"Hotel location is in the heart of shopping area. Famous landmarks are within few minutes - even Canada Place is just 15minutes walk straight. If you will come from Pacific Central Station - this is just less than USD10 taxi to reach the hotel. Staff are very welcoming. Room is perfect for us - i like the wash room very spacious, towels are well arranged in rack, most importantly it has wooden floors where it's not too cold for the feet. Beds are comfortable to sleep on and room is very quiet. I highly recommend this place - eateries are within 5 mins walk (Mcdonalds, Kfc, Jollibee, Thai, Tacos, Pizza, bars, etc. Stay here is you want best shopping stores and can find anything here"

"Starting in Hanoi we arrived at Vancouver airport at 19:00 and would fly the next day at 14:00 to Mexico.
Perfect schedule for a night in the hotel. The Check inn was fast. We got an offer for diner and breakfast. But not that hungry so we decided to skip it and eat some simple breakfast on the airport itself the next day. If you are hungry and have time, it looked like a nice deal. Look up the deal before you go so you know if you want it.
The room was clean, big and had good wifi. The location is perfect, you get your bags and walk to the hotel. No need for transport or go into the cold.
Only the room felt cold. We put the heater on 26 Celcius, but i think it just got 18 celcius. That is cold when you stayed in Asian heat for a few months.
But we had a perfect sleep in a big warm bed and started the rest of our journey refreshed."

"I booked for 3 nights stay at the hotel. On my first night, I checked into my room which was facing Beatty Street overlooking the BC Place, there was a 2-day concert on going until 11pm. I rang the front desk and asked for room swap, unfortunately all rooms were fully booked at the time. The next day I received a call from the front desk and they were happy to offer another room for my remaining stay, away from the main street where the concert was held. Overall great hotel location, right in the middle of city centre with lots restaurants and shops."

"To be honest I don't really understand where those bad reviews came from. The location is very convenient, 10 mins drive from the airport and free airport shuttle is running every 30mins till 11:30pm (I took the last bus). Hotel is dated but it is very well maintained and clean. Theres also a small grocery store and a very nice little Japanese restaurant nearby - bonus point. Receptionists were helpful and friendly. Happy hour at the restaurant was such a good deal too."

"I have stayed here since 2012 with my flights into YVR and crossing the US border next day, both north and south. The shuttle is a godsend after a long flight, complimentary phone to hotel from airport, short drive to hotel, done deal. The reverse just as convenient.
Having breakfast available from 5:30am wonderful as well. May be an alternative to sugary cereal but there’s bagels and waffles, yoghurt toast and jam.
Coffee and tea.
The rooms are clean. The hotel ready for an update biggest complaint - DITCH THE COFFEE BAG COFFEE MAKERSin the rooms. What drizzles out of them is disgusting.
Great excitement this trip. Hotel fire alarm went off. Richmond’s finest turned up and it was declared a false alarm. Got to chat with other guest. Exciting start to the day.
I’m still a fan."

We arrive far earlier than the expected check in time but the staff still being helpful to get us a room with good views, and the room is tidy.

"Very poor staff, not helpful at all. We booked two nights first, then had to move to our up graded unit which cost three times the amount, full apartment, but have to pay for everything extra, stove, pots, microwave, kettle, why tell people you have booked a kitchen when nothing works until you pay for every item extra. The room is not an upgrade, it is actually the same as the cheaper one.
We had to wait and put all our belongings into storage or 4 and half hrs, to move to our up graded unit, because the manager told us there were no units available. Through trip. Com there are units available right away, even the day before or after. Totally unprofessional, we finally got into our unit 4:45pm when had other units available, or at least have that unit cleaned first, when we’re just changing rooms. Very bad service, when do you have to write a good review before you move into your room. That should be illegal."

