Our three-day journey through Shangri-La became truly unforgettable thanks to our stay at Qingyu·Jianshan Guipu Manor. It was far more than a place to sleep—it felt like a comforting home tucked away in a breathtaking, remote landscape. What stood out most was the genuine care shown by our host, Xiao Ge Ge. From picking us up at the railway station to checking in on us throughout our stay, his kindness never wavered. The moment that touched us most came when two members of our group fell ill due to the dramatic temperature changes. When we asked about the nearest pharmacy, he immediately searched the front desk and handed us medication. That simple, thoughtful gesture eased our worries instantly. It felt like being cared for by family, even though we were far from home. The manor’s location is perfect for anyone seeking an immersive Shangri-La experience. Just a short walk away lies a beautiful open field where horses roam freely beneath vibrant, fluttering prayer flags. The sunset photos we captured there were magical. The quiet surroundings, away from the busier parts of town, offered exactly the serenity we were hoping for. One thing to be mindful of is the sharp temperature drop between afternoon and evening. While the afternoons were sunny and pleasantly warm, mornings and nights were surprisingly cold. Layered clothing is essential. We suspect our own bout of sickness came from underestimating this chill. Adding to the charm were the manor’s friendly residents—a dog and a lamb. They greeted us every time we returned, bringing a cheerful, homely vibe that made the place feel even more welcoming. Shangri-La Qingyu·Jianshan Guipu Manor offers more than accommodation—it delivers an experience steeped in ******* warmth, natural beauty, and heartfelt hospitality. Xiao Ge Ge’s attentive care during our moment of need turned what could have been a stressful setback into a memory of genuine human kindness. Found out from owner’s mum that it is newly opened. The room is spacious and could see that the amenities and furnishing are of good quality and tasteful. The heated flooring, humidifier, heating in the bathroom and oxygen machine were thoughtful especially for us who were new to the high altitude environment. Had complimentary transport from the train station and to the airport too. The mixian cooked upon order and self-service side dishes (stir-fried vegetables, steamed corn, sweet potato, dumpling, seasoning etc) were prepared by the owner’s mum. The free flow brown sugar ginger tea was really good especially in the cold weather. The owner’s mum was kind and friendly, and constantly reminded to stay warm and hydrated to prevent altitude sickness. Had taken up the Tusi feast through the hotel and had complimentary transport to and fro the restaurant by the hotel, and we managed to see the famous “Song Hye Kyo” at the Tusi feast! Great view of the Guishan Park from the rooftop too. There is an elevator but do note that there is one flight of stairs to climb to get to the rooftop.

I initially booked this hotel hoping to experience snow, but unfortunately it wasn’t our luck this year. Even so I was still extremely excited because the view here is absolutely breathtaking. The natural scenery is so beautiful and peaceful , truly a joy to wake up to every day. One of the highlights of this hotel is the surrounding area which is full of animals such as sheep, alpacas, horses, huskies and ducks. We could interact and play with them which made the stay even more special and memorable. The room was very beautiful, comfortable and most importantly very clean. On top of that we felt truly welcomed by all the staff. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Ah Yang, front desk and the rest of the team 🫶🏻 even though we couldn’t speak Mandarin, it was never an issue. They went out of their way to assist us and made us feel comfortable throughout our stay. I would definitely come back here again, and hopefully next time we’ll be lucky enough to see the snow 😊

超驚喜的寶藏民宿體驗，下次來還選這裏！ 這次入住真的被民宿老闆的熱情徹底圈粉！我是被我姐強烈推薦的這家在獨克宗古城內的民宿，民宿老闆卓瑪姐從預訂時就主動詢問我們的行程，到店後不僅詳細講解了香格里拉超實用的旅遊攻略，連小眾打卡點和避坑指南都傾囊相授，比做的攻略還靠譜。 最暖心的是剛放下行李，老闆就端來了熱乎乎的氂牛奶，喝完整個人都暖乎乎的，瞬間驅散了旅途疲憊。民宿裏的設施更是驚喜，全屋都是智能家居，燈光、窗簾語音就能控制，操作起來特別方便；而且傢俱全是嶄新的，質感很好，看得出來老闆在裝修上花了不少心思，住起來既舒適又有科技感。 推窗見景還超貼心，這家民宿直接封神！ 這次住的房間真的把“景觀房”的優勢拉滿了，清晨拉開厚重的遮光簾，眼前的畫面瞬間讓人屏住呼吸：正對面就是鬱鬱葱葱的龜山公園，山頂的大轉經筒清晰得彷彿觸手可及，尤其是傍晚時分，夕陽灑在經筒上泛着暖光，連公園裡轉經的人羣都能隱約看見，不用擠在觀景台人堆裏，在房間裏就能靜賞這份獨特的景緻，隨手拍的照片發朋友圈被問爆地址。 更讓人感動的是民宿的細節貼心。考慮到當地的氣候和海拔，房間裏提前準備好了製氧機，老闆特意過來教我們使用方法，夜裡偶爾有點缺氧時打開，很快就舒服多了；衣櫃裏還掛着免費提供的厚實羽絨服，款式簡潔乾淨，完全不用自己揹着厚重衣物佔行李，出門逛公園、看經筒時穿上，防風又保暖。這份把客人需求想到前頭的用心，比風景更讓人覺得温暖，真心推薦給來這邊的朋友！ 退房離開時，老闆還特意準備了當地藏族特色禮物金剛結送我和女朋友，説是一點心意，這份用心真的太戳人了。全程體驗下來，不僅住得舒服，更像在朋友家做客一樣自在，已經推薦給計劃來玩的朋友，下次再來一定還選這裏！

