"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, which is perfectly situated in town, offering breathtaking views right from our room (for sunset and sunrise see photos). The location alone makes it a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel very welcome. The owner even parked our car right in front of the hotel. Even though we don’t speak Chinese, communication was smooth thanks to a translation app. Their hospitality truly stood out, and we appreciated their warm and accommodating attitude.
The only downside was that our room was quite cold until the heating started working in the evening.
Overall, despite this small issue, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a scenic and welcoming place to stay in the Meili Snow Mountains!"

The hotel is located in the Meili Snow Mountain National Park, facing the Feilaisi viewing platform, which gives the hotel the best angle to enjoy the Mountain View. There are 20 rooms in hotel, all facing the Meili mountain. The big glass windows make all the guests enjoy the spectacular Mountain View easily.
There is a restaurant and a coffee house in hotel. There is buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner are also supplied during 12:00-21:30. Guests can enjoy coffee, wine, and deserts etc. in coffee house during 10:00-22:00.
Outside the coffee house, there is a big platform on which guests can enjoy the first glory sunshine on the golden mountain Meili.
"You get a special access of the roof top of the hotel to watch the golden sunrise of Meili mountain! Room is perfectly clean, breakfast is nice, and the vibe is amazing. The room has such a spectacular view of the mountain!
If you are a photographer though, I recommend a room with the balcony as taking photo through the glass window gives a bit of reflection.
Even though the hotel is by the main street, the hotel has taken precautions (such as double glazed windows) to ensure a quiet and comfortable stay.
The bed was really comfortable too!
My only criticism is the temperature of the room is a bit warm (I stayed in October), and I don't think there was AC to help cool it down. It did cool down naturally later in the night though."

According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. This hotel is a popular accommodation for groups of friends traveling together.
"This hotel has the best location in Upper Yubeng, as it is only a short walk away from the main village while the rest of the hotels in the village are built very closely together. The view from the room is amazing too, just as advertised, though the weather was not good while we came the view of the mountains and Lower Yubeng was still beautiful. Room comes with smart toilet, heated floors and heated blankets. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable about the area and very quick to respond to queries on WeChat, which we appreciated. There is a stove heater in the middle of the hotel where you can have a cup of ginger tea and watch the hotel cats walk about. We also ordered dinner at their in-house restaurant and we enjoyed the food too. The hotel also has a cafe with good coffee and a viewing deck both on the roof which we could see Baima mountain very clearly during the time we were there. Would recommend everyone to choose this hotel when coming to Upper Yubeng."

"Firstly, this has to be one of the nicest places which I stayed at in Yunnan, or in China for that matter. You may be thinking that is price is good to be true, but this place performs well above what is to be expected of that price range. I was originally planning to stay elsewhere in Benzilan, but am very glad that I stayed here.
The rooms are super spacious with high ceilings and wooden furniture. The view out of my window was very green and calming. The amenities were all well-maintained and very clean. The pictures really don't do the rooms the justice that they deserve.
Secondly, and very importantly, the owner - a young Benzilan local who operates the hotel with his mother - is exceptionally kind, genuine and friendly. As a solo traveller, he helped organise transport, offered lunch, and even some of the local liquor. As far as service goes, this place remains unbeaten amongst all the places I've travelled in China.
The hotel overlooks the mountains surrounding Benzilan. In the evening, you can peacefully sit outside the hotel on its elevated terrace and quietly watch the mountains as the sun goes down.
I would not hesitate to stay again."

"老闆們都很好，床品很乾凈，房間有電熱毯。我晚上去看月落銀山老闆看見了還跟我説讓我注意看車注意安全，如果害怕的話，待會就打電話給他，他去接我。不過我超獨立堅強，我都是自己去自己回的。哈哈哈哈哈，但是還是很感動啦
第二天老闆又送我們去看日照金山，雖然衹有不到1公里的距離
回來之後老闆還給了早餐，不過我因為行程的原因沒怎麼吃。老闆為了讓我能多吃一些種類，每份都給了我一點。每一個老闆都很好，都是笑嘻嘻的，長得也很温柔，真的強烈推薦，他們家的菜也很好吃，都是現做的，也很實惠。"

"Wonderful! Truly felt like a luxurious home stay with beautiful design and high quality linens. Hotel was kind enough to help us book bus tickets to Ninong, drive us to and from the observation deck for Meili Xue Shan at sunrise, and drop us off at the bus station. Highly recommend!"