"Das Hotel ist sehr zental gelegen. In der unmittelbaren Umgebung befinden sich zahlreiche Shops namenhafter Luxusmarken sowie Restaurants und ein gutes Shoppingcenter. Wir hatten ein Fairmont Gold Zimmer mit extra Concierge Service und Zugang zur Lounge. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, ganz wunderbar, und das Zimmer in Ordung, wenn auch etwas abgewohnt sowie hellhörig zur Straße und zum Flur hin. Die Türen der anderen Zimmer fallen mit einen Knall ins Schloss, sodass man häufiger nachts und morgens unsanft geweckt wird. Die inkludierten Speisen und angeboteten Getränke in der Lounge hatten eine hohe Qualität. Allerdings wurde bereits 15 min. vor Ende der Frühstückszeit angesagt, dass man das Buffet gleich schließen würde, was ich als sehr ungemütlich empfand. Auch wenn man insgesamt bemüht war, uns einen angenehmen Aufenthalt zu bereiten, erscheint der Preis für das Zimmer doch etwas zu hoch. Das Publikum in der Lounge war zudem teilweise sehr speziell und musterte uns täglich ;-)…Side eye."

AAmandaWThe hotel is conveniently located and the front desk is helpful. It was however no good to have a stranger knocking on my door asking to check the smoke alarm in my room without prior notice from the hotel. I had let the unaccompanied stranger in at my own risk (single woman) which was bad.
Feedback to the uniform staff in the hotel and was told nothing can be done which is disappointing.

MMisafir KullanıcıMy husband and I stayed overnight in Vancouver to see a hockey game. The hotel is close to many amazing restaurants within walking distance. It is also close to Rogers Stadium so that is always nice so we don’t have to pay for parking or cabs.
The staff were amazing and accommodating as we’d asked to have a room with a balcony, which they were able to do. We had dinner out but had brunch in their restaurant which is on the 5th floor. The atmosphere was so magical, all decorated for Christmas but it was also warm and inviting.
For whatever reason (maybe bcause it was a Tuesday morning) we were the only ones in the restaurant until half way through our brunch, then only one other couple shared the dining room with us. The food was INCREDIBLE and our server Lee was the sweetest most kind person I’ve ever meet. After our brunch we sat by the fireplace with our coffees, relaxing before our 12 pm checkout. It felt like we were in a Manhattan brownstone. We will definitely be coming back in the future and certainly will recommend this hotel to our friends. Staying at LHermitage was an oasis in the midst of a very hard 3 weeks of me just having lost my mom. Thank you 🎄❤️

We told the front desk to help us to book a big taxi for 4 people to take us to airport in early morning, but the staff didn't mark it properly, when we double checked the 2nd time, the order wasn't there and turned out a small taxi came and they needed to reorder a big one for us.
They mixed up the room charge, it was remarked to pay at the hotel, first time the staff gave us the wrong info that both rooms were already charged to my card. Then the next day, they said it was not charged yet, we told them we paid by different credit cards, but when we checked out, they charged both rooms on my card without my permission. Finally, they cancelled 1 room payment and charge it back to my friend's card. This is very unprofessional and I haven't received my statement yet and not sure if they really cancelled the wrong payment.

MMisafir KullanıcıWe stayed here for 5 nights. They are in a great, if not the best, location in Vancouver. Next to Waterfront station where they have skytrain, seabus, buses and train. Also literally at Canada Place where they have free shuttle to Grouse Mountain and Capilano bridge. You can see the cruise, seaplane and helicopter from your room too. Minutes of walk to Gastown to see the stream clock.
Best thing is, when you buy a fridge magnet of Vancouver, the hotel is part of the iconic building.
Staffs are really friendly too, our room is always clean.
If I have a complain, I'm just not very used to housekeeper's trolleys being 24/7 on appearance at the corridor of a 5-star hotel.
Other than that, it's a near perfect stay. Loving the view from our room too.

DDevopriya TirthoHad a great stay at the Sandman Hotel in downtown Vancouver! I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a room with a king-sized bed, which made the stay extra comfortable. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of downtown with easy access to shops, restaurants, and major attractions. It was super convenient to walk around and explore the city.
The staff were friendly, professional, and quick to help with any questions I had. The room was clean, modern, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay.
The only downside was the $25 per day charge for parking, which I wasn’t expecting. It’s something to keep in mind if you’re bringing a vehicle. That aside, everything else was smooth and enjoyable.
If you’re looking for a centrally located hotel with comfortable rooms and great service, the Sandman is definitely worth considering. I’d happily stay here again!
