"Such a wonderful, peaceful stay, with the most friendly and helpful English speaking hosts! Kindhearted owner Liuting (Eva) cooked us very tasty vegetarian meals, and her partner Dima gave us some lovely travel recommendations in the region. Liutings brother and sister were also very sweet. Nuodeng is the perfect combination of nature (nice walks in and around the village) and culture (old temples, beautiful old houses and stairs- it's smart to bring a backpack instead of suitcase). Also very suitable to work away from home for a few days: strong wifi and plenty of little work spaces up and downstairs in the property, with the most beautiful views over the valley. The cute animal companions made our stay complete: I loved the cat cuddles, and dog Xiaohua even joined us on multiple walks. On our departure day, Liuting helped us so much with organising a shared taxi too. And on top of everything: the food and stay was so affordable, great value for money. We hope to come back one day!"

"Friendly reminder: the guesthouse is located halfway up a mountain, about a 20-minute climb up the steps, and it's 2,000 meters from the beach. If you have luggage, it might be a challenge! The owner's service is decent."

"The hotel is very new, in good sanitary condition, and the price is at the level of a fast chain hotel. The surrounding environment is a bit messy and it is a bit far from the central city. Two things to complain about, the breakfast was terrible, the breakfast time ended at 9:30, and before 9 o'clock there was nothing to eat except a bowl of rice noodles in clear soup, and the waiter said you were late, everyone else had eaten. This is the management level of Home Inn. It would be better to provide them by portion instead of self-service. There was no hot water to wash my face in the morning. The breakfast area is a semi-outdoor bar, which is beautiful and stunning. During this trip to Yunnan, I booked a lot of hotels on Ctrip, but this is the only one with a bad review."

"I stayed at Jianshan for two nights. It started raining as soon as I checked in and the sun didn't come out until I checked out – it felt like they wanted me to relax in my room for two days, haha. Let me share my experience, focusing on my most important factors: environment and service. 1. Environment: 4.5 stars. I chose Jianshan, which has a terrace with a view from my bed. I've attached several pictures below; it's simply beautiful. The only downside was a lot of bugs, but given the mountain location, that's unavoidable. 2. Service: 5 stars. The butler service was excellent; everything was arranged perfectly. All three meals were taken care of at the guesthouse. If you're visiting Nuodeng, I highly recommend this place."
