"very clean hotel with unblocked views. staff were really nice and room was extremely clean. the voice command functions in the room were pretty cool too. there was even a surprise cup of warm yak milk in the evening which was a nice touch. there is also an eatery run by the hotel at the ground floor - the food is great and value for money. highly recommend upgrading/choosing the room with views though bc it looked much nicer and we eventually upgraded on the spot after being allowed to check out the upgraded option."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, which is perfectly situated in town, offering breathtaking views right from our room (for sunset and sunrise see photos). The location alone makes it a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel very welcome. The owner even parked our car right in front of the hotel. Even though we don’t speak Chinese, communication was smooth thanks to a translation app. Their hospitality truly stood out, and we appreciated their warm and accommodating attitude.
The only downside was that our room was quite cold until the heating started working in the evening.
Overall, despite this small issue, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a scenic and welcoming place to stay in the Meili Snow Mountains!"

"It was a great experience staying at this hotel. Didn't expect they provided hot milk & fruit to welcome us. There is an oxygen generator provided in the room. Our room is directly facing Meili snow mountain 🏔️. Can take photos directly from the room. One of the unexpected facilities that the hotel provided was the floor also fitted with a heater. You will feel all the things in your luggage warm in the morning. I highly recommend staying here."

"雖然就差一天錯過中秋當晚的銀山+金山萬分遺憾。但是這個觀景台正對面的酒店千值萬值！酒店頂樓露台是極佳的觀景位置，地面是反光玻璃，拍照也很好，然後可以拿椅子坐着慢慢看雪山發呆，悠閑的狀態很是舒服！有露台的話早上可以在房間裏看到山峯露出以後再跑到頂樓看，突出一個淡定從容，天冷在床上看也完全ok！酒店應該是新裝修不久，所有設施都在一個很棒的狀態，製氧機很好用，尤其晚上睡不舒服的都可以用下，都敞開免費供應的。酒店老闆娘也特別棒，停車可以上車指路，很熱心的幫助拿行李，態度特別真誠，給的建議都很有用靠譜！總之這一趟雖然一天之差沒有日照金山，但還是非常非常滿意的一趟梅里觀景之旅。"

Outside the coffee house, there is a big platform on which guests can enjoy the first glory sunshine on the golden mountain Meili.
"一個半月前就預訂了這家酒店，當時也是在飛來寺和霧濃頂當中盲選的 事實證明選擇對了 當時為了日照金山索性預訂了兩晚 雖然最後都沒有看到日照金山，但是好歹看到了雪山 坐在頂樓咖啡廳就看着雪山發呆真是一件幸福又奢侈的事 （日照金山的遺憾是為了下次和酒店的重逢）説重點 酒店位置極好 就在飛來寺觀景台正對面 衹不過標間是在一樓 會有些許阻擋視線 看雪山可以去頂樓 酒店服務人員也會提前一天聯繫 確認好下午茶的套餐選擇（因為都是新鮮採購）不管是咖啡吧還是負一樓餐飲 我都覺得出品很精緻 味道也不錯 第一天晚上餐廳沒位置了，選擇了送餐到房間 第二天晚上吃了臘排骨火鍋 都很推薦~ 就餐飲不踩雷新這一點我就覺得很值 然後房間很大 住起來很舒服 也看得出來老闆是個講究人，所有物品都很有質感 且潔具全是漢斯格雅 住宿體驗這一塊滿分 服務的話也是不錯的 雖然價格不算美麗，但整體而言我覺得還是值得的 下次再來梅里，我也依然會選擇拾柒！！！"

"Firstly, this has to be one of the nicest places which I stayed at in Yunnan, or in China for that matter. You may be thinking that is price is good to be true, but this place performs well above what is to be expected of that price range. I was originally planning to stay elsewhere in Benzilan, but am very glad that I stayed here.
The rooms are super spacious with high ceilings and wooden furniture. The view out of my window was very green and calming. The amenities were all well-maintained and very clean. The pictures really don't do the rooms the justice that they deserve.
Secondly, and very importantly, the owner - a young Benzilan local who operates the hotel with his mother - is exceptionally kind, genuine and friendly. As a solo traveller, he helped organise transport, offered lunch, and even some of the local liquor. As far as service goes, this place remains unbeaten amongst all the places I've travelled in China.
The hotel overlooks the mountains surrounding Benzilan. In the evening, you can peacefully sit outside the hotel on its elevated terrace and quietly watch the mountains as the sun goes down.
I would not hesitate to stay again."

