"We had a very pleasant stay at the Paris Hôtel in Chau Doc, despite it being a simple establishment that probably qualifies as a two-star. The rooms were clean, with new sheets and a comfortable mattress. There were a few details that could be improved (a little dust under the bed and on the shelves), but overall, everything was very tidy. I noticed they're making several updates, such as the front door and the mattresses, a clear sign of care and a desire to improve. The real strength is the staff: incredibly helpful and honest. They helped us book the forest tour, including tickets, by contacting the visitor center reception directly. They rented us a scooter in perfect condition and didn't charge us anything extra, even when we were in a rush and didn't have time to refuel. They arranged our transfer to Can Tho, including bus reservations (with tickets already in hand!) and the shuttle bus to the station. The location is excellent for exploring the city's main attractions on foot. I also highly recommend renting a scooter and getting lost in the narrow streets to the north: rice paddies, coconut palms, canals, and small bridges create an unforgettable landscape. The staff were extremely friendly and spoke good English, which made everything even easier. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended."

"Little Saigon Hostel surprised me in many ways. Firstly, I came expecting a hostel, and found a hotel with various different rooms for sale, a restaurant, and some other facilities. The staff are friendly and some speak better English than others, but I think it depends on who’s around during your stay. They’re all very helpful and can arrange excursions, taxis, and outbound bus/boat services. The rooms, while outdated and soon due a refurb, are functional and clean enough. The shower worked great with hot water, and the air con was cold. Location is good enough but not central."

"We stayed only one night but we did not feel comfortable. The sheets in the room were not really clean, soap was placed only in the shower, air conditioning worked but made such a weird noise. Sleep was not good because of the noise coming from the street. Poor breakfast, a la carte. Worst coffe I have had in Vietnam"

And the lady at the reception was really kind. I also booked a Pungchan bus to Canter, called a minibus, and I was able to come to the Zhoudok Bus Terminal for free."

"This is a beautiful small hotel, located on the edge of town in Chau Doc, so it's refreshingly quiet, but within easy walking distance to many little cafes and restaurants. We had a simply gorgeous double room with a balcony on the fourth floor overlooking the rice fields and Sam Mountain. The decor is really very tasteful, and the staff are absolutely wonderful. We had great food in the restaurant. What stood out for us were the amazing and very peaceful views, and the absolute kindness we were shown by the hotel staff and the owner. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. We loved Chau Doc, but The Little Saigon Homestay made our visit very special to us. It's really a charming place with beautiful people who made our stay exceptional. The staff were also very helpful in organising tours for us which really made a difference too. Nothing was too much effort for them. Thank you Little Saigon Homestay! We were very sad to leave. xx"
