"Room is pretty and seems newly renovated. Hotel is one of the highest point and shall be able to see the beauty view of meili mountain. We are not fortunate enough as it was foggyyyy that morning. But if you are fortunate, I believe the view will be stunning from the room. Plenty of restaurants and convenience store within 3mins walk"

The hotel adopts whole-house oxygen production equipment, whole-house floor heating, and whole-intelligent system to ensure the comfort and convenience of guests when enjoying the beautiful scenery. The hotel is equipped with a tea room, a coffee bar, a fireplace area and a library, as well as a large unobserved viewing platform on the top floor, making Meili a beautiful memory for you.

"The best hotel I stayed in in China. Pricey, but an extremely memorable experience. 1) Got a free upgrade from a room without a view of the mountain to one with a view. It was incredible and perhaps the best view from a hotel I've seen in my life, complete with a floating bathtub, smart curtains, all the frills. 2) Food is amazing- got dinner ordered in (as your options are limited), abit pricey but very delicious and so too was breakfast. 3) Location is incredible as it is right in front of a viewpoint of the mountain. The hotel also has a beautiful rooftop complete with piano and deck. It even has free tripods for use, on the deck and in the room, which was perfect for me a solo traveler. To share- I took the usual (public?) bus from Shangri-la which was a incredibly scenic four hour ride. This bus isn't the most comfortable. It's cramped and very difficult to communicate if you don't speak Chinese, but I got by with WeChat. This hotel will tell you to get the bus driver to drop you at Wu Nong Ding which is slightly before Fei Lai Si- from there the hotel picks you up and you arrive in the hotel within maybe 5 minutes. The hotel also helped me arrange for a ticket on the bus back to Shangri-la. Thank you for your hospitality!"

"This hotel has the best location in Upper Yubeng, as it is only a short walk away from the main village while the rest of the hotels in the village are built very closely together. The view from the room is amazing too, just as advertised, though the weather was not good while we came the view of the mountains and Lower Yubeng was still beautiful. Room comes with smart toilet, heated floors and heated blankets. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable about the area and very quick to respond to queries on WeChat, which we appreciated. There is a stove heater in the middle of the hotel where you can have a cup of ginger tea and watch the hotel cats walk about. We also ordered dinner at their in-house restaurant and we enjoyed the food too. The hotel also has a cafe with good coffee and a viewing deck both on the roof which we could see Baima mountain very clearly during the time we were there. Would recommend everyone to choose this hotel when coming to Upper Yubeng."

The BEST location with the BEST view in the entire town. Very friendly staff. Rooms got a little cold in the middle of the night as the floor heater was not powerful enough and was switched off after midnight (?), but staff immediately came up with TWO heaters to ensure that we could warm ourselves up thereafter. They also prepared a small gift for us at the end of our stay, which they delivered to our next hotel because we didn't want to take it with us on our 4 day hike.

We were graciously upgraded to a room that offered an uninterrupted view of the majestic Meili Snow Mountain, allowing us to take in its quiet grandeur from the comfort of our own space. It was a gesture that did more than offer convenience—it created a sense of peace that stayed with us throughout our time there. The service staff were nothing short of extraordinary. With every interaction, they brought warmth, grace, and a genuine desire to make us feel at home. Their quiet attentiveness and heartfelt hospitality added so much depth to the stay, turning each moment into something memorable. This is a place that leaves a mark on your heart. I will miss it dearly and carry the memories with me until I return again. I look forward not only to my next visit, but also with great anticipation to discovering their new estate in 雨棚, which I’m sure will be equally enchanting.

This is my absolute favorite hotel during my trip to China. The design is truly beautiful and full of cultural charm, with a stunning view of the snow-capped mountains - especially at sunrise. I really fell in love with the atmosphere here: cozy, calm, modern yet deeply rooted in local culture. It felt like a true vacation home, the perfect place to unwind after long days of traveling. I could see the mountains right from my balcony, but the best view is from the coffee area on the 4th floor. I also got to try several traditional activities during my stay, which made the experience even more memorable. The food was delicious - both breakfast and dinner - and despite the cold weather, the room stayed warm and incredibly comfortable. The hotel has everything you could possibly need, so you don’t even have to step outside. I'll definitely come back someday just for a relaxing getaway!

Hotel is right on one of the main roads in the town with only about 5mins taxi ride to the North gate of the historic town and about 10 minutes walking to the bus terminal. The room is clean and in a decent size. The staff is helpful and friendly when being approached. Breakfast is served with both local dietaries and limited kind of bread pastries cereals for western visitors. We are served with free fruit plate in the room during the stay as well. Overall it was a good stay considering the price and location.

Didn’t expect this hotel to be so luxurious. The room looks abit small in pictures but in real life the room is HUGE. The service is also very good and we felt welcomed when we arrived after a long journey. The breakfast buffet is great as well. Its so far the best breakfast I had throughout my trip in Shangri-la. There’s steak, rice noodles DIY counter, and other tasty varieties. Worth coming back here again!

The service is super nice, they have pick up service from Deqin tunnel to the hotel. Hosts are friendly who ask whether you need help often. The location is sick, you can directly see the snow mountain from the balcony. That would save loads of energy going out and back. Amenities are clean, making us feel comfortable staying. One point to note, their food is so nice, not expecting to have these qualitied meals up the hill.

I had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful hotel. The location is perfect—just about 20 minutes from the busy town center, which makes it wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Every morning, I woke up to an amazing mountain view that instantly set the tone for a relaxing day. The property itself is stunning, especially the vineyard, which adds so much charm. I loved the free wine tasting sessions, and the hosts were incredibly kind, caring, and always eager to make sure we had everything we needed. Their warm hospitality truly made the experience feel personal. The food was excellent, with every meal prepared thoughtfully and bursting with flavor. For those who love a bit of adventure, the ATV facilities are a fantastic addition. We also enjoyed grape plucking right in the vineyard—such a unique and fun activity! Overall, this place is a perfect blend of tranquility, great service, and memorable experiences. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature with a touch of adventure. One small issue I had was that the air-conditioner was blowing warm air, but after I informed the team, they fixed it within a short time. Great service and quick response — really appreciated it!

上雨崩非常漂亮的民宿，坐在落地窗前就能欣賞雪山和草甸的美景，店家的服務更是熱情周到，因為村裡修路所以徒步進村，花總提前打電話告知，讓我們有了心理準備個避免了不少不必要的麻煩。老闆的廚藝更是無話可説，讓我們在吃了一週的雲南菜後嚐到了廣東地道的叉燒和葱油雞，讓我家兩寶讚不絕口，離店時更是貼心的準備了三明治給我們徒步返回的路上當乾糧。祝花總生意興隆，財源滾滾哦？

This is a hostel setup, in a mountain area of upper Yubeng. Surprisingly well maintained. Bed sheets pillow covers are clean. They ate washed and dried everyday. Plenty of hot water for shower. The staff are polite and friendly. There is a little mother dog with her three puppies that lives downstairs. She tries quite hard to protect and feed her puppies just like any other mother would do. I bought boiled eggs and fed her a few times. Please look for her and feed her if you can. She is a good mother dog, she needs god food and energy to take care of her puppies.
