"The receptionist was very friendly and helpful.
Room very clean and tidy.
However we arrived for breakfast which was included and why we booked this hotel to find that the chef had called in sick so there was only a basic continental breakfast . The staff were unhelpful and slow at breakfast . My husband had an orange for breakfast and I had a piece of toast !! Not what we paid for ."

"Very nice room, not accessible as we had booked but we did arrive very late. Reception were very kind and brought us some extra pillows to help support my husband as he had large tumour on his leg. Breakfast was very good, everything we needed. Some nice touches including fresh fruit and yoghurt and some fruit smoothies. Very happy with our stay."

"Very lovely hotel and good location for commuters. Price is also reasonable and staff are friendl. The two things I found was not very well explained or covered in the website are
1. car park - you have to pay extra £5 during check in to cover the parking fee Even so, there was no car parking spaces. I would've expect this to be included in the price or documented somewhere so that people know what to expect.
2. There is no WiFi on some part of the hotel. I spoke to staff to ask for wifi access due to poor network around the hotel. I was told the wifi was damaged by thunder. I was gobsmacked, couldn't believe it. I genuinely thought he was joking until he said it happened few weeks ago and still not fixed by BT. So I stayed the whole time with no wifi, I had to walk around to get a good network on my phone to contact people or access my email/ whatsapp.
Although the stay went well, these are key things that play a crucial part of staying in a hotel. Both of these let the hotel down."

"Very nice lady at front desk when I arrived, very polite and helpful.
I was disappointed then later to hear her male colleague who was obviously working the night shift be rather rude to another guest who was simply asking if the WiFi was going to be fixed. ”No idea, nobody around who will know” was the attitude.
Room was a great size - a little tired with nasty stained carpet, sellotaped cracks in the flooring in bathroom and some rather gross stains on the bed valance. Mattress was pretty knackered too. Oh, and the TV didn't work - no power. Breakfast was fine with a nice selection of good food and the staff were lovely.
Overall though it sounds bad, it was all fine really. Great that the car parking was included, amazing position and I'll no doubt stay again."

"Giriş işlemleriyle başlayarak her şey çok sorunsuz ve zahmetsizdi. İstediğimiz gibi üst katta bir oda verildi. Odanın manzarası oldukça iyiydi diyebilirim. Şehrin bir kısmını ve uzaktaki tepeleri görebiliyorduk. Muhteşem bir gün doğumu da yakaladık, bu da bir artıydı. Oradaki yemekleri denemedik, bu yüzden yorum yapamam. Çıkış işlemi de sorunsuzdu.

"After hours of travelling from abroad we needed somewhere that was close to the railway station to travel home the following day .on arrival very late at night from checking in to being in our room was within 5 minutes. Room very clean tea and coffee amenities the bed fabulous couldn't fault it very clean and comfortable as was the room air con was great due to traveling and being tired we felt very cold that was soon corrected with the heating of the air con traveling early meant we were too early for breakfast although we were offered breakfast to take away with us staff cheerful and friendly .highly recommend"

Sonunda içeri girmeme izin verdiler ve bunun Trip.com ile otel arasında bir hata olduğunu düşündüklerini ve halledeceklerini söylediler. Daha önce de konaklamıştım ve benzer şekilde uzun bir giriş süreci yaşamıştım - bunun Trip.com rezervasyonlarıyla mı yoksa genel olarak yavaşlıkla mı ilgili olduğundan emin değilim! 10 sterlinlik depozito ücreti alınmadı. Yatak çok rahattı. Otelin önü iskeleyle kaplıydı, ancak sabah işe başlamadan önce ayrıldığım için konaklamayı etkilemedi. MMisafir KullanıcıThe good things about the hotel were its location. Close to restaurants, a famous Banksy or two, lots of shops and theatres. Is a beautiful hotel with nice places to sit and meet if you are in a group. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The car park, despite being £17 per night, was actually better value than other options nearby and we were able to leave the car there until midnight on the day of check out.
The negatives were that we were not able to get a reservation in the hotel restaurant which we found unusual. We had a group from 8 to 80 so we were worried about walking yet had no choice as they couldn’t fit us in. They were also impossible to contact as they didn’t reply to messages. There was chaos at check in with guests waiting for up to an hour to check in and get their keys. There were long queues for over two hours from 3pm to at least 5pm. Their excuse was that the hotel was fully booked but it’s not as though they didn’t know all those people were coming! They should have been prepared and there were a lot of unhappy customers that Saturday evening. Some front desk staff were flustered and sorry but couldn’t do anything about it and some didn’t seem to care. We were there a bit earlier so they could have got the process started but they wouldn’t so we had to queue twice. We were quite fed up. Even after all that and me paying £68 for 4 cars I had to keep repeating that I had already paid that and the next day.
Something in the system needs to change as it’s frustrating to spend 2 hours checking in when you are only staying for 1 night.
Perhaps if they are expecting so many people again they could put out tea and coffee in the tea lounge with a screen to enter and pay for your car and then have some kind of ticket system where you are called to the desk when it’s your turn.
It certainly needs better management as it’s not the welcome you expect when you’ve paid to stay in the Marriott brand.

BBuzzingtravelerI have to say that I’ve worried in the beginning when I was booking it. Some reviews brought me concerns. However, after I got my room, everything is good enough for the price we paid. I would not say it’s super clean and super nice but it’s good enough for stay. They do daily room cleaning. All the facilities you need are there. Especially the gym and the health centre are amazing. For the price I am paying I would not expect that. The location is perfect. Short walk from the train station and short walk to all the attractions. Makes it easy to in and out. The room I’ve got is also quiet. Overall I would definitely come back again if I ever come to Bristol. This is a highlight of our trip.

The staff were welcoming and helpful, making us feel that nothing was too much trouble.
The room was clean, the mattress comfy and the tv was a decent size.
We enjoyed our stay there and would gladly do so again.

I had booked via the Trip App and paid for a double room for 2 people with breakfast- at checkout a very rude receptionist demanded I pay £29 for two breakfasts and would not accept I’d already in effect paid for breakfast when booking. I showed her the booking confirmation which clearly stated the deal included breakfast - she still asked for payment. I demanded to see the Manager who still was reticent to accept that breakfast had already been paid for…..
Unacceptable.
As a result we were late for a family funeral

MMisafir KullanıcıFantastic hotel that's great for families! We had such a great stay with our 7 year old. Our family suite even had a special ”VIP” bathrobe and welcome cookies for our child. The service was exemplary throughout, as was the food (dinner and breakfast).
The pool/spa was divine - the whirlpool on particular was nice and hot, and you can even order cocktails to sip by the pool!
BE WARNED: there is an additional charge for the spa/pool when you book through a third party. We made a fuss about this and got the charge waived, but apparently it's included if you book directly with the hotel. This was NOT clear on the listing when we booked.

GGemJHad a lovely stay overnight at the Grand. Whilst both lifts were broken they had my bags brought up to my room for me and kindly stored them when I checked out as well so I could explore the city before my train departure. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, with everything I needed. Only slight gripe was with the towels, whilst they were clean they were a bit tatty and they had quite a musty smell to them. Apart from that I can't fault any part of my stay.