"Excellent location, next to the bus stop where coach bus from Shangri-la will stop. And it's just 200m to the viewing platform of Meili Snow Mountain for sunrise.
The room is very clean, spacious, with heated floor, heating mattress, oxygen supply (if needed), furnishing is 5-star quality.
The owner is very helpful giving us accurate info on how to observe Meili Snow Mountain sunrise, and helped to buy the coach bus tickets back to Shangri-la. The restaurant at second floor can observe BaiMa Snow Mountain (sunset) and Meili Snow Mountain (sunrise) if you don't want to go outdoor. Highly recommended for anyone coming to FeiLaiShi."

"The place is basic, but it served my needs: an unobstructed view of the mountain peaks from the room, a short walk to the viewing platform, and nearby eateries. It is located right in front of a main street, but noise wasn't an issue during my stay. The electric blanket on my bed wasn't working, but there was a heater in the room. There was a smell from the washroom; it wasn't particularly unpleasant, but it bothered my mom. You may want to manage your expectations if you're looking for a place that offers more in terms of service, facilities, and comfort. Considering that the hotel next door charges almost double, I'd say this place is still worth what you pay."

- Decent afternoon tea and night soup provided. Breakfast was quite filling too.
- Room was really spacious, sound-proof, and well insulated from the winter cold.

Cons:
- Could have provided free streaming services for Projector, given the high cost of the hotel. Couldnt enjoy watching movies without paying extra.

The rooms are clean, the bathrooms are excellent, and the view from the windows of the mountains is fantastic. The Hotel also has a viewing area (and a bar) on the roof, providing the best sunrise view of the entire region's mountains. The restaurant has a great menu and excellent food; it is the best restaurant in the area. Finally, the staff Wenwen and others are wonderful, friendly and helpful. They arranged car and driver tours for us to travel around the area and addressed our requests. Excellent stay. They are highly recommended. Ken and Jacqueline

There are many home stays nearby that offers the same Mountain View. We paid a premium to stay here, not only for the Mountain View, but also for the supposed services and daily activities that the hotel advertised on social media.
Unfortunately the service level is almost non existent, the breakfast area is easily overpacked. The staffs even asked me to share a four people table with a couple during breakfast. I am not paying USD500 per night so I can share a dining table with strangers with no privacy.
We joined the sound healing experience which was held at 9pm (on the contrary to most other sound healing experiences I had, which is usually in the morning). The sound healing experience was held in the meditation room, which is located right above the Bar. Naturally, during the sound healing experience I heard mostly loud speakers playing APT and other loud music, with some light bowl singing sound.
The dinner was the worst I have had during my 9 days trip in Yunnan. The afternoon tea on level 5 (Bar area) was strangely arranged with all guests cramped next to each other and hunched over the low table where snacks are placed.
The hotel claims to have the top hotel room design and provides top end appliances in all the rooms, including HERMES toiletries, a B&O speaker, and Dyson hairdryer. The staffs introduced the room with great enthusiasm and pride on the small design details.
Although, after 2nights in the hotel, I left feeling the hotel is nothing but an empty shell with no soul.
I will not come back to this hotel again

We were graciously upgraded to a room that offered an uninterrupted view of the majestic Meili Snow Mountain, allowing us to take in its quiet grandeur from the comfort of our own space. It was a gesture that did more than offer convenience—it created a sense of peace that stayed with us throughout our time there.
The service staff were nothing short of extraordinary. With every interaction, they brought warmth, grace, and a genuine desire to make us feel at home. Their quiet attentiveness and heartfelt hospitality added so much depth to the stay, turning each moment into something memorable.
This is a place that leaves a mark on your heart. I will miss it dearly and carry the memories with me until I return again. I look forward not only to my next visit, but also with great anticipation to discovering their new estate in 雨棚, which I’m sure will be equally enchanting.