"🌟 完全超出預期！必須給滿分！
第一次這麼認真寫長評，因為真心覺得好！老闆和老闆娘是本地藏族人，人特別實在熱情，辦理入住時居然主動給我們免費升級了最大的房間！房間真的超大，藏式風格很好看，而且收拾得特別乾淨，住起來很舒服。雖然我們這間窗子不是正對雪山，但也能看到很壯觀的山景，心情一下就好了！
他們家離觀景台很近，本來想自己走，結果老闆娘説沒事我送你們，來回都免費接，太暖了。晚上老闆還組織去看“月照銀山”，也是開車帶我們去，幫忙拍照技術居然很不錯！我後來不小心把房卡弄丟了，老闆一點沒計較，還笑着安慰我，真的特別不好意思。
唯一遺憾是因為第二天一早要進雨崩，沒機會多住，日照金山也是匆匆一瞥…但正因為這樣，下次來飛來寺一定還會選這裏，為了雪山，也為了這裏像家一樣的温度。
已經跟朋友推薦了，如果你也來找梅里雪山腳下的住處，選這家不會錯！真實體驗，良心安利～"

"You can see that it is an old hotel and can't really compare with other 5 star hotels on many aspects. But it is probably understandable considering the very remote location. Nevertheless, we were extremely satisfied with their service, especially from Ms Angel. Firstly, they gave us a free room upgrade and even decorated our room nicely after knowing that we were on our honeymoon. Angel also contacted us beforehand to make sure everything was ok, she was so friendly and helpful throughout, and when we were leaving, she even went out of her way to make multiple phone calls to make sure our bus seats back to Shangri-la was secured. Would highly recommend for the hospitality alone."

"The hotel location is very near to see the Sunrise of the Meili Snow Mountain. Service is good and room is very nice. Food is of typical Shangri-La style Mee Xian, eggs and porridge. As we were there in late Oct, there was no air conditioning and relied on natural air, the room can be a bit warm. The overall experience of the hotel is still very good."

1) Got a free upgrade from a room without a view of the mountain to one with a view. It was incredible and perhaps the best view from a hotel I've seen in my life, complete with a floating bathtub, smart curtains, all the frills.
2) Food is amazing- got dinner ordered in (as your options are limited), abit pricey but very delicious and so too was breakfast.
3) Location is incredible as it is right in front of a viewpoint of the mountain. The hotel also has a beautiful rooftop complete with piano and deck. It even has free tripods for use, on the deck and in the room, which was perfect for me a solo traveler.
To share- I took the usual (public?) bus from Shangri-la which was a incredibly scenic four hour ride. This bus isn't the most comfortable. It's cramped and very difficult to communicate if you don't speak Chinese, but I got by with WeChat. This hotel will tell you to get the bus driver to drop you at Wu Nong Ding which is slightly before Fei Lai Si- from there the hotel picks you up and you arrive in the hotel within maybe 5 minutes. The hotel also helped me arrange for a ticket on the bus back to Shangri-la.

老闆的廚藝更是無話可説，讓我們在吃了一週的雲南菜後嚐到了廣東地道的叉燒和葱油雞，讓我家兩寶讚不絕口，離店時更是貼心的準備了三明治給我們徒步返回的路上當乾糧。祝花總生意興隆，財源滾滾哦？

The service staff were nothing short of extraordinary. With every interaction, they brought warmth, grace, and a genuine desire to make us feel at home. Their quiet attentiveness and heartfelt hospitality added so much depth to the stay, turning each moment into something memorable.
This is a place that leaves a mark on your heart. I will miss it dearly and carry the memories with me until I return again. I look forward not only to my next visit, but also with great anticipation to discovering their new estate in 雨棚, which I’m sure will be equally enchanting.

MMisafir KullanıcıHotel is right on one of the main roads in the town with only about 5mins taxi ride to the North gate of the historic town and about 10 minutes walking to the bus terminal. The room is clean and in a decent size. The staff is helpful and friendly when being approached. Breakfast is served with both local dietaries and limited kind of bread pastries cereals for western visitors. We are served with free fruit plate in the room during the stay as well. Overall it was a good stay considering the price and location.

