The hotel location is perfect and it is just opposite to Yokohama CosmoWorld. Special thanks to Guest Experience Manager - Hong-Sun Synn, he helped us to exchange the room while we found our room had some noice which is caused by strong wind and made us cannot sleep. Mr. Synn came to our room and handle our case immediately, we appreciated to his care and handling.
Luckily this onsen hotel has a Family Mart right next to it. Everything there is clean. Onsen on 6/F is also very clean, loved it very much. The best part was to bring my family to the Yunessun swimming facility right across the road. Free entry if you get tickets from the hotel front desk.

Centralised located most Yokohama top attractions as can seen in pictures. When u need cleaning services, you need to temporary return the keys which is quite inconvenient.
We enjoyed the rather spacious room and the view of rolling hills. With large beds and a tatami room, it felt rather luxurious. The entire place has an 80s vibe, but good thing we liked the nostalgia it brought for us.
The room was quick clean too. Only that the outside balcony and windows had a few rather large spiders and spider webs. Good thing we don't have arachnophobia.
They have two locations for their onsens at different timings. So that needed some getting used to. The onsens themselves are decent enough.
Getting to the place was a little tricky as we didn't know what was the best bus to hop onto. We hopped onto the bus that Google Maps indicated was the most direct, only to realise as we were boarding that that bus was not covered under the Hakone Free Pass. On hindsight, to utilise the Hakone Free Pass, one should take the bus to Yunessen, the hotel next door and walk a short distance uphill.
For the price we thought it was quite worth it, especially compared to some of the other hotels nearby.
We had a lovely stay at Yokohama Bay Hotel—the location was fantastic, with beautiful views of the bay and easy access to nearby attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel does show some signs of age, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. The only minor downside was the gym, which was quite small and had limited equipment, along with unusual operating hours. That said, if you’re not relying on fitness facilities, this hotel is a great choice for a relaxing stay in Yokohama!
The location of the hotel is very good. It's facing the sea, and very near to the beach. Basically just need to cross the road to the beach. The room is clean, space is not big.
For my room, seems there was not a ventilation fan in the toilet or it was not working. There was a lot steam after taking a shower.
The car park is big and parking fee is 1000yen. A free spa is available for every guest. Everyone needs to pay spa tax at 150yen per head regardless using spa facilities located at 3 floor or not. A premium spa service is available at 4th floor with 1500yen charge.
The breakfast is at 3200yen.
Overall, in my opinion it's a bit pricey. I stayed in the hotel on 16 Mar 2024. It's still a bit cold, so I didn't have the spa even though paying the spa tax. It's a bit wasted. I wouldn't recommend this place for winter time.

First, I was very happy to get such big Japanese-style room. It has 2 big rooms and much space. You can easily lie there if there are 8 of you.
Hotel is kind of tired, but staff keeps it in a good condition.
Dinner is a set menu, not kanseki. But it still was good. I was full and happy. Breakfast is a buffet.
A bit about how to reach the hotel. There are shuttels from Hakone-Yumoto. It should cost 200 yen. They bring you to Okada hotel. But it's not your hotel. Stuff will give you a map and you need like 3 min to reach the right hotel.
There are several onsens. Open and closed. All were good, warm. With good view on mountains.
You can take yukata at the reception. And you need to make bed by yourself, but it's only cover mattress but sheet. Nothing difficult.

Hotel experience was mixed.
Positive: the hotel site has a lot of history, the Japanese garden was beautiful and the best part of the hotel. The included meals were good but not spectacular - yet the setting with a view of the Japanese garden was beautiful
Negative: the facility was dated with little catch up updares. Only one lock key can be provided n made my wife n my visit to the Onsen very inconvenient as we had to wait for each other all times. The outdoor access for men Onsen had to go thru a common area for men n women so need to re-clothe to get thru, not great. Facility for the Onsen bath were dated n worn out.
The in room lighting was dim n equipment facility visibly outdated.
The worst was I discovered a big size cockcroach in the bathroom when I got back from Onsen bath in the morning. Smashed it n picture enclosed.
We had high expectations coming in to the hotels with strong recommendations by Japanese friends. Was quite underwhelmed. I had stayed at other well rated Ryokans before n most have met or exceeded my expectation. This one fell far short of it.
Place was convenient to get to and around from. Like that it was not too close to a crowded area so it was peaceful and nice areas to walk around nearby.
Also really nice outdoor space to chill. (As seen in photo)
Room space was great and amenities well stocked. added plus to have airport limousine available opposite at royal park hotel.

MMazinglyOne of our favourite place in Japan, onsen directly on the balcony in your room. They provide with everything from kids slippers to any amenities you can think of they have it. We went to the water park just across the building. Eateries inside the restaurant & other just nearby. Suitable for family to stay in, my boys love this place. Free drinks & ice creams. Breakfast was sumptuous. Just love this place.

NNeo ChyeGreat service provided by hotel okada , staffs was friendly and helpful , provided useful information of hotel hot springs bath facilities and restaurants for customer , transport service provided for traveling between hakone Yumoto train station and hotel for customer accessible to day tour around the region , highly recommended for a great holidays experience.

KKai Z.Great Hotel with a stunning view. The service was great and we were welcomed in English, so check in and check out were not a problem. Staff was also really helpful when we had questions.
Only thing to consider might be, that the Hotel is not easy to reach. We have to walk around 15 minutes by foot from the bus stop on the road. I believe there are shuttles but we didn't use it. For us it was no problem but might be difficult for older people or with little babies. Also we heard steps from the room above us in our room and people talking from rooms next to us while in the private onsen, since the terraces are basically next to each other. I recommend to eat outside since there are many great and affordable options in walkable reach.
All in all, very nice stay and I can only recommend.
