The room was very clean and comfortable, big enough to fit 2 large sized luggages and additional baggage. Location is so convenient just opposite the Hakodate train station and bus station making it ideal for sightseeing around Hakodate. There are souvenir shops and a drugstore just beside the hotel. It’s also just one street beside the Hakodate morning where you can hop over for fresh sashimi and uni. The Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses is just a walkable distance with plenty of restaurants to choose from. The hotel bar is also nice and cosy with an amazing night view.

Location is good, convenient store just opposite to the hotel. All room is facing to lake toya, many choices for breakfast and dinner buffet. Outdoor onsen with great view. Recommended to stay this hotel.

Visit Hokkaido with parents last week, I reserved the cross floor double bed room because of the separate toilet and bathroom . However , the room they offer is totally different with the photo . My parents really upset about it because that is the worst toilet they had never been in Japan . We will not reserve this hotel if we know that the toilet is not separate and not offer electronic toilet board. The room is clean , however , that is not our ideal type . Staff is kind however only one room can change. Location is fine, few restaurants nearby . Beautiful hotel with a moor onsen spa and sauna. However it is a 15-min walk from the station and shuttle service is limited. Lots of weddings and royal visit at this resort. Twin Room is spacious and comfortable. Walking distance to M fast food chain next door and Aeon shopping nearby. I would highly recommend it.

I had a great stay at JR Inn. The location is very convenient — it’s close to the bus station and the JR station, so getting around is very easy. The room isn’t as tight as typical Japanese hotels; it’s small but well-equipped and comfortable. I also enjoyed the hot spring on the 12th floor — it’s free and the facilities are really good. My brief, one-night stay at Kohan Tei left me with mixed feelings. Stepping into the hotel, it was immediately clear that the property is quite dated; honestly, everything just looks worn out. This dated feel detracted from the experience, leaving the stunning lake view as the only true highlight—and even that is conditional on good weather, making it a bit hit-or-miss. The onsen was, unfortunately, a disappointment. The facility itself is small, and I found it inconvenient that they don't provide towels, requiring a trip back to the room. The biggest issue, however, was the outdoor bath: the water simply wasn't hot enough to truly relax in the cold winter air. On the positive side, I could see why the buffet dining is a big draw. Both breakfast and dinner seem popular, especially since they offer the fun option to do your own mini grill or hotpot. My only critique here is that the breakfast time felt relatively short—it was a definite rush to finish before the cutoff. Finally, the location is excellent for exploring. We enjoyed a lovely post-meal walk that stretches all the way to the ferry dock (about 3-4 km). It's a peaceful stroll with sculptures along the way, perfect for a photo or two. Overall, while the setting is beautiful, the hotel is truly due for a major renovation.

Location is not too far from Susukino, can walk and is comfortable to walk to Airport bus stop. I like welcome drink; Haskap juice. Room size is not big and but not too small. Breakfast is ok. But at walkway to room is too dark. At first day at lobby, I got smell of smoking. But all is ok for this hotel at the booking price.

Located just right next to the morning market. And the they have outdoor public hot bath which you could oversee the Hakodate sea view. In general, very good in value of price. Just one thing to note, you will need to park you car two streets away from the hotel.

Hotel looks new, but when you look closely, a lot of places are moldy, especially near the Onsen bath. When I entered my room after check in, I found a used razor in the bath area, cleaning service is poor. There is also no power socket near the bed. Plenty of tea choices in the lounge on the 2/F.

La Vista Hakodate Bay exceeded my expectations. The location is perfect — within walking distance to major spots like the red brick warehouse and Mt. Hakodate ropeway. The room was clean, spacious, and had a lovely nostalgic Japanese feel. The rooftop onsen was absolutely amazing, especially with the open-air bath overlooking the night view of Hakodate. The free late-night ramen was a nice surprise! Most of all, I want to thank a female staff member who gave us the best service I’ve experienced in Japan. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and thoughtful. I didn’t catch her name, but she truly made my stay unforgettable. Highly recommended!
