"After walking nervously for several minutes from the train station and seeing this brand-new youth hostel, I was extremely happy. The rooms, public areas, etc. were all much more pleasant. The front desk service was very friendly and efficient, especially the girl named Francesca and the other girl with glasses, but I didn't know her name. In summary, this is definitely a place worth staying. The only suggestion that needs to be given is that the bed numbers are not very obvious and are a bit difficult to find. The shower room lacks hooks for hanging clothes, which is a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the shower door is only half open, which makes it easy for water to splash out, and I think this can easily lead to damage to public hygiene. However, in any case, this brand-new youth hostel definitely offers an excellent experience!"

"I really appreciate the service of this hotel. I left an IPAD in the room and my friend left a watch. When we contacted the hotel, they responded quickly. "Good hotel for 2 nights in Naples. The location is close to Napoli Centrale train station and close to some of the main shops and restaurants. However, the location outside the hotel is dirty and loud, with litter and rubbish all over the street. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and I felt looked after. The room itself is basic but perfectly fine for a few nights. The bed was comfy, however more pillows were needed! The shower is powerful but it takes a minute to warm up. For the price I paid, I was happy with the facilities and service."

"Hotel room is very tiny but clean. Bathroom hot shower was good. Breakfast was good and service was excellent, particularly Maria. Quick check in & check out. Liked complimentary mini bar items and safety deposit box was bonus. I wanted to check out 12 noon instead of 11am because my train was delayed for strike and the receptionist (man, didn’t ask his name) confirmed me that it would be possible. However, on the morning after breakfast on the check out day, while reconfirming, the reception told me “NO”, which surprised me. Anyway, it’s not a big deal and they allowed me leave my luggages at hotel store for an hour or so. Except this, everything was good. The elevator is small in size but it accommodates 2 persons with one luggage."

"We stayed 2 nights at this hotel. Location was very good. Ver close to Napoli Centrale train station. Plenty of restaurants near hotel. We had two single beds joined together. One of the mattress was not so comfortable probably because of wear and tear, otherwise our stay would be more enjoyable. Shower area floor and toilet floor is on the same level making it prone for water to seep from the shower area to the toilet area and as such we need to sacrifice one bath towel to dry the toilet floor."

"We recently stayed at the Hotel Royal Continental in Naples from January 7 to January 9, 2025, and our overall experience was very positive. Location & Safety The hotel is located in one of the safest and most touristic areas of Naples, right on Via Partenope, facing the sea and Castel dell'Ovo. Naples, as a city, is still evolving into a true tourist destination. The city is making significant improvements to attract more visitors, and you can feel that transition happening. This particular area where the hotel is located feels very safe, thanks to continuous police presence. We saw officers patrolling on foot and by car at all hours of the day and night, which gave us peace of mind. The neighborhood is also filled with excellent restaurants offering a wide range of quality food at reasonable prices. Of course, not every place is great, but there are many good options within walking distance. Additionally, the historic center and most major tourist attractions are within walking distance from the hotel. You can take a leisurely stroll and reach the main sights in under an hour. Room & Comfort The seafront location of the hotel is outstanding. The view from our room was beautiful, and we loved opening the panoramic window to let in the fresh sea breeze in the morning and evening. It’s a wonderful way to start and end your day. The room itself was comfortable and well-maintained, with a level of luxury comparable to a 4-star European hotel. However, it's important to note that European hotel standards are different from those in the U.S.. By American standards, this hotel would be closer to a 3-star property. Despite this, the housekeeping staff did a great job cleaning the room daily and replacing towels. Service & Atmosphere The hotel staff is professional and polite, but interactions felt a bit robotic and mechanical. It seemed like they were following routines rather than making genuine connections with guests. That said, room cleanliness was good, and we appreciated the attention to detail in that regard. One thing that stood out is the hotel’s nostalgic 1950s vibe. The hotel seems proud of its mid-century charm, which they promote through signs and advertisements around the property. If you enjoy that type of retro atmosphere, you’ll appreciate this hotel. Breakfast Experience The breakfast at the hotel was excellent. The dining room overlooks the sea, which makes for a lovely breakfast setting. There are several breakfast stations with a wide variety of options, and the food quality was great. Waiters clean the tables and take care of guests throughout breakfast service, which adds a nice touch. We were very satisfied with the overall breakfast experience. Final Thoughts Overall, Hotel Royal Continental is a solid choice for staying in Naples. The location is its biggest strength, offering stunning views, proximity to restaurants, and easy access to the historic center. it provides a comfortable and memorable experience with beautiful sea views and a nostalgic atmosphere. Would we stay here again? Yes, for the views, location, and breakfast!"
