Good location only a 15 minute walk from BNS station. Single room was perfect for a solo traveller had everything you’d need, en-suite bathroom, toiletries & beverage tray. Good food served downstairs in the pub.

There is so much to unpack here when it comes to Selina Birmingham. Never again am I staying at this hellhole of a hotel. For a name like Selina, the hotel sure is nightmarish to stay at. It's shameful that the hotel shares the same name with my non-biological/cosplay partner. There is no breakfast but at least, the bedding, the pillows and the duvet are comfy (but most likely due to the fact that I’m tired) and the wi-fi is decent. Unfortunately, this is where the compliments stop, especially when the dorm rooms are so dark, you have to turn on the flashlight on your phone in order to see. Not to mention, there is no television in the room I was staying in. To make matters worse, the dorm room is cold, coupled with no heating. I honestly don't mind the cold most of the time but the room temperature is too cold for my liking. Speaking of the ground floor, the Korean receptionist told me that I'm not allowed to eat my food at a table at the cafe and told me to climb the stairs all the way to the third floor in order to eat my food. It isn't fair, considering the receptionist with the short, dark hair tends to allow me to eat my food at a table at the cafe during the very early hours of the morning. I eventually lost my patience and yelled at the Korean receptionist. It's rare when I lose my patience. I threatened in a growly voice with, ”I suggest you fill the pot noodle to the top with water unless you want a scathing, negative review to be blasted on the radio for everyone to hear?”. Finally, she got the memo. The rooms, bathrooms and toilets and facilities are unsanitary (for example, there are biscuit crumbs all over the bed sheets. I didn't know until I got out of bed), the entire hotel itself is not accessibility-friendly as if the lack of a lift and the staff not being accommodating towards disabled people such as myself isn’t of any indication, the kitchen and the kitchen equipment on the third floor are dirty, there is no hot water in some of the bathrooms within the dorm rooms, the bathrooms and the dorm rooms are shared (therefore, there is no privacy), the lights keep turning themselves off if you’re idle (I’m more used to turning on and off the lights on my own accord), you need to pay £10 for a padlock which is complicated for disabled people and the list goes on. The toilets, bathrooms, kitchen etc are just as dirty as Badea Faulkner and Olive Allison Brown from the Avanzar House in Middleton, Manchester not cleaning up after themselves. And don’t get me started on the staff being problematic. They aren’t very useful to the point where I had to shout at them due to their language barriers and them not listening to me, let alone understanding me. This is troubling for autistic people like me. Never in all my years have I encountered such frustrating hotel staff members. Compared to the other hotels I've stayed at in the past, the hotel staff in these hotels were never infuriating. If a lack of staff doesn’t tell you the appalling

Absolutely loved this hotel, fantastic and helpful staff on reception. Clean and friendly. Very professional. Cant say the same about my experience with Trim. Will not be booking anything else with Trim again. Feel robbed and I don't need any Trim points. If it was not for the hotel I would not have had the facilities I had paid for.

It wasn't our first visit to a hotel from a Malmaison chain and safe to say the experience didn't disappoint. The hotel is positioned very centrally and everything you need is at most 10 minutes walk away. Unlike other Malmaison hotels we have visited this one also offers spa and gym facilities which are open for the hotel guests and although we haven't had a chance to make use of them they did look nice and we will make sure to book a much longer stay to enjoy these facilities in the future. Breakfast as always didn't disappoint and is highly recommended. Same goes to the bar area which is very nicely design allowing the guests to enjoy a nice drink in the evening.

Premier Suites Birmingham offered a comfortable and affordable night's accomodation. Right near the Bullring in the Chinatown district, we were able to rent two single-bedroom suites for ourselves and our teenage children for less than a single room in London. Each room was appropriately appointed with separate bed and living/dining areas, hot showers and full security. There was no after hours service and the very limited parking spaces need to be booked in advance, but there is parking available at a nearby facility for a discounted rate. Overall it was a pleasant night's stay for a very good rate.

This hotel is a bit old, the power outlet is old, but the bathroom is super super, equivalent to another room, breakfast is very good, you can order. The hotel is on the edge of St. Martin's Church, the city center.

Wifey and I have just come back from a 6 night stay at this hotel. Our son lives in Birmingham and should have been having his graduation ceremony which was cancelled due to the Coronavirus outbreak. We had the time off booked so decided to come up and visit anyways. The hotel had only just reopened for business and there were some restrictions in place as a result of the virus. The room was a pleasant surprise, spacious, light and airy, if a tad warm as the radiator had been turned on. The bed was comfy and the bathroom nice a clean with reasonable pressure to the shower. Could have done with a little more storage but then I don't expect too many people stay for more than a couple of nights normally. We did discover that the seal round one of the double glazed windows was not very tight so, with the room being at the front of the hotel, some traffic noise filtered through into the room. Being a light sleeper this was a bit annoying for me as the local emergency services do like to use their two tones at all hours of the night. Also the guest above us must have been wearing hobnail boots round their room as we could hear every footstep as they wandered around at 3am! Restrictions also meant that the room was not serviced every day but was cleaned and the bed changed just the once but this was not a problem for us. We had booked bed and breakfast so I was rather looking forward to my full English every day so you can imagine my disappointment when breakfast was just a grab and go bag. The kitchen and bar at the hotel remain closed for the time being so breakfast consists of a bottle of water, carton of juice, croissant, blueberry muffin (the best bit), a piece of packaged cheese, a small container of jam and a piece of fruit. This is fine and full credit to the hotel for trying their best but after the third day it was a bit dull. The staff are brilliant and even showed concern when we stopped taking all the breakfast bag, thinking that my wife was not eating properly. (We did find a little coffee shop just over the railway bridge called Marshalls where bacon and sausage was available) The hotel bar was also closed which was a shame and obviously we could not get an evening meal if we had wanted one. The hotel is right next to Acocks Green station with two trains an hour into Birmingham on the current timetable. Once things are more normal I imagine there would be maybe one more as currently there is a 40 minute gap if you miss the 43 minutes past train. The hotel itself is doing what it can to survive and they told use they have an agreement with three airlines for their staff to stay at the hotel which explains the comings and goings at al hours of the day and night. I cannot fault the staff who were all lovely and nothing was ever too much trouble. We hope to come back and stay here again and look forward to seeing how it is in more normal times. This hotel is by far one of the most outstanding hotels in Birmingham city. The state of the art spa and gym most definitely contribute towards this factor; especially because of the intricate modern take to the architecture and interior design of the property itself. The service that I revived was top tier, the employees were always very polite and helpful you can truly see they are dedicated to providing memorable experiences to their guests. The hotel itself is beautifully kept with cleaner spotted 24/7 across the premises. !DEFINITELY RECOMMEND STAYING HERE!

I arrived past the check-in time, and reception was not around to receive me. Nonetheless, there was a number on the door to call, and I was talked through the process of getting in with the code, and to collect my keys. The gentleman was incredibly patient with me, which was appreciated as it was late, and I was exhausted from a long work day and it was my first time in Birmingham so I got lost finding my way from the train station to the accommodation. The apartment was incredibly spacious. The living room and kitchen made me feel right at home, and the kitchen was well equipped. There were two bedrooms and two bathrooms - I was a single traveller so I didn't need to use all that space at all. The bed I slept in was marvellously comfortable. The bathroom was spacious, the water pressure was strong, and I really have zero complains about it. Location wise, there is a mall next door, although by the time I arrived it was closed, and when I left for my work meeting at 7am the next morning it wasn't opened yet. There were also some restaurants by the waterfront around the corner. I think this is a great accommodation for families or friends travelling together.
