"They provided two complimentary tickets for the Guizhou Jiuxian Scenic Area cave tour. This place is definitely more suitable for self-driving as taxis won't go there because drivers know they'll have to return empty. Unless you're willing to pay nearly 300 RMB for a chartered car, you'll be stuck. The hygiene is good, and the surroundings are beautiful. The only downside is that restaurants and convenience stores are about a kilometer away, almost reaching the Huangguoshu Scenic Area. The shuttle bus only starts at 11 AM, apparently due to morning traffic control, which begins at 9 AM. If you want to get to the scenic area earlier, you'll need to take a taxi. The breakfast selection is quite rich, the laundry room is convenient, and the staff are very friendly."

"The hotel service was excellent, no doubt about it. The staff helped with our luggage and provided shuttle service from the attractions – very satisfactory. However, the cleanliness was terrible. There seemed to be no maintenance, or the cleaning staff wasn't thorough enough. There was a lot of hair behind the exam area. We booked a family suite for 900 yuan, which didn't seem worth it, mainly because of the poor hygiene. The toilet door was even installed backwards; when we opened it, we bumped into the toilet. I sincerely hope the owner can improve management and pay attention to details to build a good reputation."

"At the beginning of the month, my travel companion, “Peking Duck” (my child), and I explored four small cities in Guizhou – Guiyang, Anshun, Bijie, and Xingyi. We thoroughly experienced the karst landscapes, caves, waterfalls, and pastoral scenery, all in a comfortably cool climate. Here's a comprehensive guide to share with everyone! ⭕️ Guizhou Geological Museum (reservations required, closed on Mondays, last admission at 4 PM): You can book a guided tour with fossil restoration activities, which is very interesting. ⭕️ Qingyun Market: A great place to eat and explore (definitely try Guiyang's Sour Soup Hotpot – the flavor is unique compared to other regions). ⭕️ Yelang Valley (watch Nuo opera, two shows daily: 12:00-12:30 PM and 3:00-3:30 PM. Kids who enjoy crafts can try plant carving). ⭕️ I personally don't recommend Zhijin Cave for families with young children or the elderly! However, Zhijin Grand Canyon is highly recommended. Enter via the elevator, and the entire route is a downhill walk, making it very lazy-friendly. The scenic beauty is truly impressive and worth a visit! ⭕️ Guizhou Guanling National Fossil Group Geological Park (the fossil digging area is open, but the museum area will open in late July). ⭕️ Huangguoshu Waterfall (‼️ Water Curtain Cave requires reservations and raincoats are a must!). For a lazy-friendly approach: take the round-trip elevator and capture a panoramic shot from above. If you're not up for a lot of walking, you can skip Tianxing Bridge; seeing the main waterfall is breathtaking enough! And a shout-out to the park staff – every restroom is spotless, some even have toilet seat covers! ⭕️ Fenglin Buyi (consider going in the evening when the lights are on – the scenery is even more beautiful. You can experience Buyi culture, songs and dances, iron flower performances, and other unique shows. There are many fun NPC mini-games in the scenic area. Watching the iron flower show from a boat offers a more direct and spectacular view). ⭕️ Kids will absolutely love a full day at Wanfenglin! Fishing, mini-train rides, woodworking, tie-dyeing, fruit picking, making Ciba (sticky rice cakes), and so much more – they'll never want to leave! When they get tired, relaxing at a popular cafe is pure bliss! ⭕️ Maling River Canyon (known as 'the most beautiful scar on Earth.' The scenic area closes at 5:30 PM. For an aerial view, navigate to 'Maling River Canyon Parking Lot 2'). Tips: ‼️ Guizhou attractions can be physically demanding. If you're traveling with children and have limited stamina, opt for lazy-friendly routes. ‼️ Mornings and evenings are cool, but it can be quite sunny during other times, so bring plenty of sunscreen and mosquito repellent. ‼️ Some attractions require advance reservations, so plan your itinerary accordingly! ‼️ Bring raincoats for Maling River and Huangguoshu, and wear non-slip shoes. ‼️ For Zhijin Cave, avoid wearing long pants or white shoes as it can get muddy! The cave temperature is around 10 degrees Celsius, so bring a jacket. Among the hotels we stayed at, 'Peking Duck' loved the Huangguoshu Kaiyuan Manju Hotel the most. It offers many parent-child activities, new facilities, and delicious dining! We enjoyed a cool summer with temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius throughout our trip, without any high-intensity rushing. We experienced city life, majestic gorges and waterfalls, underground marvels, pastoral peak forests, and ethnic minority customs all at once. The best classroom is always on the road; what you see with your own eyes is far more memorable than what you read in books. It’s time to get out there with the kids!"

It was inconvenient to take my child to the Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area, so the owner arranged for a car to pick us up and drop us off. After returning to the scenic area, we didn't want to go back to the hotel to retrieve our luggage, so after discussing it with the hotel front desk, a hotel staff member personally drove it to us. The service was truly excellent."

"I forgot some clothes in the closet when checking out and immediately called housekeeping to check, but they said they didn't see anything. I'm a bit speechless. The hygiene was just okay; the carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. The pillowcases were visibly dirty. I wouldn't have put up with it if it weren't for the need to enter the scenic area early the next morning and the huge crowds."

The breakfast and dinner were delicious, and there were welcome fruits and good night desserts. There were free snacks and drinks in the room, which was great! I had a lot of fun at the bonfire party in the evening. The overall experience was very good!"

"The room on the first floor was damp, and the air conditioning felt cold and humid. The hotel is brand new, having just opened, and offers charging stations. Breakfast was quite average; they didn't even have basic cappuccino. However, the hotel staff's service awareness is excellent. A major plus is their shuttle service to scenic spots; today, Master Rao's pick-up and drop-off service was exceptionally warm and friendly, big thanks to him! The hotel's complimentary souvenir was very creative, showing how progressive they are. Hope to get my favorite coffee next time. Keep up the good work!"

Come to Huangguoshu for a trip, see the guide to recommend a hotel closer to the No. 1 or No. 2 ticket center. I chose the No. 1 ticket center near, because the ticket center is large, there are many cars, and there are also buses to Anshun West and other classic bus stations here. Downstairs, there's a food street, making it easy to grab a meal even when dining alone. It's not far from the scenic area, and the hotel offers a free shuttle service, so transportation is a breeze. 🛋️ Facilities: Opened in 2025, all the facilities are clearly brand new. The rooms are 25-35 square meters, more than enough space for one person. The mattress is just right – not too soft, not too hard – ensuring a great night's sleep. They have smart toilets, free WiFi, and all the essential amenities you'd expect. 💁 Service: The front desk staff were very professional and handled my check-in quickly. They proactively asked if I needed shuttle service and even helped me plan my sightseeing route for the next day. When checking out, I could store my luggage, which was very convenient for picking up after my explorations. 🧹 Hygiene: I have to commend them on this. The room was spotless, the bathroom had no strange odors, and the towels were clean. It made me feel completely at ease staying there alone. If you're traveling solo to Huangguoshu, this place is definitely worth considering."
