"If this is a four-star or three-star hotel, I would give it at least 4.5 points. But as a listed five-star hotel, it does not meet the requirements in all aspects. The facilities are old and the maintenance is not good. The introduction says that it was renovated in 2019, but it is more like the style of 2009. The TV in the room is not clear, but it is so small that you can't see it clearly when lying on the bed. One of the beds in the twin room is close to the wall, and it takes a lot of effort to cover it with a quilt. Many details of the facilities in the room are not satisfactory. The service staff is polite and courteous, but lacks the professionalism and standards of a five-star hotel. The only bright spot is that the breakfast is rich, the number of people dining is not too many, and the experience is good."

"The facilities are new and hygiene is okay, but the service is practically non-existent, and the food and executive lounge are utterly disappointing. 1️⃣ The hot pot for the dinner buffet, at 298 per person, uses reconstituted meat slices. 2️⃣ For breakfast, they actually served vegetable butter instead of real butter. 3️⃣ The bristles of the children's toothbrush fell out and got stuck in my child's teeth. 4️⃣ The executive lounge only opens at 1 PM, and at check-out, there wasn't even milk for the coffee. This lounge is pretty useless. Also, you have to go down to the first floor yourself to pick up any takeout orders."

"Visited Changshu during the Chinese New Year and stayed at the Hyatt, which is located in the city's tallest building, owned by Bosideng. The mini wontons at breakfast were delicious. We enjoyed fireworks in the evening and a lively lion dance performance in the morning, making for a festive New Year celebration."

"We hadn't expected much from the narrow road leading in, but once inside, it was a completely different world – truly, "good wine needs no bush." Opening the door was a revelation! We booked three rooms: Zhenliuju, Sishiyuan, and Liuxige, each with a different name and style. Despite being a guesthouse, the furnishings and decor were hotel-quality. Zhenliuju: Personally, I thought this was the best and most beautiful – a bathtub room. Sishiyuan: This was a one-bedroom apartment with a courtyard, another eye-catching feature. Liuxige: Although it was a one-bedroom, the room was spacious and comfortable. The room had smart voice control, a sensor-operated toilet, and incredibly comfortable bedding. The landlady was warm and friendly, providing butler-style service, always ready to help. The sounds of chickens, ducks, and geese outside, along with the lake and pavilion, added a unique charm. Overall, we were extremely satisfied, especially considering the incredibly high value for money."

"The hotel is quite new, and the facilities are decent, though there's a slight lingering smell of renovation. The location is great, right at the foot of Yu Mountain and very close to Fangta Park in the old town. The downside was that the air conditioning in the room was too hot 🥵, and the duvet was a bit too thick, so I didn't sleep well. However, at checkout, the front desk lady Jennie gave me a small gift, which was a thoughtful touch."
Yushan Hotel
"This is an old hotel that opened in the 1980s. It used to be a state-owned guesthouse (of course it was later restructured). It is located at the foot of Yushan Mountain, opposite the Tomb of Yanzi. It used to be high-end, but now it is not expensive. I tried it. The old decoration from more than ten years ago is a bit outdated, and the service and reception are a bit Buddhist, especially because the outdoor temperature is 25°+ at noon and the room is a bit stuffy with the sun shining from the west. I found that the air conditioner could not be used and thought it was broken. I contacted the hotel and they said that they had uniformly disabled air conditioning, saying that it was not necessary to turn on the air conditioner in this season. They didn't even provide ventilation function. So I was stuffy in the room with my children for the whole afternoon, and it didn't get cooler until the sun went down in the evening. This is the first time I encountered a big hotel that does not allow guests to use air conditioning. There are also many damaged decorations or old facilities that have not been repaired. Even the towels are spread out and they continue to use them. It's really frugal. Maybe they lie down to save costs, or maybe it's because they mainly do business or group reception and don't pay much attention to personal user experience. There is a swimming pool and gym in the annex building, but you cannot enter directly by swiping the room card. Guests have to go to the front desk to exchange for a paper ticket before coming back. There were no towels or tea inside, so I had to run back to the room in despair to take a shower. The user experience is quite different from that of new hotels outside."
Green Eastern Hotel (Guli Ancient Town Branch, Southeast Development Zone, Changshu)
"I booked a hotel near my company for a business trip. It's located in the Southeast Development Zone and easy to find, with many food stalls downstairs creating a lively atmosphere. The newly opened hotel was very clean and comfortable, a great stay, and the service was quite good. It had a washing machine, gym, and breakfast restaurant. However, the room was across the street from a factory that operates 24/7, so there was constant noise all night. Closing the windows improved the noise somewhat, but it was still a bit noisy. Those who prefer to sleep with their windows open should consider this carefully. I contacted the front desk, but there were no rooms available for me to change. The hallway on the 6th floor had a strong smell of cooking oil, probably because the kitchen and dining area are on that floor. The room itself was clean and odor-free. There were many male workers near the food stalls downstairs, and a few of them gave me, a girl, rather unfriendly looks. I was a little scared staying alone, so I wouldn't recommend girls stay alone; try to find someone to share with."
