"I had a wonderful stay at Como Hills Hotel! The location is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by nature and offering breathtaking views of the lake and the mountains. The rooms are spotless, modern, and very comfortable, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful — always smiling and ready to assist with anything. Breakfast was delicious, with a great selection of fresh local products. The whole atmosphere of the hotel is peaceful and welcoming — perfect for a quiet getaway or a romantic trip. I would definitely love to come back and highly recommend Como Hills Hotel to anyone visiting Lake Como! 🌿✨"

"Reception staff Samiya was brilliant - very accommodating and gave us a few travel tips. The guy at the bar from Sri Lanka was brilliant aswell. Hotel includes a car park on the rear. Location is 30 mins drive from Como itself via car, however roads are a nightmare to drive on around the area. Not much to do around the area itself, you need a car to stay here. Rooms - adequate. Air con needs to be controlled via reception. You call them and tell them what temp you want. Rooms have shampoo / shower gel / hand wash / hair dryer. Breakfast is not great, very basic. You get patisserie and bread. In the restaurant area there are lots of FLIES!!! The hotel could put nets over the food to make this a little better or put AC on in the restaurant area to make the fly situation a little better."

This level of service goes far beyond what you would normally expect from a four-star hotel. The location could not be better. The hotel sits directly on Piazza Cavour, one of Como’s most charming squares, with the entire historic center right behind you. Shops, cafés, elegant streets and the lakeside promenade are all just steps away. The Navigazione Laghi ferry terminal is right next to the hotel, making it incredibly easy to explore Lake Como by boat. Several of Como’s most iconic landmarks are also close by. The Duomo di Como is only a short walk away. The Monumento ai Caduti and the Tempio Voltiano are both nearby along the lakeside, and a pleasant stroll brings you to Villa Olmo, one of the city’s grandest villas. For panoramic views over the lake and mountains, the Funicolare Como–Brunate is also within easy reach. I stayed in one of the renovated rooms, which was spotless and cleaned thoroughly every day. The room felt modern, fresh and comfortable, and the view over Lake Como was absolutely unforgettable. Waking up to that scenery is an experience in itself. The hotel’s restaurant, Imbarcadero, is another highlight. The food is excellent, prepared with great care and top-quality ingredients. It is the perfect place to enjoy a meal while taking in the atmosphere of Como. Hotel Metropole Suisse is not just any four-star hotel. It exceeds expectations in every way: hospitality, comfort, cleanliness, location and quality. The staff alone elevate the entire experience to a higher level. The bathroom was just as impressive as the rest of the room. It was spotless, freshly cleaned every day and maintained with great attention to detail. Everything felt hygienic, modern and perfectly taken care of, which added even more comfort to the stay. What truly sets Hotel Metropole Suisse apart, however, is the staff. They are not just friendly , they are exceptional. Every interaction feels genuine, warm and sincere. Whether you need recommendations, assistance or simply a friendly conversation, the team is always ready to help with a smile. Their professionalism, kindness and dedication elevate the entire stay to a level that goes far beyond what you would expect from a four-star hotel. The staff are the heart of this hotel, and they make the experience unforgettable."

"Otele giriş işlemlerimizi yapan ve odamıza götüren bayan çok kibardı. Bunun dışında, büyük bir hayal kırıklığı! Yer 1 yıldızlıydı! 2 yataklı bir oda kiraladım, ancak ikinci yatak YATAK DEĞİLDİ. Sert ahşap üzerine 3 inçlik köpük yerleştirilmiş çok sert bir kanepeydi. Diğer yatak da son derece sertti, hiç yastık yoktu. Sırtıma ince bir yastık koymama rağmen, bu kadar sert yüzeylerde uyumak çok zordu! Bütün gece uyandım ve sırtım çok ağrıyordu. Banyo küf kokuyordu ve duş giderinden lağım gazı geliyordu çünkü duş düzgün akmıyordu. Duşta su birikmişti, biz de duşu hızlıca aldık, böylece su yere dökülmesin. Ayrıca GERÇEK BİR KLİMA da YOKTU! Bize klimanın "dün gece çalışmayı bıraktığını" söyledi, bu tamamen yalan. Odaya geçici, bağımsız klima üniteleri getirmişlerdi; bu ünitelerin pencereden dışarıya temiz hava çekmek için büyük bir hortumu vardı, bu da pencerenin gece boyunca 7/24 açık olduğu anlamına geliyordu. Gök gürültüsünü, yağmuru, polis sirenlerini, arabaları ve dışarıdan gelen tüm sesleri duyuyorduk. Ayrıca odada bir de ayaklı vantilatör vardı. Odadaki "geçici klima ünitesine" rağmen kız kardeşim bütün gece sıcaktan bunaldı, çünkü klimanın çalışması için pencerenin bütün gece açık kalması gerekiyordu. Otelin içindeki tadilatlar çok özensiz ve deneyimsizce yapılmıştı. Klimanın çalışmadığını veya duş tesisatının tamamen tıkanmış olduğunu bilseydim bu oteli asla kiralamazdım! Duş oldukça iğrençti! Bu sabah diğer odalara baktım ve hepsinde "geçici klima üniteleri" vardı. Klima uzun zamandır çalışmıyor ve havalandırma ve termostat olmadığı için hiç klima olup olmadığından şüpheliyim! Oda fiyatına kahvaltı da dahildi ve kahvaltımızı başka bir yerden almak için 3 dakika yürümemiz gerektiği söylendi!"

Palazzo San Gottardo Lake Como, a Radisson Collection
"I had booked four or five hotels across Italy for the same trip and around the same dates. Due to an extremely serious and deeply personal situation beyond our control, we were unable to travel. Every other hotel showed basic humanity and professionalism by offering either a full refund, a partial refund, a credit, or flexible dates. Palazzo San Gortardo was the only hotel that refused every possible solution. No refund, no partial refund, no credit, and no option to move the stay. Their complete lack of empathy was shocking. I called the hotel repeatedly and also contacted Radisson directly, yet neither offered any meaningful support or took responsibility. Even worse, once the hotel staff recognised my surname and reservation, my calls were cut. The General Manager, David, was dismissive, unhelpful, and completely incapable of handling a genuine customer concern professionally. I regularly stay at high-end resorts and book with reputable luxury hotel groups, so I understand what proper hospitality and customer service should look like. What I experienced here was the complete opposite. The lack of service from the hotel was appalling, but the fact that Radisson itself was equally unwilling to help made the situation even worse. After this experience, I will categorically never book Palazzo San Gortardo again, and I would be extremely reluctant to ever book another Radisson property. This was, without question, one of the worst hotel-service experiences I have ever encountered."

"Wow… Villa Liberty is nestled about 15 mins up the road from Como and has stunning views of the city. From arrival the owner Elisabetta was so welcoming and friendly. My friend and I stayed in room 22 which has stunning views and a balcony with seating. The room was immaculately clean, modern with very comfy beds. Elisabetta and her staff are exceptional at customer service. They helped to organised our 3 day stay from taxi’s to restaurant bookings to e-bike hire… they simply couldn’t do enough for us and really made our trip so a big thank you to them. If you’re looking for a place to stay that does a gorgeous continental breakfast, is modern, clean and offers a first class service in Como, then stay here. "
