The good things about the hotel were its location. Close to restaurants, a famous Banksy or two, lots of shops and theatres. Is a beautiful hotel with nice places to sit and meet if you are in a group. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The car park, despite being £17 per night, was actually better value than other options nearby and we were able to leave the car there until midnight on the day of check out. The negatives were that we were not able to get a reservation in the hotel restaurant which we found unusual. We had a group from 8 to 80 so we were worried about walking yet had no choice as they couldn’t fit us in. They were also impossible to contact as they didn’t reply to messages. There was chaos at check in with guests waiting for up to an hour to check in and get their keys. There were long queues for over two hours from 3pm to at least 5pm. Their excuse was that the hotel was fully booked but it’s not as though they didn’t know all those people were coming! They should have been prepared and there were a lot of unhappy customers that Saturday evening. Some front desk staff were flustered and sorry but couldn’t do anything about it and some didn’t seem to care. We were there a bit earlier so they could have got the process started but they wouldn’t so we had to queue twice. We were quite fed up. Even after all that and me paying £68 for 4 cars I had to keep repeating that I had already paid that and the next day. Something in the system needs to change as it’s frustrating to spend 2 hours checking in when you are only staying for 1 night. Perhaps if they are expecting so many people again they could put out tea and coffee in the tea lounge with a screen to enter and pay for your car and then have some kind of ticket system where you are called to the desk when it’s your turn. It certainly needs better management as it’s not the welcome you expect when you’ve paid to stay in the Marriott brand.

Arrived late in the evening due to a delayed flight but this presented no problem. Check in was quick with efficient and attentive reception staff and a really comfortable room.

I really appreciate the room size because it was big and was very clean and comfortable. The service was excellent at all. The only issue was the TV because we can’t used it and there was not a YouTube. Hope next time will be better. Love you guys

Very nice lady at front desk when I arrived, very polite and helpful. I was disappointed then later to hear her male colleague who was obviously working the night shift be rather rude to another guest who was simply asking if the WiFi was going to be fixed. ”No idea, nobody around who will know” was the attitude. Room was a great size - a little tired with nasty stained carpet, sellotaped cracks in the flooring in bathroom and some rather gross stains on the bed valance. Mattress was pretty knackered too. Oh, and the TV didn't work - no power. Breakfast was fine with a nice selection of good food and the staff were lovely. Overall though it sounds bad, it was all fine really. Great that the car parking was included, amazing position and I'll no doubt stay again.

The rooms were lovely ,nice and clean ,the beds were very hard but it was OK for 2 night.air con in rooms witch is really nice in this weather . The hotel is a really posh hotel ,the reception and bar is a very smart looking place ,the staff are lovely and polite.

After hours of travelling from abroad we needed somewhere that was close to the railway station to travel home the following day .on arrival very late at night from checking in to being in our room was within 5 minutes. Room very clean tea and coffee amenities the bed fabulous couldn't fault it very clean and comfortable as was the room air con was great due to traveling and being tired we felt very cold that was soon corrected with the heating of the air con traveling early meant we were too early for breakfast although we were offered breakfast to take away with us staff cheerful and friendly .highly recommend

15 mins walk to the Clifton Suspension Bridge. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel, to go to the city. Ample parking space for GBP 9.

Hotel was good location, and was check in straight away . Was easy to check out aswell

Amazing location near clifton suspension bridge, nice area and shops nearby, clean room with all amenities included. Overall very happy with our stay and would definitely come back if going to bristol