A Rustic Paradise with 100/10 Service! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our only regret about staying at this homestay is that we only booked for one night, we truly wish we could have stayed much longer! From start to finish, this was a 10/10 experience defined by genuine kindness and a stunning ”rustic farm” atmosphere. The service is beyond exceptional! A massive shoutout to Xiao Gong, who was incredible from the very beginning. She coordinated with us via WeChat long before we even arrived, constantly checking in to ensure we were okay. Her English is excellent, and she went above and beyond to accommodate every single request with a smile. We also want to give a special thank you to Ting Zeng, Gong Fu Yan, Ba Song, and Da Dong. This team is charming, professional, and extremely attentive. They handled our bags, guided us through the local customs, and their constant smiles made us feel so welcome. They truly give their all to ensure guests are happy. We were also thrilled to be upgraded to a room with an even more spectacular view! The attention to detail is impressive: The bed was perfect, and the heated floors were a lifesaver. They provide oxygen supplies, high-quality towels, humidifier, mini fridge, hair dryers, and full toiletry kits. The staff also took the time and extra mile to explain how to use all the equipment in detail, which was so helpful. Overall, the property itself is a dream, a beautiful farm courtyard filled with horses, sheep, and yaks. It feels authentic and peaceful. On top of the gorgeous setting, the complimentary services were the cherry on top: Professional photography / Traditional tea sessions and afternoon coffee / A delicious breakfast & A thoughtful goodbye goody bag! This place has heart and soul. If you are visiting Shangri-La, do yourself a favor and book more than two days here. We will definitely be back! Our stay here made our first visit to Shangri-La truly memorable! As the weather is really cold, the room (equipped with heated floor, humidifier, and a very comfy bed!) kept our bodies warm. In the morning, you get to wake up to an amazing view of nature. The little furry families made up of a mother cat and her adorable 3 kittens, plus a cute young Westie 酥油, brought so much delight to our stay. The team is lean but extremely hospitable, welcoming, and kind. She always made sure we had piping hot food, and her bubbliness brightened our mornings. The ingredients used were of good quality, as with everything else in our room. As we didn’t manage to hail Didi during this period, the owner/host, a local, drove us to the different places of interest we wanted to visit (at a fair rate!). He was resourceful in helping us get the best deals and avoid tourist traps. As a local, he was knowledgeable about Shangri-La and the Zangzu culture, and shared many interesting facts. He’s also a singer and humorous, so the car rides were enjoyable. The place was beyond expectations! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful home-away-from-home retreat, the warmth of the place really kept our body and soul warm!

Enjoy my stay at Shangrila Skyland tent, wonderful view surrounded by natural and animal in the farm, the chalet is near to the famous cafe Heidou. Easy to get Didi although is far away from the city. Breakfast was good and there is restaurant you can order for lunch / dinner. The hotel also provide pick up/ drop off at train station. If you plan to stay in the room during the day there will be disturbance from the cafe visitors. Cafe visitors will take pic infront of your chalet, talking and shouting, less privacy during the day, however if you have full itinerary, go out in morning return night shouldn’t be any concerns. Overall still enjoyable stay

We had a very pleasant stay overall. The room was exactly as described: very clean, surprisingly large, and the floor heating in the main area was a welcome feature. The location is truly excellent—easy to find, a short distance from the ancient city, and incredibly convenient for taxis. Having a supermarket right downstairs and access to fantastic local restaurants was a huge plus. The only area for improvement is the bathroom temperature. As there is no heating element, it became quite cold during the night, which was a bit uncomfortable. Despite this, we would happily return for the great value and ideal location.
