Kanishka provided us with the ideal holiday in Bali! It is centrally located in Seminyak. Just walk out the door and there are all the shops, restaurants and facilities. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean. Our room came with a private pool. The staff are friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Kanishka!

I can’t speak more highly of this excellent resort. Yes, it is away from the now very busy Kuta, Seminyak, Sanur, etc and thats great. Less traffic and less noise! Just get a driver/taxi to visit other areas, they are still very reasonably priced (by Aussie standards). The gardens are beautifully maintained, the pools sparkling and our villa very comfortable and private, also it’s own plunge pool…..very refreshing in a hot climate. We ate very well from the extensive buffet breakfast (included in our package), the a la carte lunch menu (small meal for us after a hearty breakfast) and the dinners when we ate in. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked and very well presented. I would like to give my greatest praise, and thanks, to the staff. I think we pretty much met them all as it’s not a huge resort. Without exception they were friendly, smiling, helpful, unobtrusive and a delight to spend time with. This was not our first trip to Bali, but probably the most memorable for all the right reasons. One aspect that should be addressed though is the lack of a full length mirror in the villa. A negative for my wife and adult daughters. Also I think 2 sets of keys should be provided in a 2 bedroom villa when 4 adults are staying. This would make the daily comings and goings easier

Where do I start!!! Well on first impressions we thought the place looked tired which we could get over but cleanliness is another matter, our room on first impressions looked nice until you looked more closely, I will upload photos of some of my concerning points. The photos on Desamuda webpage are very deceiving, firstly there was a huge problem with ants in the kitchenette area, I wanted to make a coffee and went to get a sachet and it was crawling in ants. The shower area which is in the bathroom but with open with no roof had mould all around and when it had rained the tray was covered in black stuff that had ran off the roof. The pool looked very nice on first impressions but was in a poor condition with the pump no running very often and mould on the tiles. The worst part that really bothered me at Desamuda is after breakfast every table was swept with a not very clean dustpan and brush and then reset, hence why all the edges of the tables had grime all around, no sanitizer was ever used. I would most definitely never return here or stay in Seminyak, it is a very dirty and noisy where you constantly get pestered walking down the street which I know is nothing to do with Desamuda but just want to let people know and help them not to waste there money, after talking to several people they said that we got the wrong end of the island, apparently the other side which I think is called Ubud is so much nicer.

We have recently returned from a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable 10 night vacation at Vivara Private Pool Villas & Spa Retreat in Jimbaran, Bali. Our aim was to get away from our busy life and take a complete break. The resort comprises 48 beautiful, private, self-contained pool villas, most of which are one or two-bedroom. Each villa is like your own home-away-from home, with pool decking and lounges, an alfresco kitchen bungalow (with a daily replenishment of non-alcoholic drinks in the mini bar), outdoor rain shower and bathroom, and a spacious bedroom with lounge area. It is clear that the resort aims to make every guest’s experience as comfortable as possible. As we were so comfortable in our villa, we were determined not to become complete ‘holiday recluses’ and, despite room service being the option for many of the guests, we always walked to the poolside restaurant for breakfast each morning, afternoon tea every second day, before feasting on a fabulous evening dining experience on alternate evenings. Needless to say, we did not leave Vivara hungry! The resort is like a small community, and staff are more than happy to transport you to and from your villa using golf buggies, or you can take advantage of the communal bikes and scooters and ride around the resort pathways. Additionally, a complimentary shuttle service to and from Jimbaran Beach is available, and times are customised to guests, creating a very personalised and welcome service. Being a spa retreat, we indulged in five deep tissue massages each, and they were a highlight of our stay. The private bungalows are built in a traditional Balinese style, are quiet and calming, and the masseuses provided a comfortable, relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Thank you, so much. The heart of the resort, though, is the staff. They were all, without exception, incredibly friendly, helpful, and always keen to converse and learn about their guests, or share their insights into Bali. We cannot recommend the Vivara staff highly enough. Thank you, Keke, and all your staff, for making our stay so enjoyable. We loved being immersed in the Balinese style of the resort, and Vivara did not disappoint as the ideal place for us to unwind and relax. We have no hesitation in recommending Vivara to any visitors searching for the same experience.

