It’s a very charming place with a real wabi-sabi atmosphere - simple, quiet, and full of nostalgic beauty. Quite old-fashioned, but well maintained. This spot became popular on a Russian platform, so there are many tourists from Russia ( me as well) . When I visited the onsen, there were seven people in total - all Russian girls. Overall, it doesn’t stop you from having a great rest. However, it’s not really suitable for a honeymoon, as my husband and I were separated the whole time — there are no mixed onsens for men and women, probably because the place is now mostly visited by foreigners. When we checked out, they kindly drove us back to the station. I left with a complete sense of relaxation. Thank you!

When we arrived at the hotel, we were amazed by the location,it was the nearest hotel right infront of the sea around that area. Although the building is quite old ,we loved the location.When we entered our hotel room for 3 persons,we were amazed how big the room was and it was on the 8th floor.We loved it!!! The room was huge,the glass window is huge ,you can see the beautiful sunrise while drinking tea and you can hear the waves. It was very relaxing,my husband and our friend were very happy.We paid a very reasonable price for that amazing stay. I just have one thing that I disliked, “the smoking room” It was very dirty,smelly and garbage everywhere. 😢 But,all in all I would recommend it to my friends specially to those looking for reasonable price stay . Hotel CLAD offers an amazing stay with stunning views of Mount Fuji, especially from the rooms and onsen areas. Waking up to such a clear, unobstructed view was truly the highlight of the trip. The hotel is very reasonably priced for the view, quality, space, and experience you get, making it excellent value for money. The rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable, with large windows that really let you enjoy the scenery. The view from lobby is crazy beautiful. It’s also just next to Gotemba premium outlets! The private onsen is a big plus—perfect for relaxing in privacy while enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Overall, Hotel CLAD combines great views, comfort, and affordability, and is an excellent choice for a relaxing stay in Gotemba. Highly recommended. I would like to commend Rai for her help with my last minute bus booking to Shinjuku. She was super helpful and patient. Expect great customer service from their staff.

Excellent location, close to the train station and bus station, easy to travel, delicious food, various welcome drinks, clean room, accessible by elevator. The room does not have a view of Fuji, but can see Fuji all around the city.

Kira no Sato is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in Japan, period. I’ve never stayed in a traditional Japanese style hotel but it totally blew my mind. The gardens, onsen, guest rooms, restaurants…everything’s exquisite. It is like an onsen theme park. 5-star service the minute since you got on the hotel’s shuttle bus. There’s stairways leading up to my room. Hotel staff offered to help me on their own. The room is mainly made of wood but it is kept in excellent condition. The bed is large and soft. The food beats 90% of Japanese hotels I’ve stayed in.

Easily accessible,nearby bus station, suitable for those heading to Fuji climb. Staff were helpful, breakfast was basic but good & sufficient. Room is just nice for one person. Just a little inconvenient to use manual key to rooms.convenient with coin laundry in hotel.

This was a large but lovely hotel with a great view of the ocean. It was a bit of a drive from the train but they did have a shuttle and taxis were easily available. The room was spacious and clean. They had an onsen which was lovely. The Japanese women guests were helpful in my navigation of the use of the bath. Breakfast was very good. Dinner was fine but not very unique. We found a number of fun things to do around town.

Stayed here transiting between Tokyo and Nagoya. Made it a pit stop. While location less than ideal, hotel was fantastic and good price. My son loves the comic books available for loan while everything in the hotel was nice and new. Highly recommended for business travellers or travellers transiting.

Amazing hotel with daily morning Fuji View room. Location is up the mountain, 8 to 10mins drive away to gotemba premium outlet or free shuttle bus from hotel. On site onsen/hot bath is available in the hotel. Parking is free and breakfast need to reserve time slot to prevent overcrowding for good dining experience admiring Fuji ~

We had an amazing 1 night stay at Shizentenyu... i'm still dreaming about the view from our room and the restaurant... amazing!!! We didn't realize that our room included a full 7-course set dinner menu, which was one of the highlights from our trip! The service was impecable, food delicious, and a huge thank-you to Alfie who guided us through our set menu in English. We would have been very confused without him. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, the Onsen lovely, we appreciated the lounge with free coffee, tea, beer, and popsicles. We also braved the steep walk down to the private beach and went for a refreshing swim! We wish we could have stayed longer!