The location is convenient, just a short walk away from the Feilaisi Observation Deck. The service is warm and friendly. I felt very at home here. The location is sick, you can directly see the snow mountain from the balcony. That would save loads of energy going out and back. Amenities are clean, making us feel comfortable staying. One point to note, their food is so nice, not expecting to have these qualitied meals up the hill.

RRosa09As one of the rare solo travelers to Meilin, our check-in process took a little longer than usual since the staff wasn’t entirely familiar with handling overseas guests (They probably wasn't used to seeing non-locals HAHA). That said, they were extremely accommodating—they kindly invited us to rest in our room first and even enthusiastically helped carry our (very heavy) luggage upstairs. Despite our late arrival around 10 PM, the staff patiently waited for us and assisted in unloading our bags from the car, which we greatly appreciated.
The hotel itself was clean and cozy. Our room was spacious and well-heated, including a warm bathroom that was a real comfort in the chilly weather. Water pressure and hot water was good. While our booking was for three people, the room was initially stocked with toiletries for two—but this was quickly resolved with a simple call to the front desk.
A standout feature was the smart AI assistant (Xiao Du) in the room, which was perfect for those who enjoy convenience—controlling lights and music hands-free was a nice touch. Location-wise, the hotel is well-situated, just a short 15-minute walk to Feilai Temple. The photos on Trip were accurate, and while there wasn't a strong mountain view from our room, it didn’t detract from the overall pleasant experience.
Overall, the hotel offered great service, comfort, and convenience, making it a solid choice for anyone visiting the area.

MMisafir KullanıcıI had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful hotel. The location is perfect—just about 20 minutes from the busy town center, which makes it wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Every morning, I woke up to an amazing mountain view that instantly set the tone for a relaxing day.
The property itself is stunning, especially the vineyard, which adds so much charm. I loved the free wine tasting sessions, and the hosts were incredibly kind, caring, and always eager to make sure we had everything we needed. Their warm hospitality truly made the experience feel personal.
The food was excellent, with every meal prepared thoughtfully and bursting with flavor. For those who love a bit of adventure, the ATV facilities are a fantastic addition. We also enjoyed grape plucking right in the vineyard—such a unique and fun activity!
Overall, this place is a perfect blend of tranquility, great service, and memorable experiences. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature with a touch of adventure.
One small issue I had was that the air-conditioner was blowing warm air, but after I informed the team, they fixed it within a short time. Great service and quick response — really appreciated it!

LLinda PuiJust to make it clear that the location of this hotel is not at the Meili Viewing Platform. You need to walk around 10 minutes to reach the platform to watch Meili at sunrise. The mountain that is in the background of the hotel is Baima mountain.
Having said that, we loved our stay at this hotel. The cabin was nicely decorated and equipped with all amenities. We loved the bathroom! The heater was working well in the cold weather.
The uncle was lovely. It was a bit hard for us to conmunicate what we wanted as we don't speak Chinese but through Wechat translation he was able to arrange a car (shared trip) to Mingyong Glacier and a private transfer back to Shangri La for us. The auntie at the breakfast was also lovely and welcoming, trying to chat with us all the time.
One thing to note is that aroud the area there are a lot of construction sites (there is one opposite the hotel), so it can be dusty and noisy at times. Please check with the hotel about the construction if it is still ongoing during the time you want to visit.
All in all, I highly recommend this place if you want a lovely cabin experience (with sky window!) away from the busy area. However, you won't see Meili from the hotel's windows.

MMisafir KullanıcıIt started off not too well. Our driver took us to a wrong hotel, a hotel which was grander, more beautiful and it faces the Meili Mountain! We were so disappointed when we found out that that was not the hotel we booked.
Even though Deqin Zangshan Yunju Hotel is not facing the Meili Mountain, it does provide shuttle to the viewing platform. The lady driver was waiting for us to take us there before the sunrise. It was a good thing too, our own guide and driver failed to show up to take us there!!!! When one can only see the sunrise on Meili for 67 days out of 365 days a year, it came as no surprise that we did not see the sunrise due to cloud cover. All is not lost though since this hotel faces the Baima Mountain and we did catch a beautiful sunrise from the hotel. The 4th floor rooftop is perfect for that. We had the 270 degree room which offers a fantastic view, but the windows were not cleaned as well, so taking photos from the room was not as good.
The breakfast was adequate. It would be nice if they could prepare a bit more. I am sure if I asked, they would make more for me though.
No regrets staying at this great hotel. The hotel is located close to the Fellei temple.