Immediate access to the vibrant Ubud market and the rich cultural activities of Ubud palace added convenience and enriched the overall stay. In conclusion, Komaneka at Monkey Forest offers a harmonious blend of relaxation and cultural immersion. The combination of serene accommodations, exceptional amenities, and attentive staff creates an atmosphere of refined luxury. My stay was enriched by the presence of monkeys on the premises, and I wholeheartedly look forward to returning. This resort is unequivocally deserving of its reputation, and I would unequivocally choose to stay here again on future visits to Ubud.

It’s a huge territory with 2 big swimming pools, restaurant, spa center and different types of rooms Also there’s a yoga shala which has all the necessary yoga props The spa area is also super beautiful and it’s good to rest there after a long day I especially liked the bed and pillows — very comfortable to sleep Unfortunately the lake was under repairs, but we were offered an upgrade to the sky villa Thank you very much for having us. We enjoyed it a lot

The staff and Location make this joint. The rooms are very good, large and well maintained, The Pool Villas are private and whilst at the moment they have some construction going on, you honestly would not know. The staff will run you into Lovina beach proper every day, and quite a few venues will come and pick you up and drop you back. The only downside to this place is the food. They need to get back to basic and serve the wonderful dishes that people travel to Bali for, forget the westernized menus of Burgers and Ribs etc. Serve a more traditional menu, Breakfast was pretty good. But the restaurant was the only reason this place did not get 5 stars. The staff are the best asset this place has.. a very relaxing time in Lovina, fix the Restaurant and you have a 5 star property in every way. Lovina is very laid back, no yells of ”transport” or ”taxi” no hassling from eager vendors, some polite questions as you walk past an outlet, nothing more.. A great spot for a chill out.

Pleasantly surprised by the size of each “room”, since each room is a villa with two levels plus a rooftop. It was awesome to be able to stay somewhere with a view of Mt Fuji. Staff were friendly and helpful, definitely recommend!

A three-story villa with European style decoration and a large yard where you can play billiards, sing, play mahjong, barbecue, and play video games... The lobby on the first floor is spacious and bright, and the bedroom has a large wardrobe. It makes me want to buy one myself. Really comfortable and pretty! The housekeeper service is also very good and patiently answers all questions. I will stay here again next time with my whole family!

We stayed as a family of 3 for 2 nights. The room was clean and neat. Check in was fast and hassle free. The staff were helpful and friendly. Location of the villa is good, walking distance to nearby seafood restaurant. Distance to shopping malls is not too far too as you can easily get a Gojek there. It is around 6km to BCS mall and A2 food court. One down side I feel was the lack of variety for the breakfast, it would be good if there is buffet spread. The music from the neighbouring cafe/pub was pretty loud till which could disturb guests who may be there to chill n relax. It didn't bother me very much probably I was tired out so slept pretty well. Overall a pleasant experience staying in this resort. Highly recommended for couples who wish to have a romantic getaway.

Decided to have a short staycay with our lil’ bub. We were greeted by mba Siti, fuss free check-in. Our 1BR villa was great. Clean, amenities provided was alrite, could be better. Lil’ bub loves the bath tub. Thank you mba Novi for the mozzie repellent for our lil’ bub. Staffs greeted us whenever we pass by! Felt so comfortable during our stay. Had a pleasant stay with Kamuela. Will definitely come back again 😍 one minus point will be the breakfast! Hope to see improvement during our next stay! 💙

I stayed there 5 days. They only serve breakfast, but with real brewed coffee and real Milk (no cream powder). The staff and the service are excellent. You ask for something and they almost run. They are always very happy to serve you and accomodate you in any request you have. They deserve 5 stars, but I gave 4 for the following reason : One day, as I was sitting quietly and reasing, 4 young guys around 18 years old came in and sit not too far from me. They were talking lound and using the wifi. I asked them if they had a room here and they said no. So I asked them to leave, but I had to ask them 3 times before they finally left. The manager was not there. There was only the maintenance man and 1 lady busy cleaning the rooms. THIS SHOULD NEVER BE TOLERATED. I hope future guest wont have to live that. Besides this non necessary event during my 5 days stay, I do recommend this hotel because everything else was more than perfect.

