Say goodbye to city light pollution; this is a hidden gem where you can truly see the Milky Way with the naked eye. The hotel provides dedicated off-road vehicles for transfer deep into the desert. Driving through the dunes sets an incredible atmosphere. The space capsule-style buildings are stunning, and when the light strips illuminate at night, they blend perfectly with the desert, making for amazing photos. We booked a panoramic stargazing room, where an entire glass wall frames the vast sand sea. In the evening, you can lie on the bed and watch the orange sunset sink into the dunes. Later at night, open the electric skylight, and a blanket of stars appears overhead, making even your breathing quiet and serene. Initially, I was worried about the desert accommodation conditions, but it turns out my concerns were completely unfounded. There's 24-hour hot water, powerful air conditioning, stable Wi-Fi, and a separate wet and dry bathroom – everything you need. The hygiene is meticulously maintained, and the sleeping experience is on par with city hotels. You absolutely must join the hotel's free stargazing activity! The leader will guide you with star charts and laser pointers, explaining the locations of the Big Dipper and the Milky Way. They also patiently help every guest take stunning astrophotography, so even beginners can capture beautiful desert star photos. During the day, you can enjoy sandboarding, camel riding, and desert surfing. In the evening, have a candlelight dinner by the lake, and at night, watch bonfires and fireworks. The entire day's itinerary is relaxed yet fulfilling. The staff were attentive and thoughtful throughout our stay, responding quickly to any requests. The warm hospitality of the Northwest truly enhanced the experience. If you're planning an overnight stay in the Zhongwei desert, Shaliwa is definitely a choice that offers both great value and romance. It's already on my list for a second visit ✨."

"The hotel is in a good location, not far from the city and Zhongwei South Station. The room is quite spacious, and what's really great is that the twin room actually has two 1.5-meter beds. It's really comfortable to live with a baby. It has laundry facilities, which is convenient for washing clothes after going to Shapotou and being covered in sand. You have to wait for a while during the breakfast rush hour, but overall it's good. The parking lot at the entrance is huge."

The staff is warm and the check-in is efficient. The location is convenient for travel, parking is convenient, and it is very suitable to play Shapotou. "I genuinely recommend this downtown hotel. The location is superb, making it easy to get anywhere. The room amenities are a huge plus 🌻 – not only complete but also very new, showing they're well-maintained. The room was clean with no strange odors, and the space was larger than I expected. Both the mattress and pillows were very comfortable, and the hot water supply was stable. 🌻 The lighting was soft, creating a warm and relaxing atmosphere overall. I felt really relaxed after my stay, and I will definitely be booking again."

"Atour has always been a worry-free travel choice. From the tea served upon arrival and the warm guidance from receptionist Letong at check-in, they even provided a complimentary gift and fruit. They were always there when I needed supplies – their thoughtfulness was evident in every detail. The room was odorless and spotless, even the sink was meticulously wiped clean. The mattress was the perfect firmness, providing an excellent deep sleep. The toiletries were great, hot water came out instantly, and the bathroom experience was superb. The Bamboo House Bookstore offers free book borrowing, and returning books to other locations is incredibly convenient. The service was sincere and approachable, like a friendly gesture. The air conditioning was great, the facilities were complete and dry, and it was wonderfully quiet and healing away from the hustle and bustle. It was a fresh and fun experience. The owner was very thoughtful, preparing tea for us and setting up a hotpot. The hotpot tasted good! The lamb was delicious! If the weather is good at night, you can see the starry sky from inside the tent. Highly recommended."
