"A very nice and cozy hotel, a 5-minute walk from the port. The owner is incredibly welcoming and ready to help with any questions. The room itself is spacious and has everything you need. One day, breakfast was Japanese-style, which was very unusual and interesting for me. There's a cooler with hot and cold water in the lobby. You can get to the beaches from the hotel by shuttle or rent a bike. I really enjoyed my stay!"

Hanamuro Inn AKA Island ★★

"Friendly staff. This place is for the younger traveller. The rooms are small and right next to each other; the showers are shared and next to the tiny kitchen but the communal area is nice and it makes for easy interaction with other stayers/travellers. This is a small island so there is not much choice but that you have to accept along with the beauty of the island. Eating establishments are very limited and so I used the single shop and what they had on the day. The snorkeling diving is fantastic. I am glad they made this area a marine reserve as it shows with the whales visible from the island lookouts and the huge variety of colourful fish as many or more than other places I have dived in. Maldives, Galagapos, Fiji, Great Barrier Reef, etc."

"Great location and heart-warming welcome by the hosts. Common kitchen includes everything you need. The room has a great working air condition system and enough space for luggage and your belongings. The hosts were so friendly to drive us even to our next accommodation as there was heavy rain."

"We waited until the day before to book, making sure the weather would be good. No free cancellation options were available. We went to the ferry ticket office to get the ticets to the island where the hotel is and the the ticket sales agent warned us against going since there were reports of high swells that would most likely cancel the ferry for the next few days and we would miss our flight. He would know, its his job! so we decided against going. We explained it to the hotel, even with proof from weather reports about the swells. They refused to refund our stay. the next day I provided more proof with the website of the ferry showing that indeed, it had been cancelled. Still the hotel refused to do any kind of compensation - not even an offer to change the date or slight discount on future bookings, a way for us both to gain from the uncontrollable situation. Trip.com agents tried hard to help. I know they don't control the weather, and the booking did not have free cancellation. So by all rights they dont have to refund me. They don't. I just thought they would be understanding and show some kind of service attitude or polite and professional communication that would make me want to stay there in future. Just a bit of human empathy that I still believe in. Oh well, they got their money for nothing, and I learnt a lesson."

"The hostess is very welcoming, positive, and pleasant. She cooks delicious food, and prepares it beautifully. The room is clean and pleasant. The mattresses are extremely comfortable; it was a wonderful night's sleep. The toilet and shower are separate, but clean. Snorkeling equipment, towels and beach blankets, and a refrigerator are provided. A wonderful place to stay in Zamami."
