"What an absolute amazing find. The setting was so beautiful and the room was outstanding and so much nicer than we could have ever imagined. The free standing bath was our favourite, the bed was very comfortable and the settee area was very nice. The staff were very understanding of my sons disability and were very patient and kind. The breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. One of the nicest places we have ever stayed and cannot wait to return. Could have easily stayed there for days"

"This hotel has got high standards on cleanliness and service consistently. On a bitterly cold weekend the room was warm throughout. In fact very comfortable bed and no need for extra blanket. 2 small issues. The pillows were a bit lumpy but fine and the restarant did not serve evening meals to our liking but overall outstanding !!! Cannot wait to return."

"ALCON, I was very happy with my stay, during check- in staff was very friendly and answered all my questions. The room was very clean and nice only small problem is that rooms are not set up for the powering up of cell-phones, Recommend the desk provide attachments so that tourist can keep there phones powered up. During my 12 days stayed at four other similiar locations, your facility was the only one without adapters for cell phone charge. Your food downstairs was great especially enjoyed the fish and chips. All in all a great stay I will DE finitely be returning very much enjoyed my stay with you,"

"I booked this hotel for two nights so my child could enjoy the swimming pool, but unfortunately, it was closed for upgrades. This was not mentioned when booking, and we only found out at check-in, which left my child very disappointed. The real highlight of this hotel is the staff. From reception to the restaurant team and cleaners, everyone was professional, hardworking, and genuinely kind. Their service was some of the best I’ve experienced in the UK, and they really do their best to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. The downside is the building itself, which is very dated. The rooms are squeaky, the doors and hallways are worn, and there’s no elevator. I saw several guests struggling with heavy luggage on the stairs, so if you have large bags, I’d strongly recommend requesting a ground floor room. That said, the building itself is outdated and badly in need of renovations. Doors have chipped paint, the hallway lighting is old, the sauna and changing rooms are poorly designed, and the gym has very limited space and equipment. Compared to other hotels in Swindon, this one feels extremely dated. Overall, my experience was good thanks to the wonderful staff and their service. I would consider staying here again, but for better value, there are other hotels nearby with larger rooms, elevators, modern facilities, and a better breakfast and restaurant experience. I truly hope Holiday Inn Swindon invests in a full upgrade of the building and facilities—partial, low-quality renovations (like the bathrooms) won’t be enough."

The rooms are very spacious, with two double beds—perfect for a family holiday. The indoor pool and the gym is a nice touch, though it’s worth noting that external guests can also use it. Things to keep in mind: Parking – There’s a £7.50 per night charge, which feels a bit steep. The website mentions free parking for conference delegates, so it might be worth asking at check-in. Holding Charge – A £50 pre-authorisation is applied to your card. While common in some places, many UK chains no longer do this, so plan ahead if your card balance is tight. TV Experience – The TV system could use an upgrade. Menu and guide functions weren’t available, and picture quality was poor—even on HD channels. Room Details – The room was spotless, but we noticed condensation on the windows and a slight odd smell on arrival. Nothing major, but worth mentioning. Overall: The hotel offers the comfort and space you’d expect from a reputable brand, but a few details—like parking, the TV system, and the holding charge—felt out of step with Marriott’s usual high standards. Still, if you’re looking for a clean, spacious room and good facilities, it’s a solid choice."

"staff were so friendly, the manager lady was amazing and so helpful when we had lost our toothbrushes and our keycard wouldn’t work, the whole process was so quick and they were so friendly, jamacia was very polite and checking us in and out and was really helpful when we wanted a later check in, really cheap aswell for the night and the bedroom and bathroom were really clean, will definitely be returning!"

"This property is in the heart of downtown Swindon. A Salvation Army shares the building so there were always people hangin out in front. Never felt unsafe, just a bit seedy. Great location in the heart of downtown. Easy to walk to shopping and restaurants. Room was clean and did the job. Can't really complain for the price."
