"I stayed in the Zhuangyuanlou wing which is on a higher ground of the village. The view there is absolutely fabulous as it overlooked the village and the mountains, exactly as depicted in the property photos. The host was very friendly and helpful. The place is located inside the village and you have to buy the entry ticket, but it was very cheap. It will be difficult to locate the place within the village; it is better if you ask the security guard at the entrance to call the owner of Caiyuanli to fetch you. The room is well designed with a zen vibe, very apt for such a tranquil scenic village. The in-room amenities are modern and new. I would definitely stay here if I visit the village again."

The karaoke bar next door is noisy until around 2 AM, and the elevator is under construction during the day, so you can't get a proper rest during the day or a good night's sleep. "Upon arrival at the hotel, they said there was a problem with the toilet and we were moved to a different room. However, the toilet also malfunctioned after only two uses. The room was basic and didn't have a TV, but that wasn't the main issue. The breakfast was the problem. Several hotels we stayed at had buffet breakfasts, and even with two children, they were fine. This hotel's breakfast was a joint venture. We asked if the two tickets were enough for the children, and they said they could register and we could take them, but they wouldn't give us two extra tickets. We only got two tickets, so we let the children eat, and we had to eat out ourselves. That's one thing, but the main problem was that the children's set meals were pitifully small, barely enough to fill their teeth! 😂 I'd rather spend a few extra dollars to stay at a hotel with a buffet breakfast; there's more variety and we're full. 🤣"