As we were so comfortable in our villa, we were determined not to become complete ‘holiday recluses’ and, despite room service being the option for many of the guests, we always walked to the poolside restaurant for breakfast each morning, afternoon tea every second day, before feasting on a fabulous evening dining experience on alternate evenings. Needless to say, we did not leave Vivara hungry! The resort is like a small community, and staff are more than happy to transport you to and from your villa using golf buggies, or you can take advantage of the communal bikes and scooters and ride around the resort pathways. Additionally, a complimentary shuttle service to and from Jimbaran Beach is available, and times are customised to guests, creating a very personalised and welcome service. Being a spa retreat, we indulged in five deep tissue massages each, and they were a highlight of our stay. The private bungalows are built in a traditional Balinese style, are quiet and calming, and the masseuses provided a comfortable, relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Thank you, so much. The heart of the resort, though, is the staff. They were all, without exception, incredibly friendly, helpful, and always keen to converse and learn about their guests, or share their insights into Bali. We cannot recommend the Vivara staff highly enough. Thank you, Keke, and all your staff, for making our stay so enjoyable. We loved being immersed in the Balinese style of the resort, and Vivara did not disappoint as the ideal place for us to unwind and relax. We have no hesitation in recommending Vivara to any visitors searching for the same experience.

The array of amenities provided by the resort was truly remarkable. The attention to detail was evident in every facet, from the well-maintained grounds to the thoughtfully curated in-room features. The seamless blend of modern comfort and traditional aesthetics added a unique charm to the overall ambiance. One aspect that stood out remarkably was the staff’s kindness and attentiveness. Their commitment to ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay was palpable, and it greatly contributed to the overall positive experience. Their impeccable service went beyond expectations, creating an atmosphere of genuine warmth. A highlight of the stay was the unexpected delight of encountering monkeys on the resort’s grounds. This added an element of natural wonder to the experience and provided a unique connection to the destination’s surroundings. The resort’s strategic location on Monkey Forest Road proved to be an ideal base for exploration. Immediate access to the vibrant Ubud market and the rich cultural activities of Ubud palace added convenience and enriched the overall stay. In conclusion, Komaneka at Monkey Forest offers a harmonious blend of relaxation and cultural immersion. The combination of serene accommodations, exceptional amenities, and attentive staff creates an atmosphere of refined luxury. My stay was enriched by the presence of monkeys on the premises, and I wholeheartedly look forward to returning. This resort is unequivocally deserving of its reputation, and I would unequivocally choose to stay here again on future visits to Ubud.

It’s a huge territory with 2 big swimming pools, restaurant, spa center and different types of rooms Also there’s a yoga shala which has all the necessary yoga props The spa area is also super beautiful and it’s good to rest there after a long day I especially liked the bed and pillows — very comfortable to sleep Unfortunately the lake was under repairs, but we were offered an upgrade to the sky villa Thank you very much for having us. The staff and Location make this joint. The rooms are very good, large and well maintained, The Pool Villas are private and whilst at the moment they have some construction going on, you honestly would not know. The staff will run you into Lovina beach proper every day, and quite a few venues will come and pick you up and drop you back. The only downside to this place is the food. They need to get back to basic and serve the wonderful dishes that people travel to Bali for, forget the westernized menus of Burgers and Ribs etc. Serve a more traditional menu, Breakfast was pretty good. But the restaurant was the only reason this place did not get 5 stars. The staff are the best asset this place has.. a very relaxing time in Lovina, fix the Restaurant and you have a 5 star property in every way. Lovina is very laid back, no yells of ”transport” or ”taxi” no hassling from eager vendors, some polite questions as you walk past an outlet, nothing more.. A great spot for a chill out.
