologises for my baby plucking all the tissues out of the box :( Thumbs up ☺️

Went for the 5th time! The service attitude is really good, and the children are all designated to go! Very child friendly! The breakfast buffet was originally scheduled for 11:30, but the kids woke up at 9:30 and started crying hungry! Quickly pack up and check out to dine, because the original reservation was for 11:30, but the time was changed to go early. The receptionist at Evergreen was very helpful❤️ in making arrangements. He told us that because it was not the original time slot, we would need to wait a moment, and they would arrange it for you immediately! You can have your meal immediately after waiting for 5 minutes in the waiting area, which is really satisfying! I remember that the receptionist was still a beautiful mother (with a belly of at least 5 months!) - The check-out and room card counter also provided friendly service. After check-out, you can continue to use leisure facilities, such as hot springs, SPA, switch, etc.⋯ ~Parents of 3 babies, thank you Evergreen Jiaoxi😄

We booked a Japanese Superior Room for one adult, one teenage and a child. The room is way too small. There isn’t a place to put our luggages. The luggage rack adjust beside the door is not usable because if you put even a cabin luggage on the rack, you won’t be able to open the door. There is also no extra room to move around in the hotel room. Other than the room size, all other things are fine. Service is good and breakfast is very good too! The location is very convenient as it is just a 10-15 mins walk from the train station. There are convenient stall just a few mins away and there are many options for restaurant and street food nearby.

We stay at this hotel regularly because it’s peaceful, clean and the hot spring is a strong sulphur type . They kindly upgraded us on check in . Dinner was so so, as not much choice , but breakfast was pretty good in terms of choice . We requested a late check out because our infant naps between 11am and 12pm which they kindly gave us. However, they called us up in the room during this time , when we specifically said our infant was sleeping and woke her up . I ended up with a good stay but a grumpy baby ! We stayed in room 811 which had two good size double beds which was great with a little one . However will stay come again !

The 經典套房 was of a really odd design — toilet is separated by glass and very see through all the way to the bidet. Probably too little privacy, even for couples. Hotel was also unable to accommodate us for breakfast as we checked in around 6.30pm — it was only a 11am seating (after check out) or opt for a cold bento set to be consumed in-room. It is very close to Jiaoxi transfer station and has convenient transportation. There is a coffee machine in the room, but I don't drink coffee. There is a 24-hour free supply of cookies and drinks on the first floor. There are 2 paddling pools on the top floor. The shallow area is not large and there are large stalls around it. It's a bit disappointing to watch. There are small crumbs on the floor of the room, there are some hairs on the decorative cloth ***** on the bed that I don't know what to call, and there is moss on the balcony floor. Cleaning needs to be improved. The breakfast environment is good, but the taste of the food is bland, and the quality and selection are slightly worse than those of the same level.

Was upgraded to a bigger room with 2 double beds and with better view which was a plus! Free parking available and location was central for us to go to the different locations we planned to. Staff was friendly and kindly explained that they were an eco hotel and did not provide any disposable toiletries.

A very self-service hostel. Immediately upon booking, the staff in charge actually called me to confirm my booking! :O So 1st impression of the ”hotel” was very good. Upon reaching, we realised it is more of a hostel than hotel. Even the main entrance is guarded by a smart phone - basically you ring to speak to someone and she/he will unlock the door for you remotely. As it was only late morning, we left our luggages at the unattended lobby and left to continue our itinerary. Fortunately when we returned later the day, there was a staff at the counter. She briefed us on the breakfast coupons (McD, apparently it's common for almost all the hostels without in-house kitchen in Yilan to do that) and handed us the room key. While the room is quite big, the arrangement made it slightly hard to open and sort luggages. Hairdryer, phone chargers, cotton buds, hair bands are freely available at the lobby area too - self-service. Extra: There is a huge teddy at the lobby area. My toddler loved it! (Thou in my opinion, it should be quite dirty. LOL)

1. The booking form stated that the check-in time is 15:00 and check-out time is 12:00. However, the on-site time changed to 16:00-11:00. I only found out when I called at 10:50. After communication, we were extended to 11:30. 2. I showed my ID when I checked in my luggage in advance (I only had the health insurance card on me), and the luggage was deposited smoothly. When I came back to pick up the room card in the evening, it looked like I had never been here (different service staff). They said that the health insurance card was not valid and that I needed other documents. After showing the electronic ID card and signing the closing form, I was allowed to check in. The handover and check-in rules were unclear. 3. Book a city view room. The photo shows floor-to-ceiling windows. When entering the room, two large curtains are opened and there is only one escape window. The curtains are just for decoration, but the clean interior is still worthy of encouragement. 4. There is coffee and tea for self-service in the lobby.

I recently stayed at the Maple House on a two-day getaway in Yilan County with my girlfriend. Service was genuinely caring – the breakfast boxes made available to the guests were nice simple comfy food. The room was good, clean and the WiFi & other features worked well. There are some nice touches such as little cups made-available in the morning to guests for them to feed the pretty fishes in the pond. The garden is well maintained, and the hotel is located nearby rice fields; there is lots of green around! Location is convenient – walking distance to the LuoDong train station (even if the walk by the main road is a bit dangerous without a proper sidewalk.) The property has bikes available for guests and the ride to the beach is about 30min. through very nice bike paths by the river. Highly recommended. Really a lovely destination!