MMisafir KullanıcıThis hotel offers a great location to view the Meili Snow Mountains during the morning golden peak and also sunset (if you're lucky with the weather conditions). It is right next to the bus stop, which means it is very convenient if you are planning to catch an early morning bus (in our case). Rooms can be a bit pricey, but we know that we are essentially paying for the view. The food at the hotel is also tasty, I didn't need to go and look anywhere else for dinner and breakfast. I appreciated the great help that was provided by a staff named Xiao Wei. We arrived at the hotel when it was raining and wasn't expecting to see any mountain range in sight, but then the sky suddenly cleared up during the evening just shortly before sunset whilst we were having dinner and Xiao Wei came over to tell us to go and have a look at the snow mountain, which made our hearts rushed with joy. We also appreciated when Xiao Wei told us again during night time that the mountain range was visible so we quickly opened the curtain to treat ourselves with another fantastic view. The viewing platform on the top floor is a great location to see the sunrise and golden peak. I personally think it's even better viewing at the Feilai Temple platform that most tourists go to. On a final note, Xiao Wei again was very kind to help us by going to the bus platform at 8.30 AM in the morning to help us purchase the bus tickets from the driver (we couldn't do so as wechat pay didn't work for us).
We were very happy with our stay here and got very lucky with some of the best views during our entire Yunnan trip. Thank you very much to Xiao Wei and the staff at Once Upon A Time in Meili :)

The location is sick, you can directly see the snow mountain from the balcony. That would save loads of energy going out and back. Amenities are clean, making us feel comfortable staying. RRosa09As one of the rare solo travelers to Meilin, our check-in process took a little longer than usual since the staff wasn’t entirely familiar with handling overseas guests (They probably wasn't used to seeing non-locals HAHA). That said, they were extremely accommodating—they kindly invited us to rest in our room first and even enthusiastically helped carry our (very heavy) luggage upstairs. Despite our late arrival around 10 PM, the staff patiently waited for us and assisted in unloading our bags from the car, which we greatly appreciated.
The hotel itself was clean and cozy. Our room was spacious and well-heated, including a warm bathroom that was a real comfort in the chilly weather. Water pressure and hot water was good. While our booking was for three people, the room was initially stocked with toiletries for two—but this was quickly resolved with a simple call to the front desk.
A standout feature was the smart AI assistant (Xiao Du) in the room, which was perfect for those who enjoy convenience—controlling lights and music hands-free was a nice touch. Location-wise, the hotel is well-situated, just a short 15-minute walk to Feilai Temple. The photos on Trip were accurate, and while there wasn't a strong mountain view from our room, it didn’t detract from the overall pleasant experience.
Overall, the hotel offered great service, comfort, and convenience, making it a solid choice for anyone visiting the area.

服務：入住後工作人員很耐心逐個房間教大家操控電器，早餐也無限量供應，米線湯底比較清淡，但恰好適合重口味好幾天的我們，哈哈！ 洗澡時熱水供應不太穩定，大床房的智能家居也沒調試好，建議店家抽空瞅瞅，太形象入住感了…
環境：原以為民宿是在半山上、能看到梅里，到店發現方位是看不到梅里的，由於天氣原因周圍都是霧，對面山頭都看不到了，位置在214國道邊上，一個很大的院子、5間客房、一個草坪，房間是原木風為主，坐在陽台看着草坪吃着歡迎水果也是一種享受～ 本人鼻子比較靈敏，入住期間很大一股木頭味兒，聞着不太舒服導致半夜醒了好幾次，建議大床房的房間也增加防蚊紗窗，日常天氣好的時候多開紗窗通風散味喲！房頂的觀星天窗也建議定期清洗玻璃麪哦～
